I agree. So far so good. I think he just needed the confidence and now that people are supporting him, both fans and teammates, I think he has it. What was the totals today? Like 48 shots and 44 saves? That's brilliant. I think the refs were kinda fucked this game (no tripping/hooking on the stamkos goal, no goaltender interference on the Malone goal and a lame Subban high sticking penalty). Nevertheless, Price is getting the #1 star in my books. I think he can do it. Thoughts?

Well Mario Tremblay is gone. Roy said himself that Tremblay was the reason, and the fans at the game that night. Habs fans need to stick behind their goalies always, whether they let in no goals or twenty. Price is playing well so far this year, pre-season excluded. As soon as he makes a big save (so far), and the crowd goes nuts he catches fire from the confidence boost. Thats my 2c anyways :P

Yeah, but even then its a 'probably' thing lol. The puck at that moment was going wide, and it was a huge maybe if Homstrom would get a piece of it since he was already falling down.

There was absolutely no question of Crosbys shot going in on Varlamov but he snagged it off the goal line (not just in the crease), mid air, behind his back. Plus just the fast of Varlamov being a rookie and in the playoffs, his save was waaay more impressive and more clutch imo

@ZetorWRC People who rely on stats are the biggest amateurs I know. Price is a young goalie a lot of potential, as well as Halak. Sergei Kostitsyn is the best example. Poor kid dekes the whole opposing team, then hits the iron or makes a pass and the other person misses the net. Then the stupid ass fans whine, when they themselfs can't even hold steady on skates.

haha i dont no if u can call that a save, but it was pure athletisism, i think carey will be a good goalie, he has everything going for him.....size, great technique and dirty reflexs, thats a winning combo. he kinda reminds me of a more athletic luongo, if price can get the confidence early in his carrer he has all the potential, thas how broduer is looked at in a category with roy, and luongo is not....because he has been dirty since he was 19
