rakobn, You OBVIOUSLY did not listen to a word Governor Huckabee said during his campaign. He stated OVER AND OVER that caring about human life DIDNT end at the gestation period but was carried out throughout life, even to people in retirement homes, seeing that they were treated well. THIS MAN cares about ALL people. He lives what he speakes. He is the real deal. Why don't you actually listen to him before you spout off these untruths about him...
If those of you criticizing Huckabee would actually read his book you would become Huck supporters. This is an honest, authentic, brilliant, visionary politician with over a decade of experience. He deals in vertical politics, not democrat or republican but better. FAIR TAX and Mike Huckabee 2012!!
what fuckabee really means is if he and his "christian"republican party continue to spread hate, fear mongering, bigotry, intollerance and ignorance, they have a better chance of willing elections than if they act like the christians they say they are.
keep it up fuckabee, the only idiots not on to your bullshit and lies are southern bastards who, when they graduated from one of their southern colleges, are on par with the accomplishments of a 5th grader elsewhere.
YOU talk about spreading hate the way you are mispronouncing Governor Huckabee's name and speaking of bigotry, YOU are the biggest bigot I have seen against southerners, Christians (87% of the US.
lst, i speak truth, you just don't want to hear it, cause you probably like fuckabee. he's not good for this country! he'd fuck us as your pal bush did.
2nd, when i see a bigot i'm duty bound to point him out & fuckabee's a BIGOT! i don't cre that you like his policies, he's a BIGOT probably, as are you; you just don't want to face that fact!.
3rd southerners need to get out from under their ignorant bigotry.
4th i've nothing against christians; "christians" are another matter. smarten up!
USA is not 86% christian, and that wouldnt make it a christian nation anyway.
The founding fathers made it secular, and there is no doubting that. The deists put a generic use of god in the declaration of independence which has no connection to the constitution and can represent the greek gods, and one other place I forget but where it was used to say no god shall the candidate need to beleive in to be elected.
Spin your world to the right as much as you want, Huck. Your party will devolve. Go back in your little mind to the days when god fearing cavemen rode on the backs of dinosaurs, and konked their wives over the head to drag them into a cave. Go right, and keep going till you're all alone.
So going to war without evidence, racking up trillions in debt and billions in deficits, never balancing the budget, supporting near trillion dollar government bailouts, and electing a presidential candidate that wanted the government to buy back bad mortgages is "far right?"
Wage all the war you want. Torture all you want. Fuck up the economy all you want. Run rampant with corruption if you want. Just don't let women control their own pregnancies and don't let gays marry. THOSE are republican ideals.
pro-life, and traditional marriage, huh? I wonder how that is going to pay my damn mortgage. I wonder if that will get my cousin back from Iraq, I wonder if that will save my sister's job at Ford, I wonder it that will help my niece afford college. I wonder if that will help my brother pay health care costs for his kids, with one of his 2 jobs. Thanks Huck, but no thanks.
stop right fucking there drathaar, a fetus is not a baby, never was, and never will be. end that fucking lie right here and now (not that you "christian"republicans ever lie, unless it's in your interest).
and typical of you bastards, you care more about the unborn than the born living and suffering.
shove your demented ideas up your fucking "christian" ass. you're nothing but an uncaring typical ignorant "christian" bastard.
Mike has already addressed the "You care more about the baby than the grown-up" argument. If you would actually listen to him speak rather than watch 1 minutes soundbites off of youtube, you would see that.
i stopped listening to that bastard when he said he wanted to change the constitution to better align with his religion, then when questioned on a national level, he said he was misquoted, even though video of what he said showed him to be a LIAR.
after that i stopped listening to that fucking "christian" bigot. his religion will never be my government! i'll go to my death making sure of that.
fuckabee & "faith based" (what a fucking laugh they are) politicians are dangerous for this country.
that's the problem people like you have drahthaar, i saw the whole thing. then watched the liar reinterpret it cause it wouldn't play on a national level.
i'm not a stupid southern"christian" who believes your bullshit & you sir are a bullshitter, probably a "christian" bullsitter too!
go push your lies on those ignorant idiots who live in the south & want this to be a christian nation. quite frankly i'm, as you see in comments here, tired of "christian" liars the likes of you!
Conservatives are not pro-life, they are just pro-birth. After a baby is born, they could give a fuck less if it dies from poverty, disease, or in war. These evangelical Christians, are one of the most Godless people I've ever met. Would Jesus fight for tax breaks for the rich? Must be the 11th commandment. Huckabee is stupid to think that bc the GOP wasn't right wing enough, is why they lost.
Yes, funny though how when they are born, the GOP doesn't give a fuck what happens to them after that or even if they have healthcare. It's the GOP motto: "Save the fetus, screw the child."
...and that's why you numbnuts just got your can handed to you on november 4th. You do know that all of you "pro-lifers" would have more credibility if you were all protesting wars and death sentences.
