  • Now i know why my mw3 won't turn on on steam.

  • Possible reason they have it is because they want to detect any hacking software you have.

  • Origin + SOPA = Jail Time?

  • what did i sign up for?

  • What did i sing up for?

  • Damn, EA is going to see all my porn ?

  • @CookiesAndGaming hahahaha me 2 O_o

  • only reason I don't buy Battlefield3!

  • I've been temporarily suspended from Battlelog twice in the span of a week for offensive forum posts. I wasn't just banned from battlelogs forums either. I was completely locked out of Battlelog from Nov. 25th-28th and then from Dec. 3rd-6th. I was unable to access the game at all. My numerous attempts to contact EA regarding the matter were avoided. My emails to EA's customer service went unanswered. A forum ban and a game ban should be seperate. EA however, seems to think otherwise.

  • is this still like this??? if so i wont bother getting it for pc and will have to play mw3 :( :(

  • @Fuegan121 go to console! -.-'

  • I am with you - I'm not getting this game until EA re-think their EULA. The best way we can get this done is by boycotting the game (specifically Origin - the game itself looks epic, but...it's like sleeping with a model you know has an STI!)

  • People are missing the point. If you let them get away with this then what is next? You are willing for someone to take all your information for a game you only get excited about for a month or so? It is like letting a stranger go into your home and look through your house and open your mail.

This is unacceptable. Go to the battlefield3 (adding) .com and they do read the blog there, have your say. Or you CAN send the game back to Texas and get your money back, I did.

  • Paranoid much? jesus christ get a grip...

  • @carlisafish how is it paranoia? everything he said is pretty much true. or i guess you wouldnt mind total strangers and a corparation being able to access everything on your pc. personal messages, photo's. all your software etc?

  • EA = Electronic Assholes

  • the develop team should be pissed off too

  • Well I've already bought the game, and now I'm watching this, I'm really worried, I was really hoping Battlefield 3 would somewhat reduce the number of COD players, so I can at least talk to people about battlefield 3 without getting a barrage of "it's a crap game". I'm not uninstalling it, but I'm certainly worried, and will certainly be keeping track of this incident...

  • I'll take a picture of my hairy saggy ball sack at 1920x1080p and label "EA-DICE FOR YOU" make sure they see it :D..I don't fucking care if they scan my computer and wanted to watch some of my porn collection. Besides, even if they changed the wording, how the fuck would we know? o.O

  • I agreed to hit all because sandbox is the bomb, they cant see what i do... SANDBOX FTW!

  • This has been in the EULA for years. You people are now realizing it and are blowing it out of proportion...

  • lol who cares if they see what i have on my computer?

  • @gronsaksgrej So you're ok for EA to go through all the contents of your documents, emails, instant messenger conversations, web browsing history and bookmarks etc etc ?

I know I'm not and nobody else in their right mind wouldn't be either.

  • At the next videogame-convetions everybody should throw rotten eggs and dogshit at EA. Because thats what they deserve.

  • Do you have facebook? you know they do the same thing as origin lol. Might want to consider deleting it as well if you do not want it going on!

  • EA- making Activision with it's retarded DLC policies and huge prices look like total angels since 2011

  • in germany there is currently a shitstorm going on because of Origin and its eula

  • Yep i didnt buy BF3 this is one of the reason

  • They're going to look at everything in my entire hardrive? I'm going to make a word document that says FUCK YOU EA FOR INVADING MY PRIVACY

    lolol

  • May violate my privacy? Bullshit, it already did.

  • lol i don't want u to see my hardware!!!

This guy has a really strange broken roundabout way of talking. Why is he popular? lol

  • Once people start openly embracing total control of their virtual privacy (apart from openly stripping their personal life on facebook for everyone to see, while laughing).. nothing is gonna be able to cure this.

If people do not stand up to this in great numbers, our mental, and soon physical health too, will become completely compromised.

