I think he must have digital pickups. Like on Line 6 guitars, they are separate from each individual string. Thats just my guess

i think its much simpler. many guitars have a piezo pickup under the bridge, if you install one piezo per string you can have a multi channel output. that works completely analog but of course cables are needed. i dont think he has a 6 channel wireless system in his guitar...

actually on a normal pickup you have individual signals coming from each string and magnet, they are combined which is why you only need one guitar cable, but theoretically you could output each string seperately

But that is different completely to the way digital pickups work still. Well depending how you look at it. I have went off the idea that he uses digital pickups though. Not sure if he uses nylon strings though. I thinkhis computer is kinda gimicky though. Based on his music I dont really see any need for it. Not that it wasnt already gimicky enough. Godd guitarist though.

there really is no such thing as a digital pickup

the pickups are magnets that use the property of induction to turn the acoustic energy into electrical energy

to then make that signal digital you need to quantify the electrical signal using an analog to digital converter

not a digital pickup

I love it. Im just wondering, if he said he has pickups underneath "each the strings", I wonder what he means by that. Surely there is not a seperate pickup for each string? I mean that would be sweet but I cant see how it's possible. Plus, he would have to have several outputs on his guitar to be able to route each string to different channels in a surround field.Also it looks like he's ot a condenser mic on the guitar. Cant see any cords or cables anywhere! Am I all alone here?

he IS in fact classically trained. he's a super nice guy. i did a masterclass with him at "the monkey" just as he was starting to work with the 5.1 surround on all his pieces. he doesn't wear shoes because the guitar doesn't sit right for him to play percussion while sitting on the milk crate. i hoped you actually watched his other videos prior to making those comments.
