This is a disgrace to Free. The rushed tempo, horrible raspy metallic guitar tone, overly busy drumming and bass, crappy cliche-sounding guitar solo... I could go on and on. Paul's singing never disappoints, but the fact that he would participate in this bullshit presentation of one of Free's best songs is indeed a letdown And to the idiot that said that this shows that Free needed a rhythm guitar player... dude, you just don't get it.

I'm massively relieved that there are scores of Free fans on these Paul Rodgers videos reinforcing my thoughts that these over-performed covers, by posing session musicians, just lack all the character and edge that Free had when they played them with soul. I loved seeing Simon Kirke and I suppose even Ralphs when Bad Company toured last year, I only sincerely hope that he leaves these kids at home in their beds when he tours solo this year, and bands together the old hands.

Paul Kossoff, Andy Fraser and Paul Rogers equalled an unparalled magic.

In the day of FREE....Paul Kossoff was a genius guitar player and the backbone

of the sound and the band...it wasn't Paul Rogers.

@JIP1428 I disagree, I think the rhythmn section, especially Andy fraser, was the backbone of the band. Especially since he composed the majority of the music. Paul Kossoff had a beautiful, almost unparalelled lead tone, but was more the pretty veneer over the slick driving blues coming from behind him. (Obviously I'm not saying Koss didn't write his own guitar parts, of course he did, but usually the song is credited to the musician who came up with the lead melodies which was typically Fraser)

completely disagree with those who did not like the guitars on this video howard leese (the old guy) is a fantastic guitar player who took Heart to rock and roll prominence and the kid (17 yrs old in this video) is kurtis dengler he has to be one of the best players at his age that i have ever heard and at 51 yrs old i have heard almost all of the greats from clapton to robin trower this kid tears it up all the way through the whole dvd

This is a great live version of this song. What people forget was that no matter how good Koss and Andy were, most of the songs sound better live with a rhythm guitar.

The bass player is good and virtually no-one can get Andy's slightly off-beat groove spot on.

Very interesting to listen to this and the old live versions with Free back-to-back. It's much more exuberant and fun here, whereas in the old days this had quite a sinister feel!

I was at this show and it was nothing short of awesome, this was a fantastic start to a brilliant show. Paul Rodgers is my hero, I just "Can't Get Enough" (pardon the pun) of him. I just hope he comes back to Scotland very soon!

The old guy on guitar is shocking, usually if a guitarist has a bad tone he can make up for it with something else, this guy has no speed, which isn't important but he does'nt even play slow properly either. This is a mystery, let the young guy do a bit more, hes not that good either but hes better than the main one.Rodgers speak to ozzy osbourne, he always knows what type of guitarist he needs!!
