If by stop flashing you mean the DS were to turn off, as long as the first few % are flashed, you can still recover.

I thought i corrupted my DS when the health and safety message did not apper, but it was simply just wanting me to install the DS firmware (I wonder how i can update my NDSL firmware?)

Yes it is possible, if you bought a fake R4 card it can short out one of the DS's fuses and render it inoperable.

but i did bricked my ds lite because i put flatwire but i keep push in wrong way cause to bricked my ds lite its black and white case i did switch from old blue and black shell to white and black in July 15, 2009

Ok im confused, you bricked your DSLite by pushing a wire in the wrong way? So basically you shorted out the DSL and now its completely fried?

@omgsean1 I feel bad about replying to all these. I don't want to be a hog on the channel or something. But if you install a new BIOS chip on your motherboard, you can fix your DS to run like new.

Your DS may be one of the ones that had measures put into the firmware that prevented Flashme from being installed.

my nds stopped on 70% when i pressed select+start it doesn't staret infact a white screen comes

Failsafe code should have been written then, i hope you used v8a because thats what i used and it worked for me, remember not all Nintendo DS Lites were compatible, Nintendo shipped quite a few nasty ones where it would go so far and then stop because the NDS caught onto what was happening, if you had such DS, im afraid your screwed unless you do the old method. (Manual flash with solder/wires - THIS REQUIRES OPENING THE NDSL)

@mkdsuser He could install a fresh BIOS chip in the DS and that would fix it ftor sure. It requires no soldering or wires. Unless you short out your DS or something...

help me my ds had black screens and no sound but the green light turns on. it charges turns off on. the green light stays on. i have a r4 but i dont kno how to use it or fix my ds. can u help? or make a video of it?

Im going to need more information than that, does the ds turn ITSELF off when you turn it on? Does the R4 load at all? If you press start+select do the screens turn greyish white?

no it dosent turn off. the screen stay turned off and the green light appears as normal. dosent blink or turn off, the light stays on intill i turn it off. i put a flash me in my microsd . i didnt kno where to put it so i made copies everywhere the screen lit up with a logo for 2 seconds and froze then it didnt happen again. it went back to normal as above.

Its possible you had one of the DS's that wasnt compatible with Flashme, if your DS wasnt compatible the fuse inside would blow. If im wrong someone please correct me

no im sure its not the fuse its the matter of fising firmware im sure of it. the green light stays on and thats it that all that comes on. any solutions?

Your not listening, some DS's were not compatible with flashme, when the program was attempted to be ran it destroyed the DS firmware and blew a fuse, this could be what your experiencing. Light stays on but nothing appears.

No the battery wasnt empty, i deliberatly bricked my DSL to show you howto unbrick it if need be. I reccomend when unbricking your DSL that you have the CHARGER PLUGGED INTO IT, IF THE BATTERY FALLS OUT WHILE THE REINSTALL IS IN PROGRESS YOU COULD RENDER YOUR DS COMPLETELY USELESS. (Unless the failsafe code was written (over 15%)

That is like way too much foil on whatever the hell you are using.

I used a toothpick with small amount of foil and tapped the rest so only the tip shows. Never bricked a DS since with that tool.

No, you can use any card, but if your using an R4, you need to ecrypt the flashme.nds (Check GBATemp for details)

basically.. if the flash procedure stop atleast @ 5% ,... then you can recover your bricked DS firmware by doing those on the video... BUT

if the upgrade was canceled under 5%.. you need to physically reflash the NAND chip directly.. (need some soldering skills to do it) and connect it to LPT port on your PC... i guess visit gbatemp for more info about what i said

Dnniwa485 is 100% correct, flash under 5% and the NAND Is trashed and you will have to manually reflash it, and you will need to visit GBATEMP for instructions, or wait very patiently until i get a second-hand ds from ebay and deliberatly trash the nand and try the soldering method myself.

because i did put new white shell for my ds lite before i install flat wire to ds lite motherboard but i did mess little after put everything in then i turn on my ds lite that i notice brick on my old ds lite with my new shell and old black shell

CAUTION! I DONT HAVE A DS XPRESS CARD ANYMORE DUE TO ME FINDING OUT IT USED SRAM (Batteries for its save files) so i know own a r4 and dont have to borrow ma mates :D

Yo I bricked my DS during flashme. My hand got shaky and sliped and hit the screw to the right D: but the way I fixed it was, I took my brothers DS lite and took my R4 and made the Flashme software a .gba file and then wrote the flashme software on my EZ Flash 3in 1 slot 2 card and I was able to boot slot 2 and I was able to flash my DS the rest of the way.

Ok, this does fully work on a phat ds, if you have that stupid failsafe problem it is due to a setting in ds firmware being corrupt, if you bricked and managed to get failsafe working it will work still, if you are testing failsafe to ensure its working after a flashme being installed, and the screens stay white, just remove your ds/dslite battery for 15 secs and then try again.

yeah it works on ds phats. flashme is a modified ds firmware allowing you to load slot 2 devices without a passme. flashme writes to the bottom of the ds firmware whick can only be done buy shorting SL1
