So happy to find this music!I used to listen to it for hours when I started playing(Hendrix and Cream time!),I was fascinated because I loved it but did not understand any of the structures implied(harmony was a terra incognita to me!).Thank you so much for posting,JL.
@industrialsun Michael Tsarion is the worlds premier conspiracy researcher/lecturer/author. Dr. Bill DEagle, Jordan Maxwell, Leo Zagami and Alexandre Dumas pere are highly informative as well. p.s. Melting Euphoria is similar to Ozric Tentacles and Gong.
Wow! It was so good to hear this again. I bought this record after hearing the Twin House album with Larry Coryell. I was happy to have found more Philip Catherine at that time, and I was even happier that this track was on the LP. When I first heard it however, I was surprised at how different this recording was than the one that is found on the Twin House album. I did not like it as much at first, but soon found myself liking it more than the Twin House recording. Sadly, all my albums are gone
An add for fact fetishists: He played "Home comings" 2 years later (acoustic version) with another great guitarist-Larry Coryell- on the "Twin House" album (Atlantic, 1977)
can someone please post more from this album, i lent it like an idiot to another guitar player years ago and miss it terribly, it can't be found anywhere... thanks for this...
@gibsonbacker A cover is always necessary. In concealment lies a great part of our strength. Hence we must always hide ourselves under the name of another society. --Die neusten ararbeiten des Spartacus and Philo in dem Illuminaten-Orden, 1794, p: 165
This is taken from page 491 of Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco. 'Coincidentally' Umberto Eco has written the introduction to the newly printed version of Alexandre's The Count of Monte Christo.
ı suggest you to listen the another version of this track in Erkan Ogur's -he recorded the song with Catherine- two albums: "Fretless" and "Bir Ömürlük Misafir". The versions are almost the same execpt little diffrenties. They are acoustic and very deep.

Philip's magnum opus. I have listened to this masterwork hundreds of times and it still amazes me.

Mon morceau préféré de P. Catherine, mais tiré de Guitars et non de Guitar Groove.

Philip told me in 1983 that he recorded the fantastic solo on this song after the unexpected death of a friend...great passion...great intensity...