  • It is not relevant if your habit is not to keep anything personal at all on your gaming pc. It's irrelevant if you don't care if any company has insight in your PC running times or brosing histories.

If humanity starts tolerating intrusions into privacy like this, this won't be the end of it.

The mere thought of accepting something like this gives me shivers and makes me fear, makes my insides cringe in pain.

This is yet again another attempt at converting us, large scale, into mindless zombies

  • greetings from german anti-origin movement theorigin.de

  • Well said I agree. I started playing BF3 then found out about the EA Terms and conditions in Origin. It's like being forced to install a Trojan to play a game. I deleted it off my computer and have sent EA an email about my concerns.

  • I might make a desktop background saying "Fuck off EA, this hentai is mine!"

  • I agree with the dude under me LOL.

  • If they want to look at my porn, credit card info, social security number, hentai, and that those embarrassing pictures of me wearing a dress I don't care. As long as I can play Battlefield 3.

  • @Ostnizdasht206 Oi, Don't forget you gay amputee midget porn!

  • It's been in EA's EULA for YEARS. I think people are just over reacting.

  • Origin prevents my computer from shutting down. That is gay and the support is so shit. I FUCKING HATE EA.

  • EA can violate me all they want, they deserve to for publishing such an amazing game. In fact, i'd be honoured to be violated by EA. I'd feel.. enlightened.

  • Who stores personal information on a gaming PC? I don't care what EA sees on my computer because all they are going to see is an empty history and a bunch of downloadable games. Whoever complains about this agreement is completely stupid. All personal information should be stored on an external harddrive anyway, not just the computer. You guys are making a big deal out of nothing.

  • @yungjesse I encourage you to make an experiment... Have a break, walk outside and look around. Imagine those people that are passing by will have access to your computer. Text files, pictures, list of software. Scary?

  • @xbeforea Its a GAMING COMPUTER. Who keeps personal information on a computer that it built for GAMES. What the hell are you people complaining about?

  • SHARE THIS VIDEO PEOPLE, SO THEY CAN CHANGE THEYRE SHIT!!!

  • Don't think I've ever uninstalled an application so fast. :)

  • Oh fuck.

  • GUYS THUMBS UP AND READ THIS THIS HAS BEEN ADRESSED BY EA!!! THEY MIGHT THEM TO LOOK AT YOUR FILES CORRECT BUT! THEY SAY NOW U HAVE THE RIGHT TO SUE THEM FOR 500,000!! IF THEY SHARE YOUR INFO OR IP ADRESS! ETC. THERE ALLOWED TO LOOK AT YOUR FILES!!!! BUT THEY CANNOT INSTALL SPYWARE ETC =DDDD IM DOWNLOADING NOW!

  • bla bla bla ) useless talk

  • You say its a Violation of Privacie ( Sorry spelling ) at the point you hit the " I accept the agreement terms" It is not anymore, you basicly told them its ok.

But he is right, I use this PC not only to play games my damn Private stuff and work stuff is on here aswell.

I don't know what you guys do but ima wait this whole thing out and see what will happen.

  • @elmoTOTHEMAX learn to spell straight you uneducated faggot

    get educated retard

  • all of you faggotards are pussies.

  • I waited for ages for this game... now i cant play it.

The EA's copy of steam, origin, allows EA to freely and legally spy you.

This includes installing spyware on your computer without your approval, gathering personal info like Bank accounts and sending them to 3rd parties, etc etc. And we cant sue EA if it leaks personal info because of Origin ToS.

    It's all big scam.

DICE made epic game, buy EA ruined it with Origin

  • @Warhamer116 you are a retard

  • @MammalAnonymous Care to justify?

  • I want to know what if it says its allowed to read and send files back to EA, or just read files according to heuristics information and detect if its a crack for an EA product or not. Its not like they want to steal a copy of our summer holiday photos...

  • Guess I'll just download a cracked version when it comes out.

  • Does this mean that EA might confiscate my collection of Brazilian fart porn?

