Ironically, we seem to get nervous when a Near Earth Asteroid comes near the Earth, but could we not also be devastated by a large asteroid striking the SUN ejecting large amounts of molten Sun into space towards the Earth, bathing us with harmful radiation and blistering heat? Not unlike what it says in the bible: The sun will scorch the earth?
