  • Could you share the album artwork please? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks

  • Gary Numan brought me here.

  • Brohoof!

  • thumbs up if yer here from cs188

  • @matjellison Yes.

  • Ironically, ponies brought me here too.

  • Ponies brought me here

  • @BarterIrving Funny. Ponies got me interested in this song, but once I realized it was Numan, I know it would be good sans ponies. Numan has done some great things. But I guess if you want to get technical, I wouldn't have found this song was it not for ponies. And it's a genius song.

  • @MattWittherson I wouldn't have re-found it without them.

  • gta 4

  • Easily the best song from this album.

  • God this album is brilliant! Love Berserker as well as all other Numan albums! Being only 20 and this album being around 25 years old.. kinda wierd for me to actually like this music but I was born in the wrong decade! Parents and sister think im odd. But really, this beats anything today. Always play it loud! Awesome album!

  • @jdcresswell Ha, I'm only 20 and I love it as well! I think it's the bassline that does it for me. Full of conviction.

  • He sounds so British it's actually quite funny. =P

  • Thanks cs188!!!

  • I agree with bosconian87

  • His best song of all time? AFE is still his best of all time, it's his anthem for chist's sake, and there are so many others all vying for that acclaim. All his albums have their unique style during his different pop phases. If you like the early futuristic stuff, then Telekon rules, Dance is an acquired taste of sombre Jazz songs while I. Assassin is a brilliant example of funk. But for pure creative genius, "HUMAN" is an amazing collection of atmospheric music scores - Numan at his very best!

  • i wished that i had these sort of sounds on my keyboard and i want to do this song with my keyboard but i don't know which keys to press and i need that drumming sound aswell

  • Kraftwerk invented synth-pop, Numan popularized it. He wasen't the only one doing it but he made it more worldwide.

  • @electric7508 two words- silver apples

  • Not a bad track but the drum beat is so laxy it is incredible.

  • Great album, but not as good as Berserker.

  • @thismachinebreakdown both were really good imo, but yeah Berzerker was better. i wish he played some music off of his stuff from Dance-The Fury nowdays as well as classic and new stuff, i can see forgetting about a number of 80's and early 90's material, but the stuff from the early and middle parts like this and I Assassin were pretty good imo.

  • This is a good album. Most people juge it by the album cover, but a real fan of music would'nt give a shit about the cover.

  • Possibly his best song of all time, but I don't know, My Breathing is right up there too

  • One of my all time favriote cds

  • I have this album, bought it around 97, great extended versions

  • This as more lyrics than the original, I just noticed tat.

  • Blade Runner was awesome movie, as far as Iron maiden using the Blade Runner shit on Somewhere in Time, it was more fitting than this song, but Numan did a great job with it. Personally I take this over somewhere in Time. Maiden's albums after Powerslave were starting to get too progressive, like every song having to be over 7 minutes.

  • If only this song was on every live album..

  • The Fury is my favriote album by Numan. hands down this is his greatest song ever.

  • My all time favriote Numan song, besides The Joy Circuit

  • One of the best overlooked Numan tracks!!!

  • One of my favriote Numan songs. This song is a real stand out to anything else he released.

  • The best opening to a show. saw Numan back on the Exhibiton tour and this of course was the opening tune. Loved it, and still listen to it to this day.

I prefer this extended mix over the regular version.

  • Love this song, one of his best songs still to this day.

  • Blade Runner is a great movie, I'm just putting that out there.

  • Have people forgotton that Replicas was based on Bladerunner.... Replicants ect.. He got his inispiration for the album with that film.. I LOVE THE FURY... hated the image but love the album. BUT THEN AGAIN... I LOVE HIM SO IM BIAS.!

  • I'm a slogan, an old story,

    A disease, never again

I don't like this, new anger,

These young boys, just make me laugh

    This picture, I'm so nervous,

The DJ, says 'who are you?'

    Look at me, I'm shaking,

    I don't know if I can move

  • I don't need

    This attention again

    I've lost time

    I could lose everything

    You will learn

That you've nowhere to go so go

  • He changes his style alot in his music. as much as people say this record sucks, I thought it was really good, not as good as Pleasure Principle but it's still enjoyable

  • People cry too much about this record, and it's a masterpiece. One of the best synth pop albums ever. "oh Gary never was Synth pop wah wah wah" he is the one who started Synth pop! The PLeasure Principle was synth pop!

  • @Nothingseverperfect I tend to agree with you, it was a good album and a bit ahead of its time in 1985. I remember how artists like Arcadia and Thomas Dolby were experimenting with sounds that appeared on The Fury. Miricles is a depressing track but this album is overlooked a bit. Then again time has changed that.

  • One of the most important albums in Synth pop. 5/5

  • I've been listening to this all day, the more I hear it the more I like it.

  • This was a good era, most people hated this era of Numan records but it was one of the best. You had many good tracks back then, Miracles, My Breathing, Berserker, This Is Love.

  • He's sampling some movie in this, don't know what it is yet but the footsteps at the intro are from something.

  • It's Blade Runner that's being sampled... You'll notice this whole song is based on Blade Runner.

  • Thanks for letting me know, I'll be renting that movie soon.

  • They could'nt have made a better album back then, this sound was awesome. Wish his new music would sound like this, much better than Pure and Jagged.

  • This version was on a remaster too.

  • I love those samples, it's very unique!