  • i bet EA did that for pirating

  • So basically Origins is like steam?

  • The anon are not going to like this.

If this isn't changed I guarantee the legion will do somthing until it is changed.

  • @TheSmartestTaco You're an idiot

  • @MammalAnonymous And you're a nigger.

  • @TheSmartestTaco I'm so offended, HAHAHAHAHA

    idiot.

  • @MammalAnonymous Gtfo troll. None of the commentord here like you.

  • jj

  • When you Go to work for EA they ask you in your interview if you have any hacked software on your PC, so does this suprise me?? no the reasoning behind what they are doing is to free the gameing world of fucking hacks. Only hackers will be upset about EA looking for 3rd party software. So wich are you? a DGF or a hack

  • @blignell Don't you realize who is upset here? IT'S NOT HACKERS!!1 LOL

    IDIOT.

NOBODY with a functioning brain gives a fuck about this EULA

  • Gunn, If you are that worried them maybe you should not be storing personal information on your gaming PC. Or the best way is to put all your personal stuff on a external drive, then don't turn that drive on while playing any game.

  • Waste of time...

EA addressed this and changed their EULA

  • and P.S. get rid of your Collin Feral/Brad Pitt hat, you look like a douche.

  • This guy is a fucking moron and needs to stfu. Dude, the only people who care are the people with gobs of pirated software and fag porn. Scan my pc for all I care, I'm a normal human being with nothing to hide. Scan my pc untill your blue in the fucking face!

  • @Bazorok banking accounts, passwords, personal documents, yeah you dont get it do you? i dont care they would find the porn, i honestly dont, what i do care about is personal docs, passwords and banking docs ...

  • @mesothorium banking docs? lmao

god damn why are there so many retards like you that don't know how to use a computer?

  • @MammalAnonymous my job makes it hard to NOT keep these files stored on pc "retard" before calling someone out you should stop and look in the mirror, OR ask the person in question why it can pose a problem

    retard

  • @Bazorok and what happens when origin would get hacked ? ooo yes, total carnage

  • @mesothorium yeah I agree... what happens if the same thing happens to them what happened to psn... yeah then he'll be singing a different song... they'll change it.

  • @Bazorok lol, any real pirate doesn't give a shit, I'm gonna pirate BF3 just like I pirate almost every game. The only people complaining are little retards that don't know how computers work.

  • Herp derp, people are idiots. Windows scans and throws more of your information out to people than EA ever will. They only scan stuff relevant to the game and EA. Stop being drama queens.

  • it's stupid that EA does this, it's not their business, and if it's true i'm still gonna buy the game because it just looks so freaking amazing

  • PC gamers started getting skrewed when they only released bfbc 1 for the console only..reason being, EA greedy, sick of loss of revenue due to people just downloading on PC, so, realising that its still a big deal for PC gamers, they built in a clause to catch us doing it, and guess what, they have your crediat card on file. so just cancel that card after your pre orders gone throguh and then just wait for them to try that shit on.

  • I dont ahve any problem with it at all, i just wish it was being done so BIG DORKS, like this guy, cant use HAcks, becuase origin will detect it, problem being is, there is no out right statement from EA that this is the purpose. Im sure alot of people like to 'download pirate software' and play single player base games. Im sure this is a for sure movement towards just charging your credit card, if such software is found. Im not to bothered, i got some good porn they canhave a gleg at. Enjoy!.

  • thats why the agreement is there....if you dont like it, dont agree to it?

  • haha this dude is a moron.. they dont scan everyting only the things that is relevant for a game crashes or anything else.. Why would they scan my season two of scrubs.. my david guetta album! the scan the Direct X file and your drivers...

    HAHA go back to COD!

  • IF you dont have anything to hide...wtf do you have to worry about? I myself will be installing this asap. Sucks, i agree.

  • I love it how he rants for two whole minutes about the same exact thing

  • Thanks for the heads up. Not buying.

