  • i loved the last one especially snape's memoreis i thought that was cute :')

but my fav film was: prisoner of azkaban

but i have never read the books cos my sister sold them all before i got in to harry potter :(

  • I don't like how different the movie is from the book after the whole invasion of Hogwarts starts.

  • Fav movie: Prisoner of Azkaban

Fav book: The Order of the Phoenix

  • i was fucking glad that damn Bellatrix got her...damn i hated her

  • i don't recall any luna/neville shipping in the films.

  • i don't agree with u on most things..

  • Awesome review! I agree completely. While there were a few things that could've been improved, I feel like the entire movie was a success.

  • @theyosh96 harry is british wizard not american...lol

  • Dude you should totally do a Naruto/ Harry Potter comparison video. Personally I think JKR is better at world building than storytelling. I think Naruto has better story. Also I cant stop imagining Harry Potter with a Naruto story line. Imagine the real villain of the series being Salazar Slytherin who is just using Voldemort.

  • 1:18 I cannot stop laughing my best friend and I had the exact same idea and image watching the movie when he struck Harry.

  • in my opinion the reason why the movies are not par to the books in terms of quality is that there are all those motives and ambitions connected with money that just complicate things. Don't get me wrong it is still an awesome movie, but I think the essence of the books cannot be replaced.

  • 0:15 winning :)

  • Yeah, I wished they could've make Snape's memories a bit longer :/

  • I love Harry Potter!!! :D

  • Favorite book-5,6,7 Favorite Movies-truth i liked them all lol Yea i got mad when they took out or cut stuff too. I thought the 19 years later thing was so cute and funny that i didn't mind how bad it was done. Rickman was awsome, snape is one of my favs so of course i was crying. Yea i couldnt take voldamort seriously after he tried to man hug malfoy, that made me laugh so hard^^. I also agree on the snape flashbacks, i wanted to see more. Uh i have 3 first edition hardback and 4 paperback.

  • Fav Book: 5/6

    Fav Movie: 3!!!!!!!!!!

  • is no body else botherd by bellatrixs death, the lack of reaction from the deatheaters, voldemort and hagrid in the forest when harry dies, and MOSTLY the lack of care from everyone when harry kills voldimort? it pissed me off how no one seemed to care

  • Why didn't you complain about how he destroyed the elder wand? In the book he used it to repair his old wand and then put it somewhere, I cant remember. In the movie he just breaks it and throws it.

  • @WARLORD13179 That part pissed me off so much!

  • i felt like my chidhood ended after and i feel so old. but loved it anyway.

  • the Ron and Hermione kiss was in the book, in the multipurpose room and not in the Chamber of Secrets, this does not even appear in the book and also the end was in the common room and that I think would have been

    INCREDIBLE

  • Favourite movie 4 and favourite books are 7 and 6...

  • I want to see the movies!

  • I saw the movie myself just recently and I loved it. My favorite books are 3 and 6 and my favorite movie is 3. Thanks for the review.

  • Great review again!

  • am I the only one who thought it ended quite suddenly? I mean 8 movies trying to kill Voldemort and when he died they couldn't say something along the lines of: "it's finally over" or "we did it".

  • great review... your videos are class

  • i was just happy to see that they didnt changed the line where molly called bellatrix a bitch :D

  • they made it 2 parts because it would be to long and it wouldnt be as good because they wouldnt be able to put everything in

  • "Twilight can shoot itself in the testicles"

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa.... Twilight has testicals?

  • My favorite books are 5 and 6

My favorite Movies are 1 and 4

  • only theater i'v been in that got multiple applause's

  • I never understand why people loved so much Harry Potter. That's my opinion :|

  • I'll always have Harry in my heart and I look forward to the day that I will sit on the edge of my child's bed and share with them the stories I read when growing up.

However, to keep them hanging I'm only reading them one book a year, so they can grow up with Harry just like I did. :) <3

  • I was disappointed with the Ron/Hermione kiss. I wanted the house elf comment and Harry to yell, " OI! We're in the middle of a war here!" And Ron to reply, "It's now or never mate."

  • alan rickman was truly awsome, he usually doesn't show much emotions in his roles(cuz that's usually how they work) but now, snape confessing his feelings and ah, everything was just oh so beautiful. Dan did a great job too, they really picked the right person to play Harry all those years back.