If every pro-lifer would adopt 2 kids you would raise an entire pro-life generation in just 10 years. This hypocrisy is so prevalent that you guys would adopt a fucking dog before you would adopt a child.
and Drahthaar, when i'm in the voting booth, IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!
lol, i always have to laugh at you "christian"republicans. you, i'm sure enthustiastically voted for bush BOTH TIMES & supported mccain in this election, but because they're both losers, you dropped them like hot potatos.
what ever happened to alligence?
never rely on a "christian"repubican for anything except a stab in the back. now that's real christianity for you isn't it.
yeah, yeah i know you're not a christian...at least not in this argument...are you crazytv. you're also a liar!
go where herbertforthefuck? straight to hell? you don't have to root for that, he and the rest of the intollerant, bigoted, ignorant, hateful "christian"republicans are already headed that way. are you on their bandwagon yet?
Palin??? Please don't make me laugh. She's just plain stupid.
Haven't we had enough faith based politicians over the past few years? I'm tired of it. They are always talking about this or that based on what THEY think thier god wants. Lets have some politicians that care less about the religious dogma and more about getting this country out of the recession/ depression. Goverment should be for the good of all,not just for the good of the faithful.
Well I was thinking Arnold Schwarzenegger or maybe Tom Selleck. I know both are actors but but both are charismatic and I believe that is a very neded trait right now for the republicains.
unfortuantely though Schwarzenegger can't be president, well at the moment though because he was born in austria.. But yell yeah,, I like Schwarzenegger as well.
Although Still Mike Huckabee really grabs your heart, he has charisma too. I also think he gets a raw deal about his christianity- most americans believe in God, and just because huckabee was a pastor 20 or so years ago, shouldn't disqualify him from running.
the problem is his faith gets in the way of politics.
I want an atheist president that wont turn down a bill for religious reasons. Thats open to facts/science, a multitude of independent thoughts that may conflict with his ideas.
I think Obama was from a liberal enough church that he wont be guided by faith too much, but with him pandering to the right during the inauguration like this, and bashing the left at the same time, its hard to trust him.
I like Mike. I really do. But he's batshit insane. The so-called Saxby mandate was a clear loss for Republicans. Yes, Saxby won, but barely. Since incumbent senators have an automatic 80% re-election rate, and since Georgia is one of the reddest states, the fact that Saxby barely squeaked the first election should be a wake-up call that we're getting a little tired of this rightist bullshit. And frankly, Republicans have to quit giving blowjobs to the religious nuts if they want to recover.
What I hate is that when dems win the repubs say the dems should be centrist, and the dems then say they dont want conflict, but when the repubs win or lose they say they need to be more conservative.
Dems just cant win because they are too afraid to stand up for their own beliefs.
Honestly, the dems didnt win this election so much as the repubs lost it. The fact that repubs got as much vote as they did despite their terrible reputation says it all.
Obama had to fight tooth and nail and play left of center to win. Its not bad to be a proud leftist. When dems go center, all they really end up doing is giving the right more then the the left gets out of it.
that's true walter obama had to fight tooth & nail cause "christian"republicans continue to vote for their candidates no matter how useless & disgusting they are, as long as they envoke the name of god in their campaign.
shit if they used the word "christ" they'd win in a landslide regardless of the fact they're for armageddon tomorrow.
remember most of the south still thinks obama is an a-rab, a socialist, a marxist, not an american, went to a madrassa, is uppity & worse of all a muslim.
Because in the pres election Obama won by only 7% in popular vote, though yes, the electorate was a landslide
With all the ups/downs in polls obama had to fight tooth and nail to get that much of the popular vote. Elect votes arent the best indicator of public opinion because in many states even if the pop vote is won by 1& and the elct is divided by 1 more for one candidate then the other, the pop vote splits properly but elect vote goes all to one
rakobn, You OBVIOUSLY did not listen to a word Governor Huckabee said during his campaign. He won as an incumbent in a Runoff Election. incumbents 80% of the time, keeping your seat isn't a miracle it's the norm.
what's odd is that it had to go to a second round to come up with this result, usually incumbents win on election night.
also, who is becoming a party on the Fringe of society going to get more voters. at most you get two parties, the Palins and the Sane Republicans.

To stats, at least 16% is atheist/agnostic, but that still leaves a few percentages for bhudists, muslim, jews, and other minor religions.
Even if the US is 80% christian, different christians dont always work together well.
Many faiths think the other ones are going to hell, some are pro-choice or at least pro-homosexual-marraige.
Mormons, Jehovas witness, etc...
All these different faiths have freedom over here because its a secular country.

All to support a conservative right wing agenda. It's why he's called a "big government conservative".
rakrobn 3 years ago
war has always been a conservative mantra, that is, freedom/peace through conflict.
That requires never balancing the budget and large spending because war is more expensive then all social programs combined by far.
If you look at the history of the CIA, a gov has never cared about evidence, left or right.
repubs are pro business, why wouldnt they be pro-bailout. They only are hesitant on the auto companies because of the unions.
