What 's10X worse than the patriot act? When your kids are held hostage and used against you as they labeled it FAMILY LAW as if there is such a real thing HELPS DESTROY more families than any other act as you let them in.
All of the anti-terrorist efforts put into place by the Clinton Administration were abandoned by Bush on election day. Remember the PDB entitled "Al-Quaeda Plans To Strike In U.S.", and the response to it? Quite probably the only piece of accurate intelligence our intel community has submitted in a decade, and our leader dropped the ball. Are those the kind of successful results you're referring to?
"The citizen who would trade liberty for security deserves neither."?
Clinton's failure to grasp the opportunity to unravel increasingly organized extremists, coupled with Berger's assessments of their potential to directly threaten the U.S., represents one of the most serious foreign policy failures in American history.
Clinton and Berger's counter-terrorism policies fueled the rise of Bin Laden from an ordinary man to a monster.
Bill Clinton ignored Sudan's offer to turn over Bin Laden & Ayman al-Zawahiri who were the chief architects of the US embassy bombings in Africa and 9/11 and some of their network including the two terrorists that piloted the planes into the World Trade Center.

Sorry, WhinerWrongo, but that belongs to Reagan & friends; his CIA & peripheral covert agencies armed (and essentially created) created Bin-Laden. More blowback from policies originated by people who won't have to pay the ultimate price.
As for the failure to grasp an opportunity, well that seems to be America's fate, especially now. The idea that you can blame all of our current problems on the previous administration is one right from the Karl Rove playbook. Why be accountable when you can lie about it and convince the under-educated in America it wasn't your fault? Yeah, Clinton made mistakes, they all do; you seem to have a problem distinguishing between errors in judgment and outright blatant criminality.
But lets get back to that Presidential Daily Briefing; why is Clinton's error so egregious to you, but not the intentional ignoring of a potential threat posed to our country by terrorists? In ignoring the threat outright, it was Bush & Co. signing the death warrants of the 9/11 victims, not Clinton. If incompetence is the issue, then G.W. Bush wins the Grand Prize.
The Clinton administration had no plan in place in regards to al quida and the taliban when Bush took office in late January. The information that Bush received his first months in office were was not specific and incomplete. And to suggest that Bush did anything other than act aggressively, quickly and effectively to address the al qaeda and Taliban threat in Afghanistan is absurd.
Non-specific & incomplete info, huh? So you ignore it instead of investigating further?
Rationale like that explains why we have this genius in office to begin with. And nobody suggested anything of the sort about Bush & Afghanistan. I DID SAY that he ignored intel on a threat that ultimately killed nearly 3,000 people.
You are right that Reagan used bin laden and his cronies in his efforts to end the cold war, but Clinton was the one that let him attack the US and US interests unchecked. Clinton admitted himself that he screwed up and should have gotten bin laden when he had the chance.
So are you still waiting for the same admission from Bush? He told the American people that Bin-Laden would be brought to justice for 9/11; we found Hussein, who didn't attack us, but Bin-Laden remains at large. Why? Bin-Laden has no land upon which to put a Forward Operation Base. We still have the chance to get Bin-Laden, and have done zilch.
This new "understanding" with Al-Maliki paves the way for us to take up permanent residence in Iraq; bases are already under construction. The Pentagon doesn't like the word permanent, though. They prefer "enduring" instead. This war isn't about terrorism, and never was. It's about establishing American military bases all along the so-called "Arc of Instability."
The interesting thing is, the guys on roof duty were nowhere to be seen during the entire shoot. But after I put my guitar away, just for the hell of it I decided to play the song one more time, at a considerably higher volume (I had brought a boom-box with a CD copy of the song so I could play it in sync for the video), and voila! Instant snipers!
It's a tough job, protecting America from us musical malcontents. We're a vicious bunch, you know.

Let me ask you this...Were you happy with Bill Clinton's results when he did nothing after they blew up the World Trade Center the first time?