  • 5:16 ; same here =)

What do you have to say about Voldemort hugging Draco and the fact that Luna was with the trio at shell cottage in the morning and then back to hogwart in the afternoon?

  • @08noiram08 Or Voldemort LHFAO at Neville.

  • You know they used c.g.i. to make them look older

  • It's hard to say what my favorite book was since they were all pretty epic lol I couldn't put the book down and stop reading!

  • the 4 dislikers are twilight fans

  • I think my favourite movies are the third as well as the 7th part 2.

I'm rather okay with the adaption. It was different thasn the book, but I think they made some good changes; like how McGonagall acted. Still... the book will always be the best. Also, I don't like shipping Luna and Neville ^^'

I've grown up with the books as well, so they've always been a part of me. I think my favourite books has to be the third (again).

  • They also skipped most of Dumbledore's back story, the one his brother tells. I don't know if it's necessary in the movie or not, but it would have been nice to see. But whatever.

I liked it for what it was and I think it's a good series, flaws and all. :)

  • Man, you don't even know how much I CRIED while watching the movie. Harry Potter is practically my whole childhood. I loved all the books, movies, and most of all the GENIUS author, J.K. Rowling. She has made me wish my life was like living in the wizarding world! :D

  • @KauiLani33

I went to the movie, opening night with my best friend. We sopped into each others arms and our boyfriends were completely ignored during the whole thing. xD

I also sobbed for 3 hours after the last book. I had been reading HP since 1st grade. And I had literally WAITED for the mail lady to bring me the 7th book for HOURS. When I got it I did not ONCE put it down. I read it in about 24 hours, bringing it with me to dinner and to the bathroom. xD

  • @NekoKunoichiWitch

    *sobbed

  • Which was your favorite book, and which was your least favorite?

I liked Order of the Phoenix the most, and enjoyed Chamber of Secrets the least.

  • harry potter movies AND books were awesome

twilight books were good but the movies sucked like no f*cking other

    so in conclusion

harry potter wins (sorry twilight fans)

  • i havent read the books but i thought the movies were good XD

  • I grew up with Hermione =D. She's still my Hollywood crush LMAO. Jokes aside, Alan Rickman was a beast in this movie...well, he's always a beast.

  • I was kind of disappointed about the final Harry vs Voldemort clash.. in the book it was all suspence and epic dialogues and they are circling eachother etc. and the movie just made it a lot of sparks and explosions.

I also quite liked the Snape/Lily flashbacks..

but I laughed hard at the 19 years later part. it just was kinda ... idk.. WTH?!

  • you forget that Hermione is the best at magic...maybe she pulled a Tsunade....see what I did there tying those two stories together

  • I didn't grow up with Harry, I was in college when I started reading, but it soon became such an important part of my life... I don't know what it is, it isn't just quality. Some works of fiction just become a part of you.

  • and i cant take Voldemort srsly anymore either.. me and my brother always make fun of him and like the way he yells and stuff.. ROFL

  • yeah i grew u with it.. and now im sad that there will be nothing new anymore..o.o i dont feel like its over

  • Truthfully i never grew up with Harry Potter...

  • @Masterjuju2

really?.. why how old are you..

  • @xSasuNaruAmutox Yupp! I'm 17

  • @Masterjuju2

ohhh, well so am I :/

so how didnt u grow up with it?

  • @xSasuNaruAmutox It completely put me to sleep, n i still dont like it not my type of movie, not trying to sounds mean or lik a hater.

  • @Masterjuju2

    ohhhhhh.. lol

ok.. nahh its ok. its not everyones cup of tea.. LAWL

my dad doesnt really like Harry Potter either :p

  • @xSasuNaruAmutox yeahhh haha, the movies are just too long too :3

But i think ppl over reacted when they started crying when it was over....

  • great review

I thought the movie was pretty good, but I much prefer to read the books, which I haven't yet...but J.K. Rowling is some sort of genius, I can't wait to read them.

  • I loved the movie as well however, like you I thought Voldemort couldn't be taken seriously.

  • my favorite part was the sceen with the dragon, i really like how they did the dragon it was spectacular!

  • Honestly evertime I'd hear Voldy go NAaaaaaaaaAHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY I'd start to giggle and laugh.

