  • Why does Japan get all the cool stuff? I want this and Dragon Quest Monsters: Battle Road game! Why can't DQ10 be awesome like this. I am not a fan of MMORPGs.

  • @Kenshin1913 Japan get all the cool stuff for themselves because American corporations are all like "No! This is too Japanese for us. Let's make it more American!", and then we get shit like the American version of One Piece!

    American corporations idiots...

  • It's epic that at the last part if the video they showed Loto and his decendents standing together.

  • 25 years as well? Heh, Zelda and DQ share the same birthyear seemingly... Not sure, but maybe there's a potential collaboration effect out there since there's a clear connection between Nintendo and DQ outside the motherland... Obviously, it'd have to be Square-Enix of Japan's call before going in, but hell, there's Itadaki Street Wii before then... :P

  • Man I hope we get this over here... but I doubt it fuck! Nintendo... :/

  • I'm kinda new at the whole dragonquest thing and need someone who knows what their saying about dragonquest, I made a switch from zelda to this but they both are kinda the same thing you can become my friend on facebook by looking up Andy Guerrero with link from zelda on it

  • I love how the Hero's official party is a Female Soldier and Female Cleric. But yes, this is pretty awesome. The tell-tale 'falling into Alefgard' falling light sequence is really cool.

  • Thanks for the upload - I wonder if we have a shot at getting this collection stateside? I hope so!

  • why Loto (or Roto, or Erdrick) here is a boy? i played as Loto girl!

  • I just finished DQ8 and now I have to play DQ3 so I can find out the connection with Emyprea! :D

  • @plasticpals1 Oh, you'll love Dragon Quest 3. It also has a tragic, twist ending that is sad, but soooo worth it. :)

  • @Jadicegirl: Is DQ3 even connected to 8? I thought 1, 2 and 3 were the Loto Trilogy, 4-6 were the Zenithia Trilogy and others were relatively self-contained (well, other than like DQM which was tied to 5).

  • @requiemlarp While not directly connected to DQVIII, Ramia (known as Empyrea throughout 8) is from DQIII. She reveals her true name and nature in the end of 8, and mentions something about going to different worlds because the world from DQVIII is no longer in danger, giving the sense that all DQ worlds coexist via different planes or dimensions.

  • @requiemlarp You're pretty much right about all of that - the one connection that Dragon Quest 8 shares with Dragon Quest 3 is the appearance of Ramia, known as the Godbird Empyrea in DQ8. She was hatched in 3 and makes an appearance in 8. That, and I think the Dragovian Lord from 8 looks a bit like the Dragon Lord from the very first Dragon Quest, but that just might be something the developers decided to do.

  • Thank you for posting this. have been a fan of dragon quest since the first game. This was some really nice animation. Going to be importing this.
