No it's not slime in this video. I am demonstrating how to make silly putty using liquid starch and glue. Check out my diaper science for slime recipe.

it's used for taking wrinkles out of clothing and making it stiffer depending on how much you use. I use the spray starch on my clothing.

You can read the ingredients on the various detergents.. You need a consistency like liquid starch plus it needs the borax.

Tide, bleach etc.. will not work.

No, add more starch.. the starch contains borax which is the cross-linker causes it to be more stretchy/stiff, etc..

Bruna, noticed you live in UK... go to your local grocery store.. Liquid starch should be in the laundry detergent section. The container (plastic) will be labeled "liquid starch".

Hipposongiscool- you can use other types of white glue. Elmers glue is probably the thickest brand so that's why it works best... Try other white glues. Avoid the 2 for $1.00 types, etc..

knex.. the liquid starch is the cross-linker.

You will add the Elmers glue to the liquid starch which contains borax (acts as the cross-linker).

If you add a borax solution (20 mule team powder) you can make the putty even stretchier.

In the US liquid starch costs about $2.00 a bottle. figure about 2 bottles worth.

Elmers Glue works best... If you have to use another type of glue make sure it is not a "cheap brand"...I would suggest making it with what you have access to (white glue) in Singapore. Thanks for watching.

You don't want corn starch.. You want liquid fabric starch.. It can be found in the laundry detergent isle at your local grocery store. Usually comes in a blue plastic bottle.
