  • did anyone else notice megadeth - a tout le monde playing in the backround? :)

  • ill buy the tv from you if you still have it? does it take rca inputs?

  • Good to see that someone is smart and refurbishes their game consoles when they break instead of completely destroying them

  • nostalgic video..i miss the old youtube

  • I dare you to play duck hunt on that tv.

  • turning contrast down on the tv helps video

  • turn the contrast down when using camera on A TELEVISION It helps a lot

  • I like Video But remember Turn contrast all the way down on TV ! Trust me not brightness but lower the contrast untill you can see better! when youre farther away its weird how it works althogh you would think it would br more contrast. \ y push in on the top edge of connector end from the bottom but dont push to far or it will bend wrong I use two jewler screwdrivers simultainously using both same time and have extra connectors to use the non broken pins from ..... Good luck

  • I sure would hate to play duck hunt on that tv.

  • Me hears Megadeth

  • Nice vid. Too bad that you don't restore the connector instead. I just hate the ones that you can replace the orginal with.. I have a little vid there i demonstrate my restored Nes machines, with their original connectors.. =D

  • Nice restore Job. If I still had my NES id bring it to you to restore it then i can play contra again. I do have that on an emulator but its not the same playing it on PC vs NES but at least the PC one has cheats built in, something the NES didnt have.

  • i totally have the same tv.lol!

  • i have all nes games on an emulator even japanese nes games

  • I've played some Wii games on the same type of television. It's kind of strange on such a small screen.

  • You need to push the games down in order for them to work

  • nope, you don't. not with a new 72 pin connector and clean games.

  • I wish I knew that. I put a new one in my NES and thoought it totally broke down so I threw it out.

  • Love the Megadeth you got going on!

  • again i just wanted to say thanks mike for restoring my nes and cleaning up my games works like new as u know and the jackie chan game is kind of hard on stage 3, great vid

  • you're welcome. I wish more people would bring their systems to me I need more business :)

  • the rock man 2 cart is an official famicom game and in america and western europe yout more than likely to find an unlicenced famicome game than a licenced game

  • ......and on the background you have Megadeth´s She-Wolf and A Tout le Monde (live in Argentina?)... Nintendo + Megadeth = total win

  • nice.the famicon game cartridges look cool

  • rock man 2 = mega man 2? 0.o

  • yes

  • thanks

  • I know where you got the famicom to nes convirter u got it out of a giromite cart!!!

  • you can get lucky sometimes and find a cart that has one in it. not all of them do, though.

  • i know giromite does (and i think stack up does have one) but awsome video

  • @gunstar9 Actually, Wario's Woods was the last NES game in the US before the 3rd Generation era died. No offense, but it's true.

  • no bad tv man

  • is your famicom games slowed down? when you use the converter? because when i use mine on rockman 3 it's slowed down :( it's so annoying. it's the same on every famicom game i have :(

  • are you in europe?

  • yeah

  • the NES's CPU is slightly slower in the PAL region than the NES NTSC and NTSC-J Famicom

  • i have the exact same tv!! but black

i use it on my nes cuz our 42 inch full hd tv wont work with the nintendo™ zapper™

  • you can play the nes it self on the hd tv cause i hook it up to my dads 40' hd tv and it worked

  • also, it worked through DVD recorder that has input HDMI from output AV.

  • you hooked your nes to your dvd player?

  • Yeah. I need to hook up to my dvd player for HDMI upscaling to 480p or 720p. It's good.

  • how did you fix it?

  • my nes works fine and i done nothinc ti it

  • COOL

  • Best thing about games from back in the day....... NO LOADING SCREENS!!!

  • Wow! How'd you get the converter? Did you buy it or pry open a copy of Gyromite? Also, cool video!

  • You Need To So I Could Play Games, Thats How The NES Is.

  • why?

  • OH my god is that a betamax!? joke only nintendo lovers. as a matter of fact, i admire that his NEs is still working. tahts a piece of history so treasure it.XD

  • do refurbished nintendos only work if you put them on a chair?

