Can't tell you how many times this has happened to me and my friends. We'll be in a mall and someone will wave in my direction, I wave back, only to find out they're waving at someone else. In these situations I find the only thing I can do, is what I do when I happen to trip or slip in public. Laugh at yourself, because it is just so ridiculous = ] !
Lol, that was hilarious. That said, I can guarantee you that they were waving at you. Kids LOVE to do that. If you're ever driving behind a caravan or station wagon with little kids in it chances are they are going to wave to you.
Man... you need to relax! At any moment, you are an exact sum of every experience that you've ever had... everything that you've seen/read, done - good or bad, heard/been told, thought, learned, etc., etc. It all adds up to form who you are now. Learn from your experiences - or not, but don't allow yourself to get so bent out of shape over an encounter like the one that you described... that you would contemplate suicide for even a moment. You're young - not "middle-aged." Enjoy life.
This is a funny story. I always make it a point to wave to all of the kids in my schools. I wave and say hi to every single kid I see everyday. Every time without fail. Then I noticed that my kids went out and starting waving and saying hello to other Japanese people and foreigners and saying Hi or Hello in English.
Ghehe, I've also had some of those moments, bet yeah, it's really not their fault or so, they are just kids :P , I got used to it, and nowadays i only smile at one if they are waving at me and are shouting hallo mister, whats quite funny cause i'm only 16 :)
Funny! Just another day in life. Keep the vids coming, bro!
BTW...I got a job interview with a Japanese/American company next week. Any advice on the what to expect in their interview? I'm sure it's not gonna be like having one in the states.
Well, depends on the company, but general rules of thumb, be very formal. As it is a military interview or sort. I had an odd experience so I might talk about it in the next video.
Lol. You need to be at a 2 instead of at 10.

Nothing to be ashamed about, it was just you and some kids you'll probably never see again, and maybe they were waving at you. Ya never know.
