  • Teraz widze (tzn słysze) że Venom zerżnął stąd riff do swojego tytułowgo utworu z debiutanckiego krążka. Nawiasem uwielbiam Venom i Budgie

  • Rockowe klasyczne łojenie- To Kocham!!!!!

  • Budgie were a brilliant sounding band.

  • Yep.. This might be Budgie's shittiest song and yet... I still dig it.

  • Didn't Budgie release their first album in 1971? Because in the description it says being played as early as 1973. I think that is wrong?

  • I hate to sound stupid but is this Burke Shelley singing?

  • @hermygagala Yes indeed it is

  • @DoomMetalSludge And people think he only sings in a high voice. He is quite a versatile vocalist.

  • One of the finest live bands, ever!!!

  • a very underated band with crackin riffs, they should have been massive, but what happened ?

  • @rickydicky100 second the motion

  • venom ,

  • the worlds most recycled riff. epic.

  • @NinjaJedi11 Yeap true dude "Accept : Flash Rockin Man" (1982) a great example .-)

  • While Iron Maiden took the main riff for this for their song "2 Minutes to Midnight", I'm sure Budgie was probably listening to the song "Rock and Roll" by Led Zeppelin, which is based on one of the most popular structures in rock and roll, the 12 bar blues progression (in A). This just proves that all good music is derived from the blues.

  • @DoomMetalSludge Wish there were more dudes like you on the scene, givin things a bit of thought, i.e. remember the era that budgie derived from. Listen to the sound man this is a THREE PIECE, Magic.

  • What's with these guys and exotic birds??

  • @Nikiyolstik not all of them but heres a few swords of tequila-riot welcome to hell- venom play it loud- diamond head stranglehold- ted nugent seek and destroy- virtue curse of the pharoahs- mercyful fayte stand up and shout- dio skin o' my teeth- megadeth flash rockin man- accept head out to the highway- judas priest there may be slight variations but the VERY beginning of the riff is the same
  • iron maiden 'the ripper' ripped this riff wow haha

    but both songs are cool

  • @jingsken the Song "The Ripper" Is by Judas Priest Right?

  • Not only Maiden, this has been done by Praying Mantis, Venom , Riot and Mercyful Fate as well.

  • those who only talk about how is metallica ripping off maiden riffs should listen to this song and shut the fuck up

  • Iron Maiden two minutes to midnight.... haha

  • @DoomMetalSludge

Budgies Wildfire Was Done in 1980 Iron Maidens 2 Minutes to Midnight was Done In 1984 Iron Maiden Also Done A Cover Of A Budgie Song Called "I Can't See My Feelings"

  • It's a bit AC/DC like but cool as well you know!

  • Impeckable...

  • Fucking Brilliant!!! There's Certain Bands that I Will Love Until the Day I Die, BUDGIE Is One Of those Bands!!!

  • Yes, I am also reading Mustaine's book and he mentions how much he liked Budgie! I had never heard of them and now I have. Dave, thanks for sharing! You rock!

  • Never even heard of this band 'til I bought the autobiography of Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) the other day. He and Lars Ulrich (Metallica) have Budgie listed as one of their top 3 fav bands... The others are I.Maiden and Motorhead

  • Are this guys the first ones involved in heavy metal?

  • it is a bonus track, never appear on any studio album.....a B side track.....

  • This Song Is BAD-ASS!!! \m/ (-_-) \m/

  • Uwielbiam Budgie!

  • I like the band but, the singer looks like a total nerd :D haha

  • 11:58.....can't say anithing else....hahahahaha

  • This is so killlller!

  • No nO nO nonononononononono this is iron maiden 2 minuetes to midnight

  • ALL BUDGIE ROCKS! Bought my first Budgie import album 37 years ago.Awsome.Thanks for posting.

  • i love budgie, but i feel this was their weakest era. the songs they were writing in late 70's/early 80's were going along the rocka nd roll type route, in contrast to the heavy-sludge rock of the early days where they were truly awesome.great band though. just my opinion folks

  • Never get tired of this song \m/ awesome :D

  • awesome song,sick outro

  • what album is this from??

  • It's from the 1980 EP "If Swallowed Do Not Induce Vomiting"

  • @th1rdey3 I got it off that EP If Swallowed Do Not Induce Vomiting.

  • this has to be the most ripped of metal riff ever

  • jak nie jak tak!!!! Dziazyc!!!

  • I just found out that Tony Bourge is born on the same day as me. Not the same year, but still :)

  • Iron maiden ripped this riff off , 2 minutes to midnight .

