I think this novel has a similarity to the famous gone with the wind by m.mitchell. even so, both novel are powerful and moving. I love the two characters equally.

what have i been missing? I read women of substance over a year ago and absolutely loved it. i have since read all that have continued the series and now i see another is out. i will of course get that one too. i do have paper backs and hard backs combined of the series, however i need to fine women of substance for it's completion. i refuse to share or shall i say pass on until i have the complete set.

@Mistys120 I loved Jenny Seagrove as "Emma".If it was a lesser actress I'd not have watched one of the nine hours.She just hasn't been in film much,but I'd rate her class AAA actor.The film was a pleasure to watch,J.S.'s face has so much expression!
