  • "One of the toughest races in the world" Come on Tim, try the Mt Fuji Climbing Race, twice as long, more than twice the gain, summit twice as high in MUCH thinner air....

  • @scrabbleking1965 or try the Skaala Opp. 1800 metres of climbing in 8.2km.

Thing is, just about every race claims they re the 'toughest in the ____' while forgetting about the harder race (in this case loon mountain) just around the corner.

  • @adafal Just for the record the Mt Fuji Climbing Race has 1526 meters of gain in he last 6Km alone, with a total gain of 3006 meters over 21Km plus some pretty strict intermediate and summit cutoff times.

  • @scrabbleking1965 yeah I know. My point was just that by actual mountain running standards, mt washington really isn't a hard race.

  • Maybe you should look into something like Pose Method to help cut down on injuries.

  • Dreams have a nasty habit of going bad when you're not looking...But there's a lesson the be learnt in that...,right?...

  • Don't even start blaming the sports drink. You weren't prepared for the race.

  • Yes, the drink came after the cramps. I was thinking about the buckwheat granola....as soon as he mentioned it. I don't know much about it, but I think its a type of seed so it's harder to digest. And Tim didn't usually do that...so the body is thrown off.
