Down this way, CSX and FEC crews call RR Police with their Nextel. I overheard one day a CSX conductor's Nextel chirp in the background while the engineer was talking to JG on the radio. The DS asked if they could copy an EC-1, but the engineer told him to "stand by, we're on the horn with CSX Police, there's a guy fishing from the bridge".

I'll add if your weary about getting close to RR property, fear not. Just take 42nd Street till it ends and you'll see a hill to the left next to the Belt. It's off railroad property and you can get a birds eye view of the entire junction. In the evening, it's best to be on the other side of the tracks.If you look at Google maps, park off 43rd Street and walk up Knox Ave towards the diamonds. That area is city property and you can stand far enough back. Neighborhood is pretty safe too.

That was a really cool catch at the beginning with that FEC well car. That BNSF GP35M/GP39E team was really cool to see too . Is that job out of Cicero? The Amtrak meet was pretty cool too.

@SFLRailFan yes they made a reverse movement out of BNSF's Nerska Yard on the SoTranscon and once they got passed the signal, they went North on the BRC to Cicero where they hopped on the Racetrack.
