edf didnt seem that evil at all,infact id say they were the good guys,maybe they knew about the aliens,and if there was no red faction the edf woudnt hyave killed those people,red faction wnate dthe edf bases gone,and without even bothering about diplomacy attacked the edf.

@BladeOfParthia mayb the edf would have been able and strong enough to hold back hale before he even destroyed the terraformer wif all their gunships and such instead of the red faction wif just like 4 transports and so on, and they had tanks and the army too which would have been great against hale and the aliens and would have been able to keep the cultists away from the seal site of the aliens

I just beat the game today and it was a lot of fun. Didn't really like it at first but I got into it and then couldn't stop playing it. I did do the side missions once I got into Bad Lands and they are actually fun (except Transport).

Yea, you can go around and do all of the side missions. You can also play on Insane difficulty.

His brother was a known terrorist and he was likely to be one as well. Maybe if I had played the previous red faction games I would understand the motive for the red faction's actions but in this game they seem to be the ones doing all of the killing.

It seems to me that the EDF were only defending the investment they made by terraforming and populating the planet from a group of aggressive terrorists that illegitimately claimed the planet as their own.

I believe that their paranoia and institution of martial law would even be allowable under the US constitution given that it says this.
