speaking of "pushing your material" this seem pretty pimpy...."use as a pusher" did you mean "drug pusher"? this thing is lamed out....unless it can be used while I ride my bicycle. can it double as a sausage stuffer? will it leap tall buildings? is it any good with fries?
waste of time and space....you can buy drop saws, band saw and cold saws that incorporate a clamp and roller set up without all the computer gadetry and and fancy bullshit...for half the price...and just as accurate....i bought an auto drop saw from turkey...at first i was hesitant bout accuracy but it'll cut 100 pieces of 100x100x4 ms box section @ 200mm in less than 40 mins and all the cuts were accurate and true and exactly 200mils
"Cool gadget to save your employers employing you, saving money, and although you will be without a job in the future, atleast their wallets are thicker."
well that would have eased my day last summer... lots of sawing with bandsaw. 120x8 flat stock sawed to small pieces. I got a flue couple times cause my gloves got wet(cutting oil) every day in that cold workshop.
Five hours a day doing the damn same thing that could have been done by this machine.
looks like a good idea the only thing i wonder is what keeps the piece from going to far as if it rolls ahead of where its supposed to ? and as far as the accurate cuts look at any torch table or cnc operated device and tell me why it wouldnt be accurate it is smarter than my eye ball and tape :) or any mark i put down with chalk
For positioning accuracy on a unit like this you're generally limited to the motor's encoder resolution, gear mesh backlash and any errors from the control loop. You should be able to get to within about a few thou.
...Just the thing for a 2-3 man shop...I like it...

When I was 16yr old, I ran 3 Doall saws that fed the material through hydraulically, just like this. I'm way older than that now.

For factory operation, ok.
For military use, ok.
For personal use, useless. Just make some rolers, you can push any weight you want to if you can get a good roller system built.

You also have to replace the belts after a while. They'll stretch and wear which will also cause measuring inaccuracies

we have one and its good but, look up opticut its a std component but the shit part is the belts get dirty fast.

it just relies on the stock sliding over some rollers? it might be ok for rough cuts but i wouldnt say that was going to give accurate cuts