  • @benbews There are millions of riffs that sound like that.

  • Budgie was great?Thrashaholic-they still are and tonorrow ill see em in Coolangatta-queensland.

  • fuck yeas

  • Budgie werent great

    they will always be great

HAA YOU THOUGHT I WAS A DICK THEN

  • hay man put the lyric on the side love sing this track I cant talk, I cant walk I cant think, I cant drink I cant crawl, I cant fall I cant move, but I can groove I got a wildfire, I got a wildfire in my bed Shes just a wildfire Wildfire is a high wire in my head Thats what I said She dont cook, a she dont look She cant dance, she put me in a trance
  • Haven't heard this for years..Fantastic Band. Takes me back to my headbanging days.!!!

  • budgie was great

  • Nice job dude! I like how you know their nee's and DOB's. Do they have any hot single sisters or cousins?

  • Great voice! It actually reminds me of Paul Rodgers, Dusty Hill and a few more.

  • Totally pure NWOBHM , It reminds me the Tygers Of Pan Tang with Deverill´s best times !

  • You're right! Tygers totally rip Budgie off!

  • czysty dźwięk to jest ważne a film bardzo użyteczny wraz z ich okładkami płyt

  • The Vocal squeal on this reminds me of Dusty Hill from ZZ TOP.

  • It's a standard blues rock progression of course loads of other things are gonna sound similar. It's still a great song by a great band

  • Compare this to Iron Maiden's "Two Minutes To Midnight."

  • Well... it's still a good song >:O

  • Compare 2 minutes to midnight with Riot song Swords and tequila recorded one year before this second version of Iron Maiden band.

  • watch?v=k7QvICcWIEE It sounds similar, but it's not the same riff.

  • first thing i thought of lmao!

  • Track was originally released on 12" single -

If Swallowed Do Not Induce Vomiting. Is not on original vinyl copy of Power Supply.

    Info. probably on internet.

  • This is coooool....!! thank you man! peace

  • Thanks, I'll keep looking.

  • Which Budgie album is this off of?

  • you can find it on "the BBC recordings" and "life in san antonio" and "we came we saw".. if there's any other budgie album featuring this song please let me know.

  • I'm pretty sure you can find it on "Power Supply." That's a great album. Every cut should be on here

  • Yes it's on Power Supply (1980). Four years before Maiden recorded 2 Minutes To Midnight.

  • @prodeckman It's On the Rare 1993 CD Release Of Power Supply, They Put the "If Swallowed do not Induce Vomiting" EP On there as Bonus Tracks which Includes this and 3 Other songs. The CD's Hard to Come By now though.

  • @insaneclownbrian actually i found it relatively cheap on amazon, but soon itll probably go rare again

  • @prodeckman this song is also featured in the 1993 Power Supply CD reissue.

  • @prodeckman this song is also featured in the 1993 Power Supply CD reissue. And also in their EP "If Swallowed Do Not Induce Vomiting"

  • @Winterstick549 dont know about albums, but its on the 1980 ep if swallowed do not induce vomiting.

  • @Winterstick549 It's on Power Supply from 1980 :)

  • Maiden totally ripped this main riff off! 2 Minutes to Midnight.

  • Venom's "Welcome To Hell" also has a similar riff.

  • @killerb720 I was thinking exactly the same thing!

  • @killerb720 If you called them on it they would probably be like "Aw fuck they caught us!" The guys in Maiden are huge Budgie fans.

  • @dantes1815 so true. Maiden has done tons of Budgie covers. At least they acknowledge the band! But, 2 minutes is def. a ripoff of this song's riff!

  • @killerb720 idk when this particular song was written, but ALOT of bands have used this riff.... (riot, judas priest, diamond head, venom, accept, and MANY others)

  • @killerb720 imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

  • @killerb720 hey things are not that simple, 2 minutes to midnight is a song with a vey different groove and it´s also a great song

  • @killerb720 there are hundreds of riffs that sound like this,,, it has nothing to do with ripoff, but wioth the fact that it is avery generetic, simple riff idea that uncountable amounts of guitarists have. even i once wrote a riff like this when i was playing the guitar for two years, not knowing that it already existed like 1000 times.

  • @killerb720 that riff in general is ripped off by everyone. There is even a video on youtube called the most ripped off riff in metal and this is it

  • @killerb720 good spottin man

  • @killerb720

Ironic as that is probably their worst song IMO.

  • BUDGIE KICKS ASS AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!

  • Love !

  • Fantastic mate

  • Exellent

  • great!!

  • Yeah,man!!!