  • Megadeth on the background. Nice!

  • pretty cool. nes is the best system ever made :)

  • ahhhh, so that's how you put in Farnicorn games? I have a TMNT 2: the Arcade Game or simply TMNT in Japan and I have the converter, but it never worked....until I realised THIS! Thanks dude!

  • My NES works pretty good. I don't know how though. I think mine is refurbished with new contacts (pin connectors). I remember going to the store bringing in my NES that won't work for the refurbished NES.

  • get a bigger TV

  • that 9 inch thing is just for testing purposes... his actual TV is probably bigger than mine :P

  • That's pretty cool.

  • its called rockman in japan, and the u.s changed it to megaman and they also change the cart art which looks so stupid

  • were would you buy that converter from if there rare is it possable to make ur own converter?

  • if you want the converter for your nes buy any of these nes games gyromite, excite bike and this robot block game i forgot the name.the converter is built in them just open it u will see

  • Oh, you mean Stack-Up?

  • yea stack up u got it

  • I love it how people enjoy going back to where it all started!

  • you mean the Magnavox Odyssey?

  • yeah I guess...

  • since you refurbed it, i don't suppose you could tell me how to repair the cradle on mine, it won't click and lock the game down. I have to wedge something in to keep the game down to play it...

  • I've had that happen before, but it was due to dirt being clogged in the mechanism.

  • hey man I had a super nes long time ago, and I bought a japanese sailor moon game. I took it apart to play it but all I got was sound. How do you get it to play picture? let me know thanks.. oh and what converter would it be called to buy?

  • I've never heard of that happening. All you need to do to play Japanese SFC games on the SNES is take the SNES apart and remove the tabs that block the cartridge.

Try purchasing a SNES Game Genie and break the tabs out of it.

  • I can modify my toilet to play NES games. Not really...

  • Comment removed

  • that's very strange. There is a ribbon that connects the controller sockets to the main board - perhaps it came loose? Message me and we'll see what we can do.

  • Comment removed

  • ohhhhh damn that sucks... well are they cheaper why not just get the american versions they are all over ebay...

  • you can't get the American version of many games as they do not exist. for example there is a Castlevania game that came out in Japan where you play as Alucard as a child.

  • couldnt you just take the game chip and put it in a normal nes cartridge right side up...?i wouldnt want to do that to my nes.... besides i have megaman 2 - 5 american versions anyway so i dont need that

  • Nope, the Famicom and NES cartridges and slots have a different number of pins.

  • Ninja Garden 3 is now on the Wii VC.

  • Garden? GARDEN? NO SOUP FOR YOU!

  • The tomato's in that game are hard to kill.

  • The tomato's in that game are hard to kill.

  • Because some of us love that little grey box.

  • And because some of us prefer the real hardware.

  • and because that's illegal

  • your moms illegal. ALIEN

  • alright.

  • What I did with your mom is illegal :)

  • I should try to get a NES on ebay. I have a NES but it's the second model and also.. i have to keep blowing on the cartridges too many times and start over and over for a long time and FINALLY it works.

  • lmao the tv is smaller than the nes

  • Ah nintendo and megadeth. Allways been a great combo.

  • wow kirby gone far I remembered playing kirby64 the crystal shards on N64

  • lol thats funny how everykid with an nes back in the day thought if you blow in the game or if need be the nes its self it will magicly work. famicom??? must be new

  • Famicom was the japanese name for the NES.

  • lmao yea i admit, i thought it would work lmao. funny.

  • I think hes showing the fact that a refurbished nes plays games on the first try. You kids who didn't grow up with the NES don't realize how much of a bitch they could be if you didn't treat them absolutely perfect. You wouldn't like blowing into cartridges for 10 minutes either.

  • Finally, someone who understands.

  • trust me, im 13 years old and getting the nes is a quest to me. i have a genesis so far.

  • My mom threw genesis away =\ I still have all my games tho =D Sonic and such

  • what? why did she throw it away?

