One thing I would like to point out. How did Tsumemon the Digimon that looks like a hand) skipped its evolution all the way till its Ultimate state, Diaboromon? It's not in the net but in the open wild, so it couldn't manipulate its surrounding to evolve itself like it did in "Our War Game (Digital Monster's second anime movie)." Only Child Stage Digimon managed to warp evolve so far as we know it, unless you've invented a new method for Baby II Stage Digimon to warp evolve.

Actually, Pokémon has a repetitive and terrible plot. The reasons here:

1 - Pokémon is only tournaments, tournaments and more tournaments. Ash will never win these tournaments, because if he win the anime ends.

2 - There is no reason for these tournaments. The trainers just fighting to be the best. It is just an endless and stupid competition.

3 - This is a stupid reason to force other life forms to fight. The poké-fights are so cruel.

The trainers catches Pokémon from their natural habitat against the wishes of them and forces these poor victims to fight against another Pokémons.

The Pokémons are condemned to a life of struggle and suffering at the hands of those trainers.

All this suffering just to increase the status of trainer.

@GallantChaddymon Actually if you keep changing the plot it may become more interesting but you will start to run out of ideas.(AKA:Digimon) while if you have the same plot but make little changes(characters,place,new stuff,old stuff etc.) you have a lot more you can do and it spends less time.(AKA:Pokemon)And one more thing Digimon's plot is mostly about saving the digital world and pokemon's is to collect all.....well you know the rest so you can't really say that pokemon never changes plots.
