I'm not sure I recognize all these disparaging comments of lawyers - the true defenders of freedom in a society that loves to give lip service to the idea of curtailing abuses by the government against the individual.

Perhaps if I lived in Soviet Russia, Vietnam, China, Iran or North Korea I would be able to understand them better.

Oh, and BTW, it's the JUDGE'S & JURY'S responsibility to decide the guilt or innocence of the offender, assholes. The lawyer's ONLY job: to defend their client.

It takes a special type of person to get up in front of a jury and argue a defendant's case, especially in circumstances of seemingly overwhelming evidence against them.

Also, since the burden of proof is on the state, murderers and rapists and molesters wouldn't get off if prosecutors had better cases against them. That's just the way it is.

Yes but you also have to consider people who are falsly accused, they need guys like these too save their asses

@Alfrunk ya i know, it sucks. I think its just how the system works. Everyone is considered "innocent" before guilty, and its up the defendants peers to determine his or her fate
