I've had this phone for a year now and absolutely love it. I've had Android (gingerbread 2.1 or 2.2?) on it for about 9 months and I definitely prefer it as such. I gotta say though, if you like Android better, get an HTC Desire. It's basically this with Android by default. Running Android on my HD2 causes it to freeze for a few seconds every once in a while and sometimes fail to boot up, which can be really frustrating. If you like Windows, this is great! The app market is the only downside.

I got myself a HTC Desire last month and my girlfriend got this, the HTC HD2 the week after me. After using my phone and then having a play with my girlfriends phone I found the HTC HD2 absolutely horrible. Windows Mobile is really crap, and the marketplace is dire, so glad I got the Desire as I was thinking of getting this myself. My girlfriend quickly swapped this phone while she was still allowed on her mobile contract. If you can people I would strongly and honestly get a HTC Desire instead.

@maxima423 I get about 2 days battery life under normal/heavy use. Its slightly less than my last phone (Nokia E71). I would say thats because of the size of the screen and the constant updating form data applications like email and weather conditions. Of course all of these can be switched off or settings changed to udate less frequently and the screen brightness and dim time can also be adjusted, this would increase the battery charge life if you need it to last longer. I think its fantastic.

@guzguzmamis The phone is awesome, so quick and great for multimedia (videos especially). Internet browsing is actually quicker than my laptop working on the same 3G wireless network. The marketplace for apps is fairly limited (especially if like yourself you are used to iPhone applications. But if you look around you will find some pretty decent stuff (try XDA developers website for some good free stuff). I highly recommend this phone, its the best communication/multimedia/ entertainment device

There are 2 new phones comming out that are going to be better, yet. its by HTC, the only better thing about them is 1 is going to have an 8.3mega pixal cam and a 1.8megapixcal in front face of phone for video streaming, also will be just as fast and it will be smaller, the other one is pretty much the same thing as this except its 100% touch screen, smaller and its camara is 8.0 on back.

The Iphone 4g will be as good as this one if not it will only be a step under.
