  • rc planes almost never have the same handeling orperformance as the real ones...unless you pay 10k fora plane with a 20ft wingspan....still nice plane....you should upgrade the motor and put a small airsoft gun in it.

  • I like how the hatch pops off with easy access to the motor/motor mount,..which means easy upgrade for motor etc

  • bananahobby has crap customer service and they sell alot of junk be carefull!

  • The plane is really great.Maybe you guys cant just control it.Spitfire has a wing design that like to tip stalled but not for this plane coz its not scale.Peace

  • nice flying i really like the looks of this spitfire compared to others i have a few questions though weres the reciver located in the plane and tou dont have to modify or cut anything to get to it right cause i wanna use my spectrum dx6i in it when i buy it please reply and nice flying keep up the good work!:)

  • That Spitfire does look great but their other WWII fighters need some work as far as authentic looks go. Look at Park Zones 109 then take a look at theirs I'm sure they will work on it though.

  • Sorry but these planes are junk. Flimsy, zero access to anything and if the electrics dont go to rc heaven in the first 3 minutes, then your very lucky indeed.. Cheap for sure but its not worth the effort if you want value for money.. Sorry again...

  • don't wanna comment on BananaHobby to much here,

    but you guys suck !!!

  • How long to fly before battery go dead?

  • man u sound gay plz get some kinda voice changer

  • This is NOT scale-like performance. Heavy and overpowered is what it is. It does LOOK scale and that's good but no Spit ever hovered, not even close.

  • I could watch you fly that war bird for a 1/2 hour easy without getting bored in the least!! Sweet plane!

    5/5

  • That was fantastic young dude, what a skilled flyer you are.I grew up as a kid 20 yrs after world war 2 building spitfire models only dreaming of one you could fly and present day its here!! All the points you were complementing about the planes handling etc are the same things spitfire pilots said about the real thing, that plane saved our asses here in the UK.

  • On the video of the Norvel, diesel engine, the propeller is an 8 x4, two blade. At 10.4K top end, that delivers 20 ounces of static thrust. I'll be aiming for 18 ounces flying weight and that gives over 1/1 weight to thrust ratio. Plenty of power.

  • Mine is on its way from HobbyKing without the radio. It won't be electric, I'll be installing one of my 1/2A diesel engines. See my channel or do a search for,

    RC engine dieselized Norvel .061

Note that the sound will be more realistic. Also, I anticipate that it'll be lighter allowing for a more realistic flight speed.

  • if this is what we were fighting against the Germans with ... no wonder we won

  • How fast can it fly on a full charge

  • C'est mon avion je l'ais reçu aujourd'hui très jolie mais comme j'suis débutant ben déja deux hélices de casser, troooop la mission franchement!!!

Mais bon je perd pas espoir!!!! ^^

  • this one is pritty much parkzone but the parkzone one has a geared motor rather than a brushless

  • fair play, that looks excellent. I've always bought GWS planes, but I think I'll give Art Tech a go next time.

  • Okay guys, what he's trying to say guys, is that again guys, this is a nice plane guys. Very easy and nice to work with guys. Get it guys?

  • hey pete love the music Newsboys rock, any way I have a suggestion for Banana hobby. I would like you guys to sell these airplanes as ARFs and Kits. just a suggestion and I love the Newsboys

  • pete could you tell me if the cg is with or without the battery

  • pete just got the spitfire but could you tell me if the cg is with or without the battery , the radio on mine keeps losing the link and becouse of that have broke both props otherwise a nice plane

  • You don't even hear it.

  • he sounded like a girl when he started

  • is it expensive?

  • So is it to scale?

  • komu se to nelibí ať jde do p***!

    Nadhernej spitfire i video

  • i love spitfire.

    Whats the song?

  • I love the spitfire and the mustang.

  • I think all these negative comments are ridiculous. I am new to RC airplanes and both of my planes are art-tech: this exact spitfire and previously a f4u corsair. I think that banana hobby has some great beginner rc airplanes for the novices like myself. I will admit that you do get what you pay for, and these foam planes do not work well in the wind.

  • more rubbish from this mob, looks like crap to me cuz thats all they sell, this mob are the most unethical hobby shop I have come across. Don't take my word for buy the thing and see what you get

  • lol i liked the cub in the backroud

  • Лично я не доверяю интернет магазинам, у нас в России можно купить без заказа, прямо в специализированных магазинах, не ожидая доставок! И что самое главное сразу можно проверить товар на месте, комплектацию, исправность в отличае от интернет магазинов!!!

  • to bad he don't get that excited about helping people out who have some of that junk stuff buyer beware. get parkzone horizon hobby e-flight hobbyzone if you won't to get your money's worth.you new guy's can go to watt flyer or rcu it will help weed out the junk stuff be fore you wast your money and time.

