"On his DVD Live at the Hollywood Bowl, artist Ben Harper relates a childhood experience in which, during a 1978 Bob Marley concert at the Starlight Amphitheater, Peter Tosh showed up unannounced as this song was being performed, took the microphone from Marley and started singing the last verse of the song to thunderous applause. Tosh was on tour opening for the Rolling Stones at the time"
Babylon will only change its ways if enough people are seen to oppose them because it jeopardises their power. If their power is lost they lose their source of evil and cannot corrupt the human race as they plan (like the demons they are).

@kaylylyn I'd say Peter was better than Bob. Not taking anything from Bob for Bob held his own, But if I was going to decide who to see, I'd see Tosh all the way. Because when I check out their live concerts, Bob would sound exactly like the album. Tosh would be totally different from his album versions. I like that. Tosh shows would be slamming!!! I'm glad I got to see Tosh live and (Live-rect) back in 83.
peter sings what he wants to sing and kno body cud stop him from saying what he had to say and how he wants say it i kno if he had his won way he wud be a revolutionist i boom baa clatt too!
darryl thompson on lead guitar, sly dunbar on drums, robbie shakespeare on bass, mikey chung on second guitar, the tamlins on chorus, only missing the 2 keyboards
In the original recording by the Wailling Wailers - Peter Tosh sung lead on this song backed by Robert nesta marley and Bunny Wailer. But Bob Marley wrote it and it was later on The Album LIVE with him and "the new Wailers" in 75
While Bob Marley is often remembered as the Rasta of Love, Peter Tosh must be revered as the great Rasta Messenger who spoke truth to power & who lived his message, unflinching, uncompromising, even as he was brutalized, even as he was murdered.
That Peter had a keen sense of humor can be seen in two 'Tube videos where Mick Jagger sings DON'T LOOK BACK with Peter (who HAD to be thinking how WACKED Jagger was ;)
"Peace is the diploma you get in the cemetery." Peter Tosh
The best version is The Wailers' version, where both Bob and Peter share lead vocals...

The debate about who is better, bob or peter, is sterile. They are yin and yang and together form the heart of reggae

He's great.
But i wouldn't say, he's better than Bob.
Both of them are great-.

my guess is that, people like this version better, cos they have been listening to bob's for a long time and they got bored, right?
both are good.i agree that tosh is more 'agresive' when singing.
