Thinking of using making a Wilsonart screen like you have. In the video it appears there is some discoloration in the lower right quadrant of the screen. Is that hotspotting?? Thanks.
Dude, you have an amazing setup! Just one thing I didn't like .. Windows Media Centre :) you should be using XBMC please google it if you never heard of it.. Its the future of Media Centre.. Nothing can touch it .. XBMC. :)
@mkohman I've been using XBMC since I hacked my first Xbox almost 10 years ago. The limitation in XBMC is support for live tv; with Windows Media Center I have one htpc and a 4 channel cablecard tuner acting as a whole-home DVR. Each tv has an Xbox 360 which allows us to watch live and recorded television as well as all the movies, music, and pictures on my 8TB server.
XBMC is very nice, but it can't do all of that (yet) :-)
@RazHMac I use a Harmony remote, and you have to set up a sequence under the "customize buttons" section. The sequence for play turn lights off sends two commands: one to the dvd player to play the movie, and another to the lighting to tell it to switch to a scene (only the screen backlighting). I have another video showing the IR controlled lighting and screen from a few years ago
