I think the whole Toyota pedal problem was blown out of proportion...the little stems on the floor mats break causing the mat to shift forward. When you accelerate or depress the accelerator fully, the mat has the potential to slide over the pedal, holding it down...in all honesty it could happen to any car no matter where it was made.. Why cant people put their cars in neutral..you should have to know a little about a cars mechanics before operating it..?
I believe Obama and his car company are trying to make themselves look better for bailing out a failing auto industry that doesn't have the balls to get rid of the unions that caused them to fail.
hahaha mabie you should stand in front of a chrysler or gm dealer....THERE MADE IN AMERICA AND THERE PEDALS DONT STICK!!!!!....btw jeep(made by chrysler) are wayy better in snow than a minivan.
@cow6672 My friend, trust me, I only have one agenda here: To have the U.S.A produce the best quality, most reliable vehicles ever! But unfortunately, that has not been the case and I'm sure deep down your hart you concur to this fact. I've been driving American made vehicles for the longest time and gave up on them due to their poor quality. And just so you know, Toyota cars are also made in the U.S.A, in the heart of America, in Kentucky to be exact!
@cow6672 Jeeps,Chrysler, Dodge...owned by Fiat.....All of Chevrolet's new vehicles like every single new Buick model is a rebaged Opel...and as for Ford they are starting to use or base all of their vehicles on the UK models because they are doing so well.. so there aren't any true american vehicles anymore...they are all imports
@cow6672 you dont know anything toyota wasnt the only one that had defective pedals there were other car companies that used the same pedal and had problems and guess what GM was one of them
@cow6672 Silly. If your American car were to drive at 60 miles per hour and hit another car, you would be dead. On the other hand, A Toyota? You're safe. Now unfortunately, Toyota made a mistake. A mistake that caused horrible accidents. A mistake that should have been found during R&D, but Toyota has fixed that mistake, and are now better than ever. You won't find that in current Toyota cars now. Trust me.
What is Toyota's HIDDEN AGENDA when it goes after its critics with VENOM? What Toyota doesn't like, it goes after---with a vengeance!
Toyota's hidden agenda (which the public is wising up to) is to stamp out all criticism and BLAME others, mostly the Toyota vehicle owners, for all inherent vehicle problems! This is WRONG!
Your video is not the least bit funny! You are trivializing the matter of Toyota owner DEATH in these runaway vehicles! Such insensitivity does not help Toyota. Toyota has already shown its true colors to the world now, and when supporters who minimize the issues come forward, it only adds to the disgust that the public has for Toyota.
Oh...then what is TOYOTA doing to its customers? STONEWALLING, that's what! Toyota is OVERREACTING by BLAMING THE OWNER! The Toyota owners are NOT to blame. Toyota is lying to the public!
how dare the media tell us about a car that could kill you i mean what was they thinking i would love to buy a jap car and go wide open down the road and kill myself and others that would be great oh wait i'll just stick to my ford i can trust it
The media can tell us anything that is important to us for as long as they do it objectively without siding or engaging in a proxy smear campaign. They gotta be impartial my friend and avoid a deliberate fearmongering tactics.
There was a good pedal supplier for Toyota and a bad one....the defect is real it isn't a joke many people are dead regardless why or how it happened. 40 people is alot of people...GET YOUR CAR FIXED..this isnt a joke
I've been driving my vehicle since 2006 without any issues what's so ever. I'd still take to the dealership though to take care of the recall. And by the way, thousands of people die every year in car accidents, where the cars have no recall issues. My message here is to take care of the recall but without freaking out unnecessarily.

Damn right! They are trying to harm Toyota's image since local automakers can;t come up with popular vehicles anymore.