  • Well more or less i wasn't really made or sad, i had every game EVERY GAME on a gamecube disc (Sonic mega collection) and some on Ps2 (Toad something...) and a few others. Plus more or less it was her's since she like's classic game's like Mario. Plus now and then the Genesis would freeze or erase the game. Im buying a brand new one for $20 by my local game store. I thought they'd be around 200$+ by now lol. Anyways I still have every game from the genesis.

  • dude, you suck. stop commenting ,thenintendogamer.

  • Is that "She-Wolf" by Megadeth playing in the background? GREAT ALBUM!!!

  • I prefer Rockman 1 over Rockman 2.

  • nice tv :D

  • thats true.

  • 3 Years ago, i cleaned all connectors of NES and carts with Isopropyl-alcohol, and it worked like on the first day.

  • megadeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How Rare Is Ninja Gaiden 3?

  • man i remember when i had my NES, too bad it broke and i didn't know how to repair it, i miss my old NES, now i have a famiclone but it's not the same, i need an adapter to play NES games on a famicom

  • Try ebay there are tons of NES there

  • Cool

  • hi iam restoring a 1985 nes and iam nearly done i was wondering how do u cure the flashing red light problem please help because this is the last thing i need to do to my nes

  • read down. 72 pin connector.

  • The pin converter was part of some of the oldest games for the system (Gyromite, Excitebike, Kung Fu), as some of the early editions of these carts (and others) used Famicom boards due to needing to meet production demands for the new NES system. There are sites online that document this, just give it a search.

  • I've still had a hard time coming across them. I've taken apart so many old NES games only to be let down.

  • I knew that they came from early games, but I couldn't remember which ones they came from. Thanks

  • where did you get the pin converter at?

  • How did you get the famicom converter to work, I got one and it doesn't work, and there is a long rectangular thing sticking out. What is it? What can I do to get it to work?

  • make sure the famicom converter is face up and the actual famicom game is face down.

  • I have 72 pin in my nes and you dont have push down the games. that stops the pressure on the game and the pin making them both last longer!

  • I managed to find my borthers NES in the closet a couple days ago and it worked after some 20 years still in great shape (i thought he gotten rid of it or something after he went to the Playstation)

    .

  • did that pin converter come from "Stack Up" or "Gyromite"?

  • That's a possibility... they're really hard to find because not all copies have them.

  • She Wolf ftw

  • How Did You Get A Pin Converter?

  • \m/ NES and Megadeth.

  • did you clean them with rubbing alchol

  • I actually disassembled the carts to clean them. rubbing alcohol alone is just not enough.

  • make a dvd nes player search teamxiyo on metacafe

  • Awesome long live retrogaming. Can't wait for more videos!

  • can i have it plz ill do anything and i mean anything

just jokeing i rather have a sega geniseis you dont happen to have any

  • I have 2 Genesis systems. One used, one new in the box with Sonic 2, and a Sega Nomad. All refurbished. Interested?

  • omg that is so awesome how you made that rockman 2 game work with the converter with one try.

  • it's not terribly hard. refurbished systems work very well.

  • I wonder how you set the NES up to that small TV?

  • oh im sorry the last comment was posted in response to coolwet's comment...rock on nintendo! i restore NES systems and games. u did a great job dude!

  • The NES was a great invention. I don't care what anyone says. but i love it! >:(

  • Ugh I replaced the connector in my NES and cleaned all of my games and I still get the flashing screen. And I did everything right. I guess the design of the nes just plain sucks.

  • it doesnt suck you ass its like 25 years old

  • nice, i still got an NES, still works too! the other two sorta dont, but ill get them refurbished someday =P

  • also dude i still have an nes and most of my 30 games work fine

  • u my friend r retarded...u probably just take crap at school all day and act hardcore with the keyboard...ur just a angry NERD! ha ha. yea and im a skater...i still like nintendo.

