People have been trying to do the same thing to wolves for hundreds of years but you still get a wild animal in the end. Instead people are saying that over hundreds of thousands of years, wolves would scavenge around human camps. Friendly ones would be left alone. Aggressive ones would get killed. Overtime the friendly ones would breed with the other friendly ones until we got the dog.
