  • I'm trying to understand how this works...I am hoping to use it in ways it may not have been intended for. So please bear with me.

    Why is the CV plugins out going into the VCA's signal in? Is it an audio signal? What output is the oscilliscope attached to?

    Why do you need the VCA at all? Can you explain it's function for the dumb please? I expected the plugin would translate the envelope generator's signal directly into a usable envelope in Live?

  • @pushtobreak The plug-in's (left, generator) output is an audio signal, yes. The oscilloscope is connected to the output from the right (decoder) channel of the plug-in.

    You need the VCA to encode the CV onto an audio signal (i.e. the CV modulates the audio), since only an audio signal will pass through the interface into the computer.