  • @sweetienekochan1

ur not the only one.. XD

  • the one person who hated this was Snake when he saw you make fun of him at 1:40 lol

  • I liked it for the most part. It was REALLY good for an adaptation. I did feel upset that they left out a few things.

I can't take Voldemort all that seriously anymore either.

I did like the movie. I enjoyed being there and I really didn't complain until it was over cause I really got into it.

  • @Sawyer7mage That's some deep shit.........damn, well on another note ^_^ '

I usually only watch your naruto reviews :p but I can say that the movie's are one of the reasons why I can't watch the drama without wanting to ubchuck my toast :D.........I will never and I repeat NEVER watch this movie in 3D >:( .....I think a part of me just died inside -_____-

  • I thought this was another Naruto review cuz it sed Harry Potter (Kabuto)

  • @usemoselnitro hahahahaha Kabuto....

  • @lelandsacris yes

  • @usemoselnitro what?? kabuto is a japanese ninja and harry potter is a american magic user

  • @TheYosh96 yea but sawyer calls him harry potter on his naruto reviews bcuzz of the glasses

  • Kool man. Is it possible you can talk about games!?

  • It was good movie but im dissapointed they skipped the whole story about Dumbledore.

  • After I saw the movie, I thanked my parents for having me born in the era of Harry Potter. I love it so much, and even though I saw flaws in the movie (e.g. I'm sure that George still had his ear and the whole Ariana, Dumbledor Grindeweald thing wasn't explained) they mean a whole lot to me. Time to reread the Goblet of Fire for the 4th time now, I think!

  • I agree with your sentiments about snape and lilly's scene in the movie (which was also one of my favs). I wasn't aware that I could feel that a movie scene both undermined and over exaggerated the scene in the book. I also wish that they had showed Fred's death scene in the movie instead of glossing over it. I feel like that was an insult to Fred's character (who I understand isn't quote unquote that important to the series) but also a crucial turning point in Harry's perception of the war.

  • @Gaarasgirl13: We saw Fred dying! When Voldemort was talking to everybody in Hogwards the second time we saw a few characters and one of them was Fred in pain against a wall while an Deatheat was standing next to him, that was Fred dying.

  • hahahaha as far as the boks go i blame my dad for making me hse them with a passion, when i was eaght he had me sit down for at least a coupel hours a day, at first i was fine with it and enjoyed the first three, but an eight year old can only take so much reading before they get rediculously boared. So i got threw the entier seireis, but by the end i haited it, i like the moveis better cuz they didn`t get shoved down my throught

  • Good review, I saw the movie yesterday and I also won a pair of Harry Potter 3D glasses. :) I've read all of the Harry Potter books when they came out and I loved them but I can't say that I am a HP fan... At least not a diehard fan like I am when it comes to Naruto :)

  • ok i dont know if anybody else noticed this this but in all the HP films it seems as if Ginny has no character.....in the books shes very fiesty and quickwitted while in the films she never has any expression

  • I didn't know you were a HP fan! But I should have known... people with good taste generally are.

  • I'm a not harry potter fan and I have a SUPER DUPER LITTLE knowledge about the series, so my question is , does Snape's story (which I know a little and I'm researching about it) is as same as Itachi's?

  • @jomarisilva1 if u must know snape was in love with lily and that is only reason y he helped dumbledor. if voldy didnt kill her like snaped asked he would stayed a death eater. itachi on the other hand had an overfolwing love for the hidden leaf, sasuke was the only preson he loved more and that y he didnt kill him befor leaving the village

  • @nardragon tnx

  • My favourite book was 4. It was the first glimpse we got of life outside hogwarts and the revealing of different wizarding schools was cool. My favourite movie ties between 3 and 7 part2.

  • I really liked the movie. I love the book waaaaay more.

I hate that they didn't have the Lupin confessing that he's afraid the baby will be like him and such. I also don't like how they skipped over Kreacher's story. Those were some of my favorite parts. They skipped and changed a lot of stuff! :/

I think my favorite part was when Sirus said, "Quicker and easier than falling asleep." I don't know why but that scene just sorta stuck with me. I cried a lot. Mostly for Snape.

  • I enjoyed while I jizzed. I read the books before their movie counterparts.

  • uuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrpppppppppppp I was one of those kids who saw all the movies and it wasn't even until like, the fourth movie that i figured out there were books associated XD I've always loved the movies but I really did not like this one. Maybe its just because the series is over and I'm sad about that but they really skipped some important stuff and added some dumb crap, and really, they couldn't find any new actors for the 19 years later scene? REALLY? That scene felt lazy.

  • @iamverynicesir: More than ten years we followed Daniel, Emma and Rupert in this incredible journey and you would have wanted other actors to have played the 19 years later stuff? REALLY?

Looking for other actors instead of using special effects and make-up would have been lazy. I loved the epilogue.

  • @ForeverLost108 Ok, really? It was because we had seen them for over ten years that I felt it was lazy. And for more than half of them, they didn't even look the proper age. I love all the actors too, but I still would have preferred the epilogue was done better, and didn't feel it was done at the last minute.

  • FIRSTLY It's philosophers stone! God damn americans :P Anyway I have read all books and watched all the movies and grown up with Harry from the first movie when I was 5 to the last and it is one of my favourite stories and most likely always will be :)

  • Favourite book: 1 Favourite movies:1,2,3

  • harry potter is my childhood! the first book i fell in love with was the first hp book!

btw @Sawyer7mage , are you gonna join POTTERMORE?

  • I felt like part 2 of Deathly Hallows was a pretty satisfactory ending. I felt like they really brought the most out of my favorite scene in the books, which was the Gringots scene, so I was at least happy about that. However I went to the midnight premiere and I was flabberghasted when someone laughed at Snape as he was dying. smh >.>

  • My fave's were sorcerer's stone, chamber of secrets and the prisoner of azkaban.

I miss those days when they were the newest ones out there...

  • (2/2) You can’t really go against someone’s preference but choosing movie 1 and 2 as the best out the saga seems a bit weird considering that those two were basically child movies. They were a great introduction but it was pure kid stuff.

    For me:

    The Best: Book 7 > Book 4 > Book 2 > Book 5 > Book 3 > Book 6 > Book 1

    The Best: Movie 7 > Movie 3 > Movie 5 > Movie 6 > Movie 4 > Movie 2 > Movie 1

Deathly Hallows ended in the best way possible. Loved the journey of those heroes ;)

  • (1/2) After seeing Part 1 & 2 of Deathly Hallows I don't see how someone can say that they don't understand why they decided to make two movies out of it. They needed those two movies to fully explore certain aspects of the story but also the emotional weight of the war and the mission of the trio.

    Movie 7 had 3 acts:

    - Act 1: Preparations of the journey.

    - Act 2: The search for the Horcruxes.

    - Act 3: The Final Battle at Hogwards.

  • My Favorite Book is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. My Favorite Movie is Goblet of Fire, Chamber of Secrets, and Sorcerer's Stone.

  • 0:15-0:17 ...Lmao XD...true that! Haven't seen the movie, but plan too :} ahhhh!!

  • Book 1,2,3 were the fun years for harry and me.Book 4 has a slightly more mature story and 5 a lot which was a bit to emotional for a 8 year old kid back then. (I still liked the books though) But as i grew up and 6 and 7 got released i started to like them again especially 6 but they are all masterpieces. I read the 7 books in total 20 times which 5 times goes to the first book. I jut didn't like other books though i read a lot of em. I never read any other book in the world twice.

  • I thought u were going to sing boulevard of the broken dreams at 2:28

  • if part one was shorter ppl would have bitched about no character building as if the other 6 movies weren't enough. I agree with separating it tho! Last book had so much info and to me it shows they wanted to get it right and not Fuck it up! I liked the movie also! They could have looped "NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH" over and over again for 2 hrs and i still would have liked it!

  • Old as fuck Sawyer

  • the movie was a great adaption :) but voldemorts laugh is just.. weird xP

anyway you are even cooler now sawyer :) i had no idea you like hp

    but well.. who doesnt?

  • Haha you sound so emotional about harry potter ending. Just wait til naruto ends you will cry but don't worry i will too.

  • favourite movie: 3

    favourite book: 6

  • Have you noticed how all great heros have evil power within them for example naruto and ichigo and harry. And luffy I haven't seen one piece since it came on in America but I remember he ate a cursed fruit so he couldn't swim.