  • Finally got mine, speed controller had bad solder joints and did not function. Repaired it myself after 2 hours of trying to get Banana Hobby to acknowledge it was defective. The plane flew just fine, but you need to be paying attention. Overall I am happy with it. Unlimited vertical? No way... but it flies ok for a scale plane.

  • i bought this plane and it is really hard to fly not a high lift wing so your flying a pretty high speed to keep it in the air and if you come in to slow on land the wings are quick to stall, i crashed in after a snap roll the magnets failed so the battery pulled the speed controller out and now i need a new plane, bought the new MX2 from bananahobbys hoping for good things :)

  • The airplane looks gorgeous. It looks beautiful in the air, really authentic.

But you know what kills it? The fact that it's so silent. You need the sound of a combustion engine to make this perfect.

  • Banana Hobby has the worst customer service ever. I was charged for my plane a week ago, and they still have not shipped it. No it was not an authorization, I was actually charged as PURCHASE. Still no ship, and cannot contact customer service, they do not respond to emails.

At this point I would like to just cancel the order but of course I need to reach them to do that.

  • @helipilot727 hey i just got my order from bananahobby last monday12/07/09 and i ordered it on thanksgiving weekend 11/30/09, i picked the ups ground shipping which is the least expensive and yeah it takes about a week and a half so have just hang in there for a couple more of days.

PS: I got the Blitzrcworks F4U Corsair it is really nice can't wait to fly it, but i have to wait till christmas, its my first 4 channel aircraft my previous plane was the flyzone Sky fly 2 which is a 3 channel.

  • @Ramilflyer150: Thats a great plane, my friend has one. But his speed control caught on fire instantly before even flying it. Banana Hobby said they would replace it and never did. Good luck, hope everything works out for you.

  • Yeah, if you are wanting to buy an electric foam plane GET ANYTHING PARKZONE. Do not buy anything Art tech, TW, Blitzrcworks ect. I had an art tech corsair and the motor blew after two flights. I just decided to put an E Flite motor and ESC in it. Those motors come stock with anything parkzone. They make a far superior product.

  • pete, i love this spitfire, i have been handlaunching her now for a while,

i have a few issues though, the stock props are very weak, i broke both mine very quickly with tiny accidents

it likes to tip over on landing? so i now have a 2 bladed prop and belly land it, 9x7.5 is the best prop i have found

the foam on mine is VERY brittle and weak? it almost snapped in two today after a really high g loop?

could u replace the airframe for me with a different one? maybe a pitts?

  • very nice spit fire.

  • hi this plane looks amazing but im a beginner and i only have a 3ch piper cub so could i get this or should i get a trainer like the wing tiger so i can get better at flying before i get one of these? thanks (ps. banana hobby is the best rc site :))

  • Thank you for the comment! Glad you enjoy the site! I would suggest for you to start with the Wingtiger. It is a far better training type aircraft yet can be very aerobatic as well. Please let me know if you have any further questions!

  • thanks :)

  • hi, i am not really a beginner but i am only 14, i have the su-27 jet from art tech but havent been sucessfull yet so i was downgrading for a while, if you want to upgrade but dont think you can make the jump to a spitfire you need any plane that has wings above the fuesalage, i think the cessna is a great plane and is what i am getting, it can fly slow etc, art tech do three, if i was you i would get the middle rande one which has blue, not red decal and is brushless.

  • thanks but i think im gonna get a wingtiger its high wing like u said i should get and it can fly slow too thanks anyway and is it a 182?

  • yea it is a 182, i just suggested it becuase it is a great slow flyer but can go faster as you advance, it also looks nice were as the wing tiger is not actually based on a real plane, it is still a good plane though.

  • How would this compare to the parkzone spitfire? Was going to order that from my LHS.

  • I have not flown the Parkzone version. I just love this Spitfire because it is brushless and in the video, I fly her Stock out of the box and she is plenty powerful and flies awesome!

  • The Parkzone Spitfire (and FW-190) is very underpowered to the point of being barely flyable. They fly good with brushless conversions.

  • lol u dont need to, just saying ;D

  • thats was long and boaring but nice plane!

  • lol. Thanks!

  • pete i have ordered this, its on its way to the uk as we speak, my aunty recieved in in just under 2 weeks from me ordering it, i will let you know how it flys etc, i think that bananahobby deserve some praise, i am active on the rcgroups forum for bananahobby, and even if pete doesnt answer ur question immediatly, one of the 6or7 of us on there will, cant wait till i turns up at my door!

  • Thank you so much for the comment! Let me know if you have any further questions! Happy Flying!

  • np, might have a few fror ya when i get it :D

  • how many times didint i heard the word "guys" on bananahobbys vid

  • haha! I am doing the best I can to stop using "guys".

  • the intro song is now stuck in my head!

everytime I watch his vid I kinda singalong in the intro.....

