Don't totally disagree here but using Alex Jones can sometimes come off as being kooky. Also, any 14 year old or any minor that thinks he has any constitutional rights is sadly mistaken. Even the youtube TOS doesn't allow minors to use it and post unless parental consent is given. So.....protesting and combating the school system as a minor is unfortunately, unlikely to get any meaningful results.

Hey man, been doing a little research, and though some people are pushing for educating school children on their legal rights and how the mechanisms of the legal system function, there's no real system of curriculum to present it, or at least none I could find. Come to think of that, I remember a history teacher that bought us new books, by Howard Zinn, with his own money that we were asked to use. He lost his job the next semester.

Socialism isnt necessarily bad itself. Its just one of many theories on how a civilzation should work. It isn't for the US though. Its not how we were created, its not how we got to where we are in < 250 years & it doesn't fit well with our views. You are right. The US should not adopt to socialism, atleast that is my opinion. But look at european countries like Sweden(where I live), which is probebly the most democratic country atm, with the least corruption in the world. Here socialism has been around for a long time, and it works great.
Agreed. It can work. I think there is also a factor of size involved. Smaller (geographically & population) countries seem to make it work better than larger countries (USSR, China). I'm not sure what that dynamic is, but its something I've noticed.
fyi...I've also heard an explanation for European social that made sense to me. Governments there originated with monarchy's. The peoples wellbeing has always come from the benevolence of the ruling class. It's not 2nd nature like that in US.
I agree. As you say, in Sweden for example we still have a monarchy, although its mostly vanity I guess. The king has no real power so to speak. And one of our fundamental laws in our "constitution" mention the regulation of our monarchy. But I actually can't see why socialism would be harder to implement in a non-monarchic country. In the end not much "scares the pants off" of me, Nathan. To be honest, certainly not the federal reserve system. I didn't say that "business is corrupt". I am employed by one of the largest. Our commitment is to our customers and our employees. We also don't have "the" money, lots of other groups have money, even our competitors.
Reality is not composed of what "could" have happened, but what does happen. Evidence is required - you constantly speak in "could", but provide no evidence that it "did".

Ron Paul - some of his stances are great (2nd amendment, abortion, and states rights re: drugs, and most tax issues), however some are completely unrealistic (US removal from NATO/UN). All and all, he's not a bad candidate. He doesn't get very far because too few people are interested. What's your point?

That really comes down to what 'Truth' is to you. If it is being willing to allow others to persuade you into repeating things you yourself never vetted, that are routinely found to be distorted or outright lies, then you cannot claim to have the 'truth' of anything other than not having done enough of your own research. If Jones says "There is an EO authorizing torture", you can find it and read it, and know, or you can just NOT do that and repeat it.
The latter is not the road to Truth.

Hey man, been doing a little research, and though some people are pushing for educating school children on their legal rights and how the mechanisms of the legal system function, there's no real system of curriculum to present it, or at least none I could find. If you know of any people or resources we could use to form a method of teaching law at a gradeschool-thru-highschool level, I'd like to try making instructional videos or pass on the information to capable hands.

I read all the school rules and bent them like a piece of candy. All you have to do is be smart and actually read the rules their giving to you as a student to follow. Regardless of what one may believe (the 9/11 truth movement for example), schools in the United States are, by design, socialization agents that transmit a minimum amount of truth with regard to what really transpires and has transpired in the U.S. Read a high-school level American history book and enjoy a good laugh. Come to think of that, I remember a history teacher that bought us new books, by Howard Zinn, with his own money that we were asked to use. He lost his job the next semester.

Socialism isnt necessarily bad itself. Its just one of many theories on how a civilzation should work. It isn't for the US though. Its not how we were created, its not how we got to where we are in < 250 years & it doesn't fit well with our views. It always amazes me to hear how bad the US government is and then, in the same paragraph, someone proposing we adopt a system that gives MORE power to that same government.

You are right. The US should not adopt to socialism, atleast that is my opinion. But look at european countries like Sweden(where I live), which is probebly the most democratic country atm, with the least corruption in the world. Here socialism has been around for a long time, and it works great.

Agreed. It can work. I think there is also a factor of size involved. Smaller (geographically & population) countries seem to make it work better than larger countries (USSR, China). I'm not sure what that dynamic is, but its something I've noticed.
fyi...I've also heard an explanation for European social that made sense to me. Governments there originated with monarchy's. The peoples wellbeing has always come from the benevolence of the ruling class. It's not 2nd nature like that in US.

I agree. As you say, in Sweden for example we still have a monarchy, although its mostly vanity I guess. The king has no real power so to speak. And one of our fundamental laws in our "constitution" mention the regulation of our monarchy. But I actually can't see why socialism would be harder to implement in a non-monarchic country. Would actually be interesting to research :)

This is typical of the way Google stops truth vids from going viral. They freeze the view counter and only let it update a couple of times a day. And even then, the counter doesn't display the true number of views. But what makes it so sickening is the blatancy of it, and the fact that Google won't respond to our complaints about it. One reason, at least to me, is the fact that general socialism would be spreading wealth. People earn their money honestly (for the most part) and they don't need it to be given to people who don't want to do anything to help their own existence and to people making a decent living getting a paycheck under the books/table (not taxed).

Well, you need to able to trust the government to have a democratic society. I trust the representatives in the Swedish government in the sense that I expect them to act in favor of the ideology I vote for.
Taxes is not stealing if the people is for taxes. I'm for taxes because I think we need it to stabilize welfare etc.
It's not about giving everyone advantages(that's stupid), it's about reducing the difference between the poor and the rich(in simple words).

Trust the government like the Weimar republic did at the rise of hitler? or how italy trusted mussolini? What if your ideology does not win democratically? The more power you bestow on government, the more you need the person elected to be in accordance to your personal ideals.
You are for taxes because you probably do not have a job.

Why not? Hitler was democratically elected and loved by his people. He never broke a law himself, he rallied his followers to.
Oh yeah, self-centered. Because somebody who works 12+ hours a day and wants to keep the fruits of their labor must be an egoistic asshole. But some schmuck who has never earned a krone in their life is an altruist by wishing for taxes.
Besides, I was not referring to earning more, I was referring to keeping what you earn. Big difference.

Yes, he was democratically elected, but in a very different time! 15 years after the peace of Versailles and in a time when Germany was almost out of money. Ofcourse he could rally his people, since he(seemingly) was supporting a rebuilding of the nation. But you are forgetting that all other countries(like the Soviet Union, the UK, the US, Italy etc) were ALOT different today, and Hitler had different oppertuneties than someone would have today. International agreements almost didnt exist etc.

Yeah, you are right, Hitler had different as in fewer opportunities. Today's powers have nuclear weapons, genetically engineered bioweapons, nuclear submarines and stealth bombers.

Thats irrelevant. The institutions were created as a PART of the agreemeents. The institutions function as regulators, and also to embrace the fundamental ideas that the nations affected has agreed upon thus making the international organizations legitimate and functional, not just a piece of paper.
And you honestly think that military power is the only relevant issue here? And have you ever heard about balance-of-power?
I do think the government often knows how to spend our money better

I wouldn't be as self-satisfied to say that times are different. The treaty of Verseilles left the people destitute and starving. The globe was in a worldwide depression at the time.
wait until this depression gets worse and the people become desparate. Choice: a cop forced to choose between "fascist action" or food for their family.
Hell even in America, we were about to become fascist totalitarianites, Major General Smedley Butler single-handedly saved our republic in 1933; look it up!
