@dralenvan When I first started using this equipment I was getting used to the dry/wet feature. When you see me continually spinning it back im just making sure that the effect wheel is switched off, ie (no effect). In my latest Vid (once i have gotten used to it) Electro House Mix - I dont spin without any effect as much. Hope this answers the question :)

sorry to hear your having problems with your reloop man. The best place to goto for support is hereis the official reloop support forum at reloopdj.com they are really good and have helped me alot when i have had problems too.

bij mij werkte hij eerst ook niet man echt kut:S wat is het probleem?

als je tractor instaleerd komt er nog een scherm dat je nog iets moet installeren;) als je dat kleine dingetje vergeet kan je helemaal niets!!!! :S kijk maar en instaleer tractor effetjes opnieuw. dan kreig je zowiezo dat scherm;)

Yes it can actually plug into almost every computer as long as they meet the minimum requirmnts for Traktor and Reloop. To simplify it really - if your computer is 2-3 years old, shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helps.

I'm a Technics 1210 vinyl DJ, but started out originally on a pair of Pioneer CDJ500S decks, I have to say I LOVE the feel of the Technics, the resistance, torque etc.

I'm thinking of buying one of these units, but how do they compare to the feel of the Technics? The jog dials looks VERY fluid in comparison, are they good for very fine adjustment while the mix is going?

Reason I ask is because I always mix using my ears and never with beat syncing features (not sure what you're using here).

Hey man, I started on Vinyls first off and they are pretty incredible, built all the principles i learnt about mixcing from vinyls.

To be completly honest thay are nothing like Vinyls in terms of how you start the track, switch tracks etc. However they can do extremly fine adjustments with ease while mixing. Im the same, even though the reloop has a sync feature I never use it, I do it manually as well :)

but yeah great unit, give it a try you'll love it.

Quite honestly I think the build quality is the best available right now. It does not have that cheap plastic feel that you get from other mixers and its heavy so it must be good :D

I got the digital jockey 2 ie yesterday and have been playing around with it, such an awesome piece of kit. Looking forward to one day creating a mix up to this standard. Really good mixing man. Are you currently using traktor pro as I've only been messing around with the light edition, would you advise to upgrade as soon as possible.

And good choice on getting the DJ IE2, you'll love it. I reccomend going for PRO straight away if you can. The LE version is alright, but has many limitations. I personally went straight for the PRO.

I personally started with the BCD3000 and VDJ but this would be good to get started on as well. It has ALOT of features but just focus on the basics for starters and then use the more advanced features as you get expierienced :)

Hey dude, i was wondering if you were experiencing the same problem: every time i have 3 fx on in deck a and then switch them off simultanously it activates the loop in deck a. I'm afraid its a hardware fault, coz i reset my controller settings and still the same problem. Plse check yours out if you don't mind and drop a line.

Hey man, really sorry about late reply

Yeah this happens to me too, when de-activating all 3 effects at once it activates the loop. It dosn't look like a hardware fault, just a midi mapping conflict. So pressing ll 3 effects button at once is sending the same signal as when you press the loop button. Another way to kill all effects is use the dry/wet feature instead so you wont have the loop [roblem. Hope this helps.

@confikris1985 If you own the Interface Edition, you can plug turntables to it, and the Master Edition is capable of working as a standalone mixer, without any kind of dj program. The Controller Edition lacks the ability to be used as an audio interface.

I own a controller edition, i think it's a pretty good controller, maybe the worst problem is that the jog wheels are a bit too close to the volume faders, so you might happen to move them accidentally...

@confikris1985 Yeah F01d3r pretty much said it. Master edition allows you to mix indepently of any software. Haha and I totally agree about the volume button moving accidetly next to the jog wheel :)

But yeah its pretty stable, you should actually be more worried about ur laptop setup than the controller to be honest, coz once you get used to it - makes mixing ultra fun :)

anyway: are you performing with this setup in any clubs/pubs? my personal experiences tell me that this is a fine thing to use (alongside those few other equipments i own), but you cannot be sure, you know:)

The other thing that you should also consider is the computers setup you are using along the reloop. Becasue on my Vista machine the sound use to stutter really badly after about 1 hour and only lasts for a few seconds but its really distracting -

@F01d3r I found out it was windows updates doing a search on the net, so i fixed the prob by d'cing the net and disabling updates. Because every setup is different I would recommend you run a few practice sessions at home with ur set up for 2 -3 hours and if everything is ok then its good to go :)

@DjAceJay Alright, thanks mate:) These net problems are solved, I always turn nearly all background applications off when i'm making something (only house parties and stuff so far), so this problem did not occur. But the sound quality was awful, and so were the capabilities of my controllers so with this unit, those all are solved.

Hey BobbyLikesIt,

1. Learning curve - Well for me I came from Vinyl and CDJ's so the DJing element I was already quite familiar with. Learning Traktor Pro and Reloop on its own can be daunting at first as almost everything (besides basic controls) is different. However once you know whats what and what does what then its pretty straight forward from there.

2. I use a Toshiba Laptop with Vista and Traktor Pro, Headphones and the Reloop mixer. Thats it. You may also notice from my mix vids I don't have to touch the computer not even once, everything from selecting the tracks and mixing them can all be done directly on the Reloop.

3. My personal reccomendation would be to go to Traktor Pro straight away as it has ALOT of features over the LE. LE comes with the controller however you are entitled to a special discount offer to upgrade from LE to PRO.

Congratulations on getting this mixer, you will love it.

Are you using Traktor LE (Comes with Reloop) or Traktor Pro ?

If your using Traktor Pro just make sure you are using the right Mapping. There should be two mapping files 1 for LE and 1 for PRO. You can change them in Settings, then on the bottom left click IMPORT and navigate to the TSI file. If your stuck I could send you the file if you need it. Hope this helps.

well, the effects are all the same in both software, the difference is that in Traktor Pro you can use a lot of effects together, while in Traktor LE you can use much less.

Yeah the RDJ is great, it was abit hard to get used to at first coming from the BCD3000 But after you practice and get used to it then everything changes and its just suddenly as good as any other mixer/cdjs. Hope this helps :)
