Your news's very outdated. By March, Lula once suggested Brazil should buy our debt, as an alternative to our UE/IMF bailout program, but no one ever heard anything from Dilma. And by middle May the IMF/UE rescue package had been approved. There's no money coming from Brazil that I know of.

Winter War like mentioned in the video is definetly the biggest weakspot among the Finns. Those times every country that existed made pro-Finland announcements in public. The real help on the other hand was very small while being betrayed by every 'friend' country. Ofcourse it wasn't Western Europe's fault that Sweden / Germany didn't let them to help Finland. The Finnish army got multiple times more material as war loot from the Soviet Army than all the foreign material aid combined.

1:33 - "Arigatou" is an absolutely native japanese word, related to the verb "aru", to exist. Any vague similarity with Portuguese "obrigado" is a fatuous coincidence that some Portuguese and Brazilians like to stretch way too far.
If the rest of the video is as misguided as this etimology, I'll be for a good while ashamed of my Portuguese ancestry.
Anyway, the only way Finland (or any other country) can "help" Portugal is by reminding its electors that there's no free lunch.

Your news's very outdated. By March, Lula once suggested Brazil should buy our debt, as an alternative to our UE/IMF bailout program, but no one ever heard anything from Dilma. And by middle May the IMF/UE rescue package had been approved. There's no money coming from Brazil that I know of.

Brazil only became independent in 1822, and slavery ended there in 1889. Which means that Portuguese-controlled Brazil had slavery for decades after the year the video mentions. @marcossobralable O Brasil esta a crescer cada vez mais, e porque? Porque tem toneladas de matéria prima para dar e vender, sem falar do grandes turismo que tem. Só isso faz mais de metade da riqueza de Brazil, se um politico ou um dono de uma empresa fizer uma falcatrua e receber mais dinheiro do que deve isso não se nota porque o Brasil abunda em dinheiro [apesar de ser muito mal distribuído]. Em Portugal não há florestas nem petróleo nem praias maravilhosas e quentes (cont.)

@marcossobralable por isso Portugal não tem tantas fontes de rendimento como em Portugal, nem possui grandes empresas que possam emigrar para outros paises, ou seja, as fontes de rendimento são muito poucas, e para agravar tudo isto temos politicos e empresários aldrabões que roubam milhões, e isso faz uma grande diferença no final das contas publicas do pais. O Brasil só existe porque Portugal o "fez" e muitas vezes Portugal mandou dinheiro para o Brasil, está na hora de fazer o contrario

Também não conhece a história contemporânea uma vez que temos grandes indústrias (Embraer, Petrobrás, Gerdal, Odebrecht, Ambev, Claro Telefonia, Embratel só pra começar). O turismo representa menos que 5% de nosso Produto Interno Bruto. E as commodities tem participação menor na balança comercial que os produtos industrializados
