  • Thank you for this recipe Maangchi! You make every thing look so simple to make. I prefer this dish than normal steak because you get to eat tons of fresh veggies(much more healthy). Oh and for me I like to eat it with kimchi and a few side dishes as well. :)

  • ive almost perfected my galbi. i followed your way of cutting the beef. taking out those fatty part. for my beef, i used a rib eye from cost co. then i added some galbi marinate (to lazy to make one from scratch hahaha) and a fresh korean pear. the korean pear really makes a big difference. it makes the beef soft and juicy. i thought it wont make that much difference, but it did. thanks for the vids.

  • It's hot pepper flakes crushed finely. You can get at a Korean grocery store. I posted the photo of hot pepper flakes that I use on my website. Check the ingredient section there.
