  • Guess it struck a dry well

  • what is the part on top is it a well head or a christmas tree

  • What I don't get is when you drill to an oil zone, and you pull the bit out to put your casing, wouldn't oil just gush out towards the hole? How do they prevent that?

  • Oil industry says it could deliver 1.4 million new jobs if allowed to drill off the Coasts

  • Why can't we put hundreds of thease in the Usa? That will solve gas prices.

  • @palethewhite There isnt oil in every place you drill a hole.

  • @hofer1 I know. But some fat Rich regulation worker wont give out drilling permits to oil companies that want to expand production.

  • Yeh. A lot of people are learning faster through visual learning now

  • this is nice animation. but unfortunately there's a lack scene for the completion..

the video just only explains how we drill a well to the target,, but without any animation the well suddenly completed with perforaed formation..

i hope i could find any other video that describe the whole process from the drilling process the completion and the production.. anyway this is great video

    regards

petroleum engineer from trisakti university INDONESIA

  • Thanks. I have been reading about this in a book without any illustrations. I am a visual learner and this was very helpful for understanding what I have read.

  • 3/3 John R. Christy has been accused of recanting his position that climate change is neither Anthropogenic nor Catastrophic, but he didn’t. He used two independent data sets, weather balloon and satellite for his findings. (see links in my about me) Later he only stated that there was some anthropogenic impact that could not be predicted 100 years out, but that what we’re doing was good for the plants. watch?v=-WWpH0lmcxA

  • 2/3

Foreign countries price gouge w/ gas prices to $10/gal!.

. watch?v=bgKr480RYc4 Obama's Former Green Jobs Czar and Communist, Van Jones

Admits Left is 'PRETENDING' Need for Regulations in Green Movement

  • 1/3 Obama stop offshore drilling until it was reinstated. Only one permit has been issued since it was reinstated. This could cause a $5 a gallon increase, because we would grow dependent upon foreign nations we are not allies with in order to provide our oil. Cap and Trade (American Power Act) would increase gas prices increase by $2.58 a gallon according to George C. Marshall Institute& taxes on the average household up to $3200 according to the RNC

  • I'm a Petroleum Engineering student from Asia. I'm sorry but can anyone explain this video to me? I find it hard to understand (I'm new to this subject) Especially:

What is pumped into the casing after drilling in each section. (is it kill mud?)

  • @hwangket kill mud is the mud used to kill a well in well control process, not mentioned in this one because we don't have kicks (cause blow out) in this video. The thing pumped after each casing is cement, to stabilize the casing so that we can keep drilling

  • thank you so much :)

  • Sound? Where's the sound?

  • @prayecollins Sorry, there is no sound on this animation. It was originally produced for Petroleum Engineering class, with the professor providing live narration to the students.

  • @CockrellSchool Please can any one provide me link on which i can download this animated series on which i should play it with my own control?????

  • Respond to this video... the video is nice, but can you help me out for the animated videos which are played upon our clicks, please

  • boo! keep serching way better one this one is weak.

  • @philacy Thank you for your comment, Philacy. What would make this animation better in your opinion? We're always trying to improve our work.

  • great

  • MORE OIL DRILLING ANIMATIONS ! ! !

  • great!

  • great video, thanks

  • what software did you use?

  • @dido0o0 Either Maya or Studio Max 3D. Thanks!

  • @CockrellSchool thank You so Much i find it really amazing keep the good work

  • should be mud in hole while drilling

  • @rlake76 yes it must be in order to avoid formation fluids (kick) to enter the wellbore and possibly cause a blowout, the mud keeps the hole safe in a nutshell

  • would you please tell me which program can do similar animations?

  • @thaee3 Either Maya or Studio Max 3D. Thanks!
