Your bike sounds great..like an aftermarket exhaust. I just got a 2008 FZ1 and it came with an extra new stock exhaust. I'd really like to know exactly what you did and so I could possibly to that to my spare exhaust. I wouldn't be able to gut the cats because I still have over 2 years of dealer warranty left....but I bet it would still sound good. Nice sound - also nice look on the stocker. I just bought a new 2009 and it has the stock can with the aluminum-look ends. Blacked out looks less bulgy.
I had a DL650 which was nice, but this thing is powerful & smooth. I don't know if I'll mod anything... well, maybe a fender elim.
i took both cats out gutted the whole can installed packing around a peice of strait pipe with small holes in it then welded the pipe in the can . so its basicly strait pipe. had to cut the muffler welds to do the job then reweld it and paint it