  • All they have done is changed the wording of the EULA a bit, but it still states that if EA deems any material on your computer to be illegal they will report you to the authorites, it is stated right after it says that your information will not be shared for profits. I'm getting this on PC, however, I will not be agreeing to the EULA and I will be contacting EA personally on this matter. If they think it is right or legal then why doesn't Windows do the same thing? Totally unethical and wrong.

  • They want to check out how much pirated stuff you have on your computer so they can nail your ass later on. That could be one of the reasons.

  • @Stealth3 Totally, plus this "Origin" software will also look through your .mp3, .avi and *torrent files, so if any of that stuff is 'questionable' ie some nasty porn, then they will know about it and have it on record with your personal info. So the fact that they say they will not share this info for profit doesn't make me anymore comfortable with the thought that some EA douche bag can have a chuckle at my personal files no matter what they are.

  • "A lot of people are saying..."

No they're not. You're saying it. User Agreements are in EVERY game. Don't paraphrase the EULA, post the thing up or STFU TheGUNNShop. You're stating "it basically" "it can"... post what it says not what it can mean.

  • @TJYoung80234 He cant help it. He makes money off of riding the hype train wether the hype is good or bad. Hes basically a soap opera version of of the real gaming media.

  • @matthewsnbu not its not and no your not playing it. lol

  • Way to go gunn, make hundreds of people cancel their order of BF3 because you said some old news of something that has already been fixed

  • Steam does the same thing, you can go to a section of steam and see what percentage of people have certain programs. They can see software and hardware. To be honest... I've already sold my soul to BF3, and so I'm buying it. I don't care if they go through everything on my PC.

  • @PoWn3d0704 Yes but you can op out of doing that. It even asks you politely if you would like to participate in the monthly survey for them to even touch or go though your system. I myself don't mind what they dig up on my PC. I know it won't be used against me, have you seen what's on the survey and how many people have utorrent installed XD

  • I wil lstill buy it ... I would sell my sould for it!

  • haha who owns ea hitler?

  • Is this still a problem or have they changed it

  • Why would they want to see your software? To see what you use, most likely to decide what to add, things like Xfire, Skype, Steam, etc. to see what kinds of features gamers prefer. Web browsers, to decide how to best configure Battlelog. Software overclocking, Gamebooster, etc. It's a stretch to lay it doesn't pertain to their business, because it does.

To be clear: They won't collect data of the files on your system (your pron, passwords, etc.), only what is installed.

  • To be fair... any electronic device (computer, console, phone what ever) that is connected to a network, can be accessed by a third party. Meaning almost everything you do, whilst connected to a network, is monitored. with a few exceptions like "InPrivate Browsing" or "Incognito", So remember if it not physical, if you cant touch it, it can be accessed by someone else, to be fair the harddrive is real but the data store on that harddrive isnt. "You cant touch it, someone else can access it"

    xx

  • noo they can take my games !

  • It will feel bad watching porn and knowing that someone is watching u lol say by 2 hard erection :P

  • It's not that i have super classified government information on my PC but this feels like a dick i the Ass ...

  • Fuck !!! My extreme university project !!!

  • its for hackers do you really care if they see your software you guys are getting butt hurt you put your life up on facebook but you wont let people see your software wwwwwwwwwwooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • Even if you do watch dirty videos, do you think EA would really care? They're making money from you so they don't need to do anything with the stuff they find :P Plus yeah, it may make sure you don't hack

  • i dont really care if they check my computer

  • this is why i stick to playing my games on a console ....even though is not the real deal ....it keeps my shit private....and Im really not going to accept this from EA

  • @sempervivum66 i play ps3 so im safe lol

  • I agree butt the problebly are looking for hackers!