  • go spoke ya nans ashes fag boy, u don't know shit what ur on about, why are you even ON this video cock breath you're just a fuckin ass hole go to fuckin hell

  • What the hell are you saying you dumb shit? Make some sense at least. "Spoke my nans ashes" WTF? You're for damn sure the last moron I'm arguing with about this video. For your information tampon this is an open forum where people can voice their opinions there isn't a rule that says I have to agree with any of you. I may just end up in hell but you know what Nick I'll throw your bitch in first.

  • fuck you penis i didn't say ppl have to agree with me, 4 fuck sake and it's smoke, it was a type error u twat, and wen ppl hurl abuse for no reason i will give them abuse back, simple as that, you got a problem you can go fuck a sheep i don't give a shit no more.

  • Aah, the youth of today...

  • f you f you f you man the nes rocked yo ass.

  • Sure friend you're right I am in school, that's college asshole check the profile why don't you before you stick your foot in your mouth. And who cares if your little gay ass skates is that supposed to make you cool!? Furthermore don't use the Angry Nerd's name in vain that guy is a fuckin genius. So go play your little Nintendo and leave the real games to the men.

  • real games? what do yoou speek of fool?

  • I think you hate the NES because you were never able to finish Super Mario 1, so you have some sort of trauma with the NES

  • LMFAO! You're cool man I like you. Yeah that Super Mario was a motherfucker lol. Naw all I was saying man is how they designed the NES all screwed up and as a result it simply didn't function right. Try telling that to these hardcore NES nutcases though and you see what happens.

  • Yes I agree that the nintendo did have some flaws, in my opinion the console's major cons were the front loader cartrige system, everyone knows the infamous blinking NES problem, it was a nice idea to keep the cartrige hidden but not all ideas are as good as they seem. Also another problem, at least in my console was that the rubber contacts inside the control pad cracked after the first year of use and this made the buttons less "clickable" as they don't spring aswell..

  • other than that it was a really fun console and I'm glad I still have mine after all these years and it still works, not like todays electronics that are not as reliable. You'll soon see these newer consoles with some hardware problems. Todays's electronics policy is "build cheep, sell expensive".

  • Nintendo really did bad in making the NES with cheap contact pins, if it weren't for that, I risk in saying it would be the most reliable console. If someone doesn't agree please don't post negatively to death, it's just my humble opinion. Sorry for the long comment.

  • coolwet your an ass video games probably wouldnt be what they are if this system wasnt made

  • I don't support Famiclones either. I only play an original '80s NES or an imported Famicom. One problem: "Kirby's Adventure, one of the last games to come out on the system" is incorrect. The very last licensed NES game was Wario's Woods, released in 1994.

  • He said "ONE OF THE LAST." Not "THE LAST"

  • keywords; one of the last.

  • i never blow mine i just push around the cartridge when its inserted

  • Who the fuck would even be bothered with that ancient shit!? Sure I understand NES is a gaming classic but still the workmanship of that system was so horrible it died for a damn good reason. Clean games my ass that shit didn't work right as a fuckin rule and all of you gamers know this. Taking tens of minutes just to get a damn game to even come on that's a gaming hell I'm not going back to ever!

  • Get yourself a top loader or one of the many modern NES clones (you can get one on eBay for about $20-30) out there and you have no reason to complain.

  • I will never support those pieces of junk. I've owned 2 different famiclones and they're crap. They do not play games properly. The graphics are glitchier and the sound does not run properly.

  • I don't either, actually. Any Famiclone that gets the sound wrong or doesn't play Castlevania III I will automatically pass up. If you ask me, the AV Famicom is the best way to play NES games.

  • ugh...who cares u big geek...we can all enjoy our nintendo...us skaters..gamers..everyone...so just shut up. your little comment makes no mark in the hearts and minds of us true nintendo fans. and without nintendo u wouldnt have ur peice of crap PS3

  • Because the PS3 and 360 both work properly (sarcasm)

  • hey your right man, not sure I believe that the ps3 is crap but without the nes there probably wouldn't be no wii ps3 or 360 ALL HAIL THE NES! lol

  • totally man!

  • you know, if you don't push the game down, it works perfect.

i never have to blow on cartridges anymore.
