Notice how he's never sold the sculpture Kurt made for him or sell pictures of it to the media for cash. He's just an incredibly respectful and talented dude that I think the world of.
Do you people understand how incredible this man is? Oh you do, Good. :)
Krist is a one of most kick ass musicians there is! To be this gracious and humble says a lot to me & I appreciate the fact that he never has exploited Kurt or said anything to defame him. He's always honored Kurt's memory & is mindful when he speaks about him. I wish more of Nirvana's recordings & Kurt's music was made public rather than selected sections of his personal journals which were not intended for us to read.
Krist, You have always been one of the coolest guys, most talented and respectful guy. Thank you for the years of music and activism. So many people owe you too. Thank you!
@LilNomNom why is it a shame? Must everything and everyone conform to some standard of an image? Why is his aging process important in any way whatsoever?
@giterdun77 Look, Krist is still Krist. Everyone still thinks of him when he looked during the 90's while in Nirvana, usually with a clean shave, a full head of hair, thin, and a jokester. Now he's almost totally bald, has a full beard, gained weight, and behaves more mature. It's a big change, but it's still him.
If I ever meet Kurt's mom, Krist or Dave. I'll cry and give them a hug. Nirvana changed my life. They make me happy, and sad. R.I.P Kurt, and I'm sorry Dave and Krist.
Michael stipe said they i think he said made a 4th album and r.e.m where in it and they did some sessions together and it was all acoustic guitars and Michael said it was going to be a amazing album but why doesn't anyone ask Dave if they did record like half a 4th album or something or krist does any one know more about this.
Krist was and is very important. Maybe kurt would not start in a band if it was not for him. just saying that Nirvana and kurt would not exist without Krist.
@1algerial1 sap you said kurt would not exist without him... pretty sure he would've. just because krist started the band with kurt doesnt mean kurt would not have started a band. he was the songwriter
really - I said Nirvana and Kurt would not exist without Krist. We are in the context of Nirvana and music here. Not to be rude , but anyone entering this video would understand that. But not you - lol whatever ;)
Krist just rocks. Lol. He's one of the few people who, when he gets that rhythm, you notice it on his face. Lmao! I love it. Nirvana's going to continue to be a big influence no matter what generation. I'm a huge fan. : ) keeping the feel alive.
Ouch, oweee, makes my little guts hurt. Was 11 when Nevermind came out, wore that poor cassette out. Literally. Yeah, Nirvana changed my life. The many avenues that it opened to a lonely little Kansas girl, I can never express my gratitude. Thank you.
@shimokita2 Yes they still talk, actually Krist plays bass on a song in the new foo fighters album which is also produced by the same guy who produced the Nevermind album.
@cheshirepat30 Yes and thanks, I couldn't remember his name off the top of my head. The Foo Fighters song Krist plays bass on is "I Should Have Known."
Krist is a special person to be able to stand up there and talk about nirvana and his best friend that died at the time. Nirvana changed my life. When i was 13 my mom left me to her dad and moved out to go live with a junkie. I got out of sports and started playing guitar because kurt's music just made you really listin to some of his poetry and just understand him so clearly in a different way. Kurt Cobain revolutionized music, along with dave and everyone else who loved this band.
I love it. I just love this so much. This is coming from a true friend, who was truly a part of the experience. Not just some reporter or biographer who was 'alive" when it was happening. Thank you so much for this video.
How hard could be to speek about your;e death friend in this way when you can see his face on milion t-shirts,walls,newspapers,magazine...Krist is a man.
@GaveDrohl1 Yes, it works very well for most people. I think at this point, Kirst has lost too much hair though. I don't think Krist cares about his hair very much cause he's lost a lot of it. Or it could be possible that hair treatments don't work for him very well.
It make's me so happy that we are celebrating Kurt Cobain due to this thing opening and the 20 year anniversary of Nevermind! Good job Krist! I wish i could shake yours and dave's hand just to say thank you for the music bud! :)
@DubbahBlanks I was lost too, didnt fit into the society fand felt alone! Then i ehard Nirvana and the first time in my life i felt not alone , there were people like me out there! That was the best moment in my life!
I was 12 when Nevermind came out and it changed my life..I bought Wipers, Melvins, SOnic Youth, meat puppers, MELVINS! records..if it wasn't for them I wouldnt be the same person..Thank you Krist and nirvana for the gift of music and art.
I am a grown man of 26 years old. Watching this makes my eyes swell up and stand at the utmost awe of Krist, Dave and Kurt. I've been listening to Nirvana ever since my brother of 32, introduced me to the band at the age of 8-9 years old. Even then, my childish mind understood what Nirvana was about, the emphasis on the music, the freedom, the hard work of ALL the members of that band performed. They joked around with eachother and everybody casually and happy. I love you. Dave, Krist and Kurt.
@mekissingyou you know what? it doesn't matter if they "sell out." For one reason, Kurt SOLD OUT. But at the same time it doesn't matter. You want to know why? Because he didn't care to reach those standards. He died before he could "sell out," as Krist said he was compelled to be an artist, it was destined everyone, DESTINED.
Nirvanas music will always be timeless. I can put on any of their records and they still sound fresh today. The lyrics are powerful even though at times they make no sense. Kurt is speaking to the disenfranchised youth. The sound that Nirvana had was just brutal as hell. The band live just totally blew me away. Nirvana as a band were not fake or lazy. They gave their records and live shows everything they had.
its really weird for me because when i got into nirvana i saw lots of pictures of the band and they where all young and now when i see things like this its like they have aged suddenly and it makes me sad it isn't still the 90's :(

The Corporate culture will never disappear. There is simply too much money to be made in it. And money is everything to too many people. But the silver lining is that this means there will always be a place for people who are against the corporate establishment. There will always be a place for Nirvana and those of us who still believe in that message.