  • lol! Glad ya like the song!

  • hahhahah

  • SUPER movie. I have a question as can be done to have such a large window on YouTube. I do movies in the format 1440x 1080 but the window is smaller - I greet and thank for the information :-)

  • Thanks for the comment! The format is 1280X720 and it will register as a HD video and automatically format it to a wide screen.

  • Once christmas comes I am ordering one of these from you. I want to get into r/c planes and you guys made me.

  • lol same here but i am getting the tw-748 one :D

  • The TW 748 is a great flying plane!

  • I'm glad to see you take a liking to this hobby! It is a wonderful hobby!

  • thanks Pete once again another great video!

  • Thank you!!

  • can u send me the link of the parts for the spitfire? plz

  • Link is up and running on our site.

  • It is a simple answer. There are thousands of happy customers that frequent with us. None of them ever post when things are going right. As soon as something goes bad, they feel the need to post. I work so hard here to meet all the customers concerns. I will always continue to do so. When issues arise, I will meet them.

  • Most of banana hobbies stuff is well priced.

why all the bad reps on RCgroups????.

im curious to know why you guys get a bad rep

  • wow this plane is awesome...Im goin to get it as soon as i get more experience flying

  • Awesome! Let me know if I can answer any questions you may have!

  • What kind of foam is it made out of???

  • It is EPS foam.

  • Just placed the order for this plane last night so excited for it to come XD

  • Awesome! Congrats! Let me know if you have any questions!

  • hey i just discovered your channel. it is awesome and i subbed offcourse. its a shame that i didnt findt it earlier but this channel helps me allot thanks!

  • Thanks for your support!

  • any spare parts incase of crash

  • We carry the complete spare parts! Thanks!

  • hi pete, greetings from the uk. can this spit be hand launched and belly landed. cheers bro.

  • they can be hand launched but not really landed without wheels unless your willing to break the prop eachtime.

  • Hand launching will be fine! It is a 3 bladed propeller so on your landing, you will have to position the blades or you can break the propeller. You can also use a 2 Bladed prop as well.

  • Mouldy i have a f4u corsair mate and she has a three bladed prop and i have belly landed her ok a few times mate but like pete said you could always use a two bladed prop.

  • well would be kool if u did^^

  • Thanks!

  • great flying but crazy sidewinds:? lol

  • The winds were crazy all together! Thanks for the comment!

  • hi pete. great review as always. I particularly liked the camera following the plane during the taxi.

It would be cool having the cam follow the review planes during launch too ;-)

I'm also guessing the photographer has a damn expensive 400mm lens with a low f-stop ... am I correct?

  • Thanks for the comment! Ya we are using a 300mm L series lens.

  • Very Scale. Looks like it has plenty of power. I saw you slightly doing a knife edge, so it has probably im guessing has a power to weight ratio of 1.5. Sweet Spitfire Pete!

  • Thanks!! It flies really nice!

  • Weel done Pete!

  • Thank you!

  • hi pete. great video. how do you get the plane to fly like it does around 4min56sec? i think it is called crabbing. thx

  • I tried this tonight with my parkzone t28....it seems to be half rudder and some opposite aeileron to counteract the action of the rudder.

  • Thanks for the comment! I think you are refering to a knife edge? It is with aileron, elevator and rudder input.

  • Yeah nice one Pete, you can't beat a good warbird in my book ;-) 5*

  • Thanks! I agree! I love warbirds!

  • this is foam or plastic or some kind of wood?

  • foam

  • This is made of ultra light and high density foam.

  • Looks great!

  • Thanks!

  • wow that is anwsome warbird i saw a real on fly this is one of the most scale looking p40 i have ever saw btw pete are u coming to the toledo show in ohio please reply

    ps clay payne

  • It is a spitfire, not a p-40... :D

  • Thanks! I will not be attending the Toledo show this year.

  • I think its a nice plane, but i got a katana man.

  • i want ur job if u ever want to pay 4 me come from uk to work with message me hahaha

  • LOL Okay!

  • why does it sound so weird when flying past?

  • Think the motor isnt as loud as others

  • oh cos its realy weird it like a jet but it isn't sounds windy too O_o..

  • brushless motors make less noise than brushed, and the brushless outrunner is a nice example of that.

  • Thanks for helping me answer. Much appreciated!

  • nice lowflying in the start!........ knife-edge too :D

  • nice flying skills! keep them up Pete! nice job!

  • Thank you so much!

  • which song is this

  • It is by the Newsboys

  • got to love the RAF

  • the spitfire was always one of my favorite warbirds! sweet plane!

  • Thank you!

  • hey

  • Amazing as usual Pete

The only un-scale thing about it is the amazing power.

  • Thanks for the comment!

  • Sweet!

  • Thanks!
