  • true red eye just doesnt work on the cannon sd750

  • thanks xxKristiexx, that was very helpful for me to see..

Perhaps I could ask you a question? Is there a limit as to how long one can take video footage on this thing, I remember my old olympus something or other(useless)had a time limit, is that so for this camera?

  • You're welcome!

    Well to answer your questions...

I don't believe there's a time limit for this camera. It'll record as long as your battery holds out and depending on how much space is on your memory card.

If you like taking lots of video, I'd suggest getting an SD card specifically for that, so your pictures won't take up space.

  • i've been hearing lately that the canon powershot in black takes slightly better quality pictures than the silver..do you think that that is true?

  • i don't see how the color would affect the picture quality. i guess it calls for some research! :)

  • am trying to decide between the canon sd750 and sony dsc s750.......can anyone tell me which camera delivers better picture quality?

  • i would say the canon but its your choice :)

  • i thought a high ISO when its really dark and you want to let as much light in as possible? But your picture turns out grainy if you do it? Or not? And the long shutter speed is for the same thing?

  • low ISO is for letting lots of light in. high iso takes the picture faster.

pictures start to get grainy at around ISO 800

this camera goes up to ISO 1600 which is VERY grainy and not really useable. Long shutter speed is for letting lots of light in, because the shutter is slow.

  • oh okay thanks

  • why is there no battery life on the digital ixus75?and what is ISO?when to use high and when to use low ISO?and what is the long shutter for?(i posted a comment just now..but dont know whether it went through.

  • there is battery life on the ixus 75. iso is the shutter speed. you use high iso speed to capture things quicky or to reduce light. you use low iso speed when you want more light. the long shutter is for a blurring effect or to increase light by a lot.

  • thanx, tested the long shutter thingy, really cool when taking pictures of cars passing by on the highway at night.but somehow my camera doesnt show the battery life and i just cant seem to find where to turn it on/off.only when the battery is about to go flat, then it pops out and starts blinking.

  • ah, that is one disadvantage of this camera. there is not battery life meter. it just shows up when it gets low. it's good to have at least two batteries so that you can avoid running out.

  • Quick question... How do you make your videos under 100 MB? YouTube only allows you to upload videos up to 10 minutes long, or under 100 MB. I recorded a 3 minute video and it's 343 MB. The dimensions is 640X480. Help PLEASE!!!

  • if you put the video into windows movie maker, you can save it as a movie file, and also save it as 100 MB
