My PSP 2000does run very well I play f-zero at full speed with the newest deadulus emulator, supermario 64 runs flawless with sound, super smash bros, 007, starfox etc!! I heard emulators on this Yinlips YDP are old and you cant update them in that case I wont buy it when my PSP does the task. I will buy an xperia play, vita or a pandora.
@gravityhammer25 Good luck with oot though. If the vita gets jailbroken that machine has serious power and could probably emulate ps2 with a decent emulator.
That's because the PSP uses handheld hardware from 2004 and homebrew to run it. To run full speed emulation you need two things. 1. Good programming, this is necessary to achieve the best possible emulation and it's hard to code for homebrew, normally only the company that own the games you're trying to emulate can do it because they made them in the first place. continuing on to 2 next post.
@Ocarina1488 daedalusx64 was ported very well to the psp and i have nothing but respect for what was done with the psp's old hardware. I am well aware of what emulation requires friend :).
@sipper2136 dw, I'm not saying you don't :) I was just saying that because the PSP can't do it as well doesn't mean that it's fake. I agree that the PSP had good hardware for it's time, but things get cheaper and cheaper. Now you can buy phones that have better hardware then a PSP and all share the same OS. Therefor there are more things with better emulation capabilities.

2. Good hardware, the hardware needs to be significantly higher then the console it's trying to emulate to achieve full speed. I think the standard is 7x more powerful.
Normally if you have really good hardware or really good programming you don't need the other one as much, still to achieve the best emulation you really do need both.
I also just want to add that the 'Yinlips YDP - G18 isn't emulating OOT that well either, but it is better then the PSP.
Fuck PSVita. I really need this one right now.

Yes vita has very good hardware, and someone already did the "hello world" exploit using the PSP emulator on the PS vita.

Could you please show gameplay of f-zero x on this device?
And if you could, say how you purchased it?
Thanks!

So far this device is good, my only complaint with that n64 emulator is sound skipping here and there but the framerate is flawless.
