  • ok. Tay Thi is Vietnamese.

Viet Quoc - Viet is vietnam and Quoc is country.

I'm 13 yrs old and I learn Vietnamese history therefore I know that Tay Thi is Vietnamese.

I don't think this picture is Tay Thi, it;s probably Duong Quy Phi.

Everyone can be mistaken so it;s all right. Chill - lax

  • @HanhDung2bf That true Tay Thi is vietnamese also chinese too. because viet people from by the north china moving down to Vietnam. In ancient viet people use chinese letter. and latter viet has Han Nom letter too. Just the Different because Mongolia and Manchuria beat up Chinese and ruled completely China. and become chinese people today and force chinese learn mandarin but still has Han language chinese together too.

  • @HanhDung2bf No, Tay Thi is Chinese. It is called Viet Quoc because it is translated and it is the Chinese name translation. Tay Thi is one of the four most famous beauties of Chinese history. Vietnam was never called "quoc" The old Viet people called it Nuoc Nam, not quoc.

  • I'm Chinese but I don't like to be called Han Chinese, I like to be called "T'ng Lang" (or Tang Dynasty People), because my grandparents migrated from China and had a better life here in Malaysia. We have greater mutual respect for all races compared to PRC people. PRC govt are too stucked-up. I sympathise my distant relatives living in Fujian province. They must be suffering from the grim regime right now.

NB. Minyue and Nanyue (NamViet) were not originally Han Chinese, but forced assimilation.

  • Everyone, the point is the current Vietnam country is only a small % compared to the whole Viet origin ethnics. The majority of "viet" were conquered long ago that now they think they're "Han" descendents. What we should do is invade china in the future if we can and take back what's rightfully ours!

Even today, china is still trying to take what's left of Vietnam. Example is the Paracel and Spratly Islands (Dao Truong Sa va Hoang Sa). The communist government can go shoot themselves!

  • You guys are fuktard, esppecially BillNguyen92. Don't open your mouth if you don't know anything. Vietnamese people used to live ranging from Shanghai (when it used to be just a small fishing village thousands of years ago) south to Quang Dong, Quang Xi, and now Northern Vietnam. Vietnamese people back had many names for their country. Tay Thi is of Vietnamese orgin, but because Vietnam back then was a part of China, they called her "chinese".

  • A long time ago, China was divided into many small countries, include Ngo Quoc and Viet Quoc. I am not sure that Vietnamese used to live fron Shanghai, Quang Dong or not. However, Viet Quoc and Tay Thi didn't have any connection with Vietnam. Vietnamese history dosen't mention about her. You guys can check out at wikipedia. At the first time, I was also confused since Vietnam and Viet Quoc, the names sound similar. Feel free to contact to me if you have any question. Lychannhu

  • You need to realize that there were hundreds of tribes that are of Vietnamese origin (Bach Viet). Slowly, these tribes were invaded one by one by central china & was incorporated into "the Han". The current Vietnam was the only remaining tribe(s) that resisted their advancement. She is of Viet origin that belonged to the groups ruled by china.

To asdfghjklBleh, chinese ruled VN over 1,000 yrs. Of course we fucking translated shits from them! They forced their culture down on us!

  • Did you check about Tay Thi at wikipedia? I think wikipedia have some info about her.

  • @Guideair They found Ancient Vietnamese stuff in northern Vietnam around 2000-1400BC Plus since 200BC the first King of Ancient Vietnamese is Hung King (Lac Viet tribe), then there was another tribe appear also lived in northern Vietnam is Au Viet then Lac Viet lost to Au Viet then An Duong Vuong call Ancient Vietnam is Au Lac. Ancient vietnamses people original lived in northern Vietnam and never appear up to Shanghai as Bach Viet as you dumb fuck said...try to learn Ancient Vietnam history!!!

  • @Guideair where did you read those? are you sure that source was 100% accurate? don't try to make yourselves sound smart dude! Ancient Vietnamese was invaded by Chinese and call Han and there are not much historical around this time but Bach Viet is never been a Vietnamese tribes At that time Ancient Vietnamese people still call themselves as Au Lac people( it was form by combine Lac Viet and Au Viet but don't mistake Bach Viet is also a Vietnamese tribes because the name Viet)

  • @Guideair and State of Yue was located at Zhejiang way too far from northern Vietnam ok

  • @lychannhu

Hahaha Wikipedia? you rely your intelligence on Wikipedia? hahaha. It is a site that anyone can go on with minimal research or reference and post whatever they want and be accepted.

  • @Guideair Don't call other people a fuktard when you are not better than them!!! try to learn Ancient Vietnamese history!!!!!! Ancient Vietnamese people never climb up to Shanghai, Quang Xi ok? Ancient Vietnamese people live in Northern Vietnamese ( maybe a little bit up in China land but not that far since 2000BC ok?

  • Tay Thi is Chinese. Her chinese name is Xi Shi. She was one of the four beauties of China. Yes, she existed. If anyone who thinks that she is Vietnamese, you guys can seriously go die. sigh*

  • ummm your right. guideair should shut his face up, cause vietnam is vietnam ! WTF. part chinese, we take chinese history and translate it back to vietnamese even the names like jacky chan he not from viet.... we call him Thanh Long, cause we gave him that name, !! so shut up

  • @BillNguyen92 I think you should really learn history before you write things for the public to read. You will look like an educated person like you did with you last comment.

  • First, Tay Thi is not Vietnamese! There used to be another country called Viet Quoc, but it is not Vietnam. They just happened to have the same name. Another thing is that no one knows if Tay Thi is real or not, she is just one of those people that is really famous but with not much historical proof. Last, if she did exist, her real name is A Khuong.

  • she is real thoug. Diao Chan is the one that they didn't know if she really existed.
