@zakkosa989 Dude MBDTF is by far Kanyes best album. It is a classic. It has a 94 on Metacritic, not only Kanyes highest album but top 10 in highest rated albums of any artist.

@BroDovakhiin Doesn't matter what the rating gets or how much he sold. The content is way better in his first two albums. And you can't call MBDTF a classic when the guy just got 4 Grammy's for that album last week...

@zakkosa989 Usually I agree with this if it it just one review, but Metacritic puts together the reviews of every major critic and averages them out. MBDTF is by far the best,the most diverse and most creative album Kanye has made so far.

@BroDovakhiin Okay I'm not talking about creativity and diversity... I'm talking about old fashioned rap as it is, a beat with lyrics and flow. Most of his songs on that album are about him on top and living the life. But for something as great as College Dropout it's something everyone can relate to, where he raps about his struggles and family. Shit like that is what defines rap for me. Which is why mainstream is the way it is, apparently no one wants to hear that shit anymore.

@zakkosa989 Thats one of the biggest misconception of what makes something good, is that if allot of people can relate to it, then it must be good. Picasso sold one piece of art in his whole life time and nobody thought he his work was special while he was alive, yet we look at him as a genius now.

@zakkosa989 Kanye still raps about struggle and pain. go listen to Murder To Excellence, New Day, Blame Game, Lost in the World, Why I love You, Welcome to the Jungle. All of those songs are from MBDTF & Watch the Throne. Also, most songs on MBDTF, are not about Kanye talking about him being on top but rather a self portrait of a the love/ hate/regret/remorse he feels about himself and his life. Power, Runaway, Blame Game, All the Lights & Lost in the World reflect this.

@BroDovakhiin The content in those songs are no where near Hey Mama, Family Business, Big Brother, Through The Wire, Spaceship. I might as well just name all the songs off his first two albums which is why Graduation and College Dropout > Throne and MBDTF.

Lost in the World = not much content there, Power = More about his ego than anything, All of the Lights = Nothing really here, Welcome to The Jungle = A whole 7 bars

You know why you can't compare the content? Cause there isn't any...

80s and heartbreak was a classic. Then this. Now watch the throne. Hip Hop isnt dead its just badly bruised wack lyricist, sure they're beat bangs, but do you hear they're lyrics and when i say "they" i mean lil wayne.