  • hahaha faggets on ur computers..im gunna enjoy playing on ps3 all day

  • @IplayTRASH well said fucking douchebag

  • did they CHANGE this!?!? I've wanted to play a new battlefield since battlefield 2! DAMMIT

  • dont worry EA i dont watch por....i mean redt..i mean youtube videos to do with se....i mean...MY FKING DESKTOP IS NONE OF YOUR FKING BUSINESS

  • dont worry EA i dont watch por....i mean redt..i mean youtube videos to do with se....i mean...MY FKING DESKTOP IS NONE OF YOUR FKING BUSINESS

  • my por...i mean...my pirate vide...i mean...MY DESKTOP IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!

  • Wow thats fucking bullshit sorry for my swearing but that is bullshit thats invasion on my life and privacey that they dont dam well need to know about i only have steam ventrilo and like 3 free games & black ops & advanced tactical center and some PC security & some pics i got nouthing to hide or anything but i like to know that im safe and still have my privacy ive used a credit card on here before so fuck them they aint geting my PC info and im geting hacked right now so i got it bad already.

  • This is bullshit I bought a new computer and they do this?

  • this is what happens when we tell the world we want better things.

  • i have a completely new system with nearly nothing on it but games but this agreement is absolutely wrong would it even be allowed to be distributed in the states if thats really what the eula states idk abt the eula process but u wud think that it would be checked re checked and triple checked to make sure it meets with all legal issues

  • Um. No. I think you should re-read that. Also, for those of you who for some reason care about this, just get it for xbox or ps3.

  • OOLLOOLOLL Fbi.

  • For those of you concerned about Origin and it going through your computer, both of these links show what it supposedly does.

    forum.ea (dot) c o m/eaforum/posts/list/7492824(dot)page

    gamefaqs (dot) c o m/boards/960869-battlefield-3/60145714

Worth a read, and pretty interesting. Now, as Origin updates this might change, but so far, assuming that this is all true, it doesn't seem to be doing anything malicious, also, it can be easily blocked as well....

  • @alexjyong Yeah most people don't realize and simply reply with "FUCK ORIGEN STEAM RULEZZZ!" but yeah it's not that bad it's certainly no "selling my soul".Just like Steam works itself on your PC so does Origen but people like to make Origen look bad because "Derp derp Steam came first".I dunno these idiot fanboys blow it out of proportion. And if your not going to buy BF3 because it's not on Steam then you're not a real gamer. One boxed copy of a game is not going to give you AIDS so chill out.

  • Take money that Activision, infinityward or w/e is making that shit now, gave you and go buy your self a life (or hooker) and stop BS-ing ppl about EULA. Everyone knows that thing is joke and no matter what is inside if they want they will track you and your information. Not just EA, EVERYONE... EA just thought it would be cool to tell ppl before doing it...

  • Are you kidding me EA? I lose internet access for two weeks and this is what I see. I preordered it already but will consider cancelling if I can. I have nothing to hide but this is rediculous and I find it rediculous that nobody has slam the sue hammer down.

  • can somebody please post something here when it's changed?

  • they just wanna see our teen porn.

  • No way would i fucking let them!!!

  • do people realize DICE makes the game and not EA? support DICE guys

  • What if they can see youre pirate software O_O?

    Well...ummmm..durr...

  • people with illegal torrents our going to get screwed :L or will they??

  • Oh NOES! EA will find my porn :( don't tell my parents....

  • You should be more worried about the entire federal department being able to know every single key stroke you write and always recording from your web cam even if it's off.

  • Expect to see BF3 getting 1 star on every review written by regular gamers.

  • what if i brought a bunch of parts and made a computer with no dell, bestbuy, or toshiba shit on it and the only thing on the computer was origin and BF3? then will i be ok?

  • They changed this like last week...

  • I'm not buying BF3 unless its on steam or it does not require origin to install or play!

  • ...who the fuck cares...honestly. If you use your system for what its supposed to be used for (aka TRUE gaming), you wont have any issues. Simple. You have the choice to agree to the damn thing dont act as if they are busting your door down catching you in your briefs and searching every inch of your house without consent..