  • @allbitenobark One Piece is the only one I've come to know, but I don't recall Luffy ever having the slightest hint of evil in him.

  • my favorite one is the Dathly Hallows (book) and i don't have a favorite book.

I can honestly say though, that these books taught me how to read and appreciate life.

I started them in the fourth grade, and now rereading them, i can fully understand everything now.

  • "standard hollywood makeing bullshit" LMFAO!

  • favorite movie: 3

favorite book: 5 & 6 although i hated 6 the first time i read it because Dombuldor died. and i hate how siduis black dies at the end of the fifth but overall i like these two books the most.

  • Hey Sawyer, I also grew up w/ the HP books. I was Harry's age for half of them!

In Deathly Hallows Part 2, I didn't like how they skimmed over Voldemort's back story. I also didn't like how they spread the climax of the book over 5 minutes of useless snake chasing and filler fight. And I wish they showed Fred's death scene and had proper build-up for Bellatrix's death.

But otherwise it was pretty cool. It was interesting how they made each Horcrux's destruction so dramatic.

  • u guys liked prt 2?

i guess everyone has diffrent opinions...

but i was disappointed for some reason. the movie felt like 30 mins.

  • Favorite Movies: 3 and 7 part 2

    Favourite Books: 5 and 7

  • Both the movies and the books were bloody epic!!

  • Favorite book: Order of The Phoenix.

Favorite MOVIES: Goblet of Fire, Deathly Hallows Part 2.

  • If i ever have kids I'll be sure they read all the Harry Potter books.

  • Uh the 19 years later sequence was done with digital editing of the character's faces in post production to make them older looking

and they made snape younger in the parts where he's begging for dumbledore to save lily and when he finds her dead

  • i loved the snape backstory, AMAZING!

  • By the way...your eyes are black as hell.

  • Favorite Book: 7, Favorite Movie: 5.

  • I never got to see part 1 or 2 so I can't tell you but awesome review I love Harry Potter and Naruto. I need to start reading One Piece it seemed cool. If you could reply to me that would be awesome but if not just love your reviews :)

  • Film was great, two films was good to cover the book. Amazing effects and fight scenes with a great taste of humor in between, HP4Lyfe

  • I was awestruck by the books, they helped me realize everyday magic, cope with growing up and what that ment. I was the same age as Harry when the movies came out. and i dont mind that they split the 7th movie into 2 parts, i wish they had done that with 4, 5, and 6 too. I am sad that its all over now, its like looseing childhood friends. But just like J K Rowling, life will go on for me. And i am psycked to read these to the younger generation and my children. Thanks for the review!!

  • 2:27- 2:31 I WALK A LONELY ROAD- you get the reference?

  • My favorite book would have to be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows because a lot of secrets and unsaid things were revealed and said and in my opinion this book had the most meaning out of all 7 and it was definitely the deepest installment J.K. Rowling knew what she was doing when she wrote the seventh book and she couldn't have finished the series off better. My favorite movies would have to be 2 and 3. I felt like the 2 part Deathly Hallows didn't do justice to the book.

  • @opnarutofan117 My favorite movies were 2 and 3 as well. I like DH Pt. 2, but I was highly upset by the enormous deviation from the book. It was really horrible at sticking to the book.

  • i must correct you... twilight has no testacles

  • @SeanAmericasCanadian I must correct you...Twilight has no "Testicles".

  • I loved the movie. However, I didn't like the 19 years later scene much at all. I totally agree with you about the makeup, but I dislike how little dialogue there was. It was just a peptalk, and some of the characters that were mentioned in the epilogue weren't there. I feel like it was rushed, and this should have been one of the best scenes.

  • I just came back from deathly hallows part 2 . Kick ass , Molly Weasly fighting and finishing off Bellatrix ,second best Neville Longbottom slashing nagini.

  • I grew up with Harry its kinda sad everything is now at its end....

The series was fun and the memories i will treasure forever....

  • I haven't seen the movie, but the SnapeXLily part is one of my favorite in the whole series

  • Much agreed Twilight Can go "F" themselves

  • hi

  • My favorite movie was this last one... I haven't read the books, so this one was really interesting and a surprise to me... never thought Snape was so complex, and so COOL! :)
