I got a scope bite before with my SKS, and I had my 30.06 springfield armory go off with the barrel end against a concrete floor and me on a 5 gal bucket. Hey try a "300 Win Mag 150 gr GMX" from Hornaday instead. This little sweetie is moving out around 3400/3850 fps. I switched all my rounds over to Hornaday as they have a flatter trajectory. That and I like the little more ummph they have behind them. Look for the polymer tip as this is a rapid expansion on impact. (Maybe decimating the jug of ice?)
I have a .270 Winchester that kicks good, but the worst is a .357 out of a snubnose. With .38 special it's sweet, but with the mags it just tears up my palm.

haha nice shooting, sorry bout the saints. My 300 WM flip up lens cap caught me in the eye brow just enough to remind me to respect the beast. but it shoots like a champ, nickel groups at a buck holding 1/2'' high. yeap, Im ready for deer season. btw GO PACKERS

I shot a starling with a 22 mag using a 33gr hornaday round about 30 yards. Only thing I found left was the head and tail feathers. Everything else was gone.............

Hey try a "300 Win Mag 150 gr GMX" from Hornaday instead. This little sweetie is moving out around 3400/3850 fps. I switched all my rounds over to Hornaday as they have a flatter trajectory. That and I like the little more ummph they have behind them. Look for the polymer tip as this is a rapid expansion on impact. (Maybe decimating the jug of ice?)

I have a .270 Winchester that kicks good, but the worst is a .357 out of a snubnose. With .38 special it's sweet, but with the mags it just tears up my palm.