  • @Link10103 Pc's aren't supposed to be used for ''True Gaming'' they were made to be used to store information you Carl

  • @MiloshFTW If you have the ability to buy/create some awesome gaming pc, then i think you should have some sense to buy a separate work/other stuff computer. Think it would be best to have 1 pc for gaming and another for whatever else. Also wtf is a carl?

  • @RyanInDetroit Dude,Why Watch a Battlefield 3 Info video if your a Mw3 Fan?

Also Since your in Detroit do you See RoboCop?

  • If u have something illegal in ure hdd(piracy) ea can simply scan that see it and I dont know maybe send the police after u?? Wont be that fun if u find urself in that situation

  • i don't Care IM From Libanon If EA Want to see what i have i don't care they look to resistance Force in my country i don't care i don't think they want that they want to see if your using a hack programme for BATTLEFIELD 3 THEY ARE NOT BITCH LIKE COD AND ACTIVISION THEY DON4T CARE ABOUT THE HACKER

  • time to put a nice .exe virus on my pc for ea to fuck there shit up XD

  • Hackers and Piracy..... Its all i will say.

  • People, for fuck sake do a litle research before you post.

Let me make this clear, alot of programs DOES collect information about your comp, take steam for example. But the diffrence between Steam and EA is that

Steam collects information ONLY about steam to see if you modified it. EA collects information about your WHOLE computor and are legally able to use your private information for example steal your passwords

They are also allowed to sell your private stuff to third parties

  • At 3:05 to see if there is a competitor & what they are up against. I do agree this is where you are to either give up your rights or not. This is what you call Monopoly. Now I do smell a lawsuit & EA/EULA be forced to change it if allot of gamers to challenge this & talk about millions & millions of gamers being on one team as Battlefield & we will be Flawless on this round. Flag Captured!

  • how about ps3??PLZZ someone!answer me!is this gonna be on a ps3??

  • @MrHsmsy3 lol no. He said only pc and also on a ps3 u shouldn't even be that worried, cuz I don't think u have many private files other than messages. Or maybe u do, but that's non of my business. But anyway no it's not on ps3 and u should have got that from this video.

  • FUCK HACKERS

    WAY TO GO EA

    (that's not violating privacy btw)

  • Comment removed

  • Really taken out of context here. They only take the effort to scan if you are suspected of cheating, while using their software. Tons of MMO's do it, but refer to it as "screenshots of your system".

  • suck my shit EA!

  • Yeah, have you seen the hackers on pc? Thank EA for doing this, stupid hackers

  • @TheGUNNShop I was going to get it on PC but...now I'm getting it on the Xbox 360 and I agree with everything your saying

  • have full access cuz i dont want no lil bitch comming and ruining my game ..i ve been with battlefield since day one dont want no cheaters or fake ass CODer's ruining my shit....BUT at the same time i want..need and have to have my privacy sooooo very interesting situation cant wait to see what happens

  • idk yet good good show thank u for the i nfo time encrypt everything again so i might let them see my shit but all they r gonna get is a window asking for a password....lol nerudas does have a good valid point though for the record i hate cheaters they suck obviously cant play but if i were to cheat i would find a way to hide my programs for that else where probably on another drive so i could see why they would wanna see the whole thing ...for the cheating aspect i think they should ......

  • @AnasAther works just fine. remove it from the "Disk Management". or remove all permissions from windows so it cant access the drive, if its Windows your running - lots of solutions.

but i only use my pc for gaming anyways so not needed, but will work in case somebody else needs dual boot.

  • Easy Solution! Just install two hardrives with operating system installed on both of them, disable your main hard drive from BIOS before you start playing BattleField 3, so they won't be able to monitor your content, Thumbs up so everyone can see it

@86krj Dual booting? Private OS or logical drive would still be available, Disable it totally from BIOS so there is no chance of access :)

  • 2x HDD + DualBoot (Private OS and Game OS) - still getting it for PC. #EASux

  • @rullo16 thanks :P
