Hey Lynn, my mom was going to make french toast casserole for Christmas breakfast, but she wasn't sure how to make it. then i showed her this video, and now we're making this recipe! thnx. cant wait!
You could really taste the eggs & I didn't like that also it wasn't that sweet, maybe I could have added sugar to the cream cheese or a little vanilla.
Hey Lynn, just wanted you to know we made this at my daughters slumber party. The night before they all helped. We made 4 different flavors. We used apples, stra berry, plain and of course with the cream cheese. They were too excited to eat their own creations. Ps. Im happy my exwife made me buy the double oven...LOL
@kareemtiheed - All of those are such great ideas! I will have to try to make it with the fruit. I am glad they all had such fun. I would love to have a double oven. I am sure that it comes in handy, especially around the holidays.
@TampaBayLightning05 so WRONG you fail. French toast is actually an English dish.. and is named after a Joseph French... hence french toast. He was a restauranteur in the 1720's, and he came up with the americanized version we now eat today with egg, milk, sugar and cinnamon. In the UK they call it Eggy Bread or "poor knights of Windsor" and they have a savory version that has marmite or ketchup smeared on it.
@AnneGirlCarrots We always eat ours with ketchup, minus the sugar and cinnamon. Its a lot like eating scrambled eggs and toast, but all together. My Grandfather was English and that'
this might sound weird but your hands are so pretty and i like the color of your nail polish. haha. the french toast looks delicious im going to have to try it out sometime!
@bettyskitchen - Thanks, Betty. For some reason, this video was a mess. Almost didn't post it, but decided to just go ahead anyway since we already made the recipe. It did turn out delicious.

Nice recipe, however it is better if we cut the bread and little pieces this way the bread really absorbs the eggs and milk mixd

Remember everyone...if you Open a bottle of REAL Maple syrup, you need to keep it refrigerated! ( Forgot that, and just had to throw out a jug.

@tjbollman1 - Yep, it does have to be refrigerated. I am sorry you had to throw it out, it is so expensive, but delicious.
