They were very smart and inclined the ramp so on arrival the uphill grade slowed you, and on departure the downward slope aided acceleration and take off.
i went to nepal with my school and its absolutely terrifying when you take off knowing that you could fall to your death within 2 seconds, but we made it back to kathmandu safely! i went for 17 days 8 days trekking in the himalayas and 9 days in kathmandu and chitwan national park where we rode elephants, washed elephants. it was an amazing experience i recommend anyone to go, but very expensive!
@harold562 =-= tch, and i thought id see for the first time a plane taking the whole runway length disappear in the cliff and come back up after a few seconds.

Frankly, my friends, I've encountered more take-off drama in watching a Goodyear Blimp's departure.

What is V1?
eltfell 4 months ago
@eltfell It's the critical decision speed during takeoff.
vaos 4 months ago
@vaos I know. But what speed is V1 in Lukla?
eltfell 4 months ago
@eltfell That totally depends on the aircraft, it's weight, the weather etc.
vaos 4 months ago
@eltfell V1 is the commit speed - even if an engine fails you should continue rather than stop
mooes153 4 months ago
@mooes153 As I said I know. But what is V1 in Lukla?
eltfell 4 months ago
@eltfell It depends on the aircraft - each type is different.

O.o why is it dramatic, if he was empty and just the amount of fuel needed that is normal asides, if winds are head on those help a lot
