Dorothy has struggled with depression and bipolar all her life. What depression like that does is teach you compassion towards other human beings and a hesitancy to judge. I know--because like Dorothy I have suffered from depression all my life. Naive people may believe that you just take a happy pill and have a little bit of counseling and it all goes away. Well, it doesn't, it's always there. I believe it is a gift that keeps one from the pride and hubris so commonplace in our modern world.

I was never was a fan of figure skating until I saw Dorothy Hamill on You Tube. She is the epitome of elegance, grace and finesse . Unlike most of today's atheletes she is modest and unassuming. Live along and happy life Dorothy.
