  • I have troubles separating a kimura from a keylock. In so many scenarios they look the same. Is it the direction you bend your opponent's arm that's the difference? Can somebody enlighten me? :)

  • just get to the throw already :)

  • sounds like hes stepping on broken glass

  • This is easy to pull off on bjj and wrestlers but a judoka will just drop into a tani otoshi throw and karo knows that.

  • Press 5 to see what he is not.

  • Masahiko Kimura uses this pitch in the first steps of Judo

  • This technique is such shit. 1:00-1:15 is a fucking joke! It's no wonder Karo is where he's at now...garbage technique (aside from his judo) combined with litte discipline and a thing for pain meds put him right out of a job. Twice.

  • @twostepstrummer1 ask minotauro if its a joke

  • heý_ÅNÿönE_wANÑÁ_chÂt_wíth_më_ì_féèl_sØ_lòñÈlÿ_tödÃY╝

  • @LonelyyyTaliaaa520 Get the fuck out.

  • Playing the vid from 2:05 to 2:06 sums up Karo nicely.

  • Sweet wife beater Karo.

  • Did Parisyan popularize this move?

  • SAKURABA WINS!

  • Take notes people! Karo has a great Kimura!

  • Wrist control, always works. (Y)

    Now take out your gun.

  • @kungfusushi hahahaha nice. derrick comedy.

  • Glad your back!

  • Welcome back to the UFC Karo!

  • Like youll get the time to do this with an aware opponent.(sarcasm)

  • @jumpman366 so GSP and Dave Strasser weren't aware during their fights with Karo? Cuz they got hit with this move. GSP didnt tap but Dave sure did.

  • good god... my sensei took 20 minutes to explain this and i didn't understand it at all. i watch this once and i pick it up right away.

  • That took him 4 minutes to explain,, my senpai in that amount of time would have shown the dolo what to do and be watching us it bye now lol then again the majority of us have been there a while to

  • lol he he turned strikforce down didn't get rejected hahah go read the article they wanted to give karo a 5 deal contract but karo just wanted one casue he just put on one of the most dominating perfomance in MM IMPACT finishing the australian hero with a rear-naked choke and threw the motherfucker on his head with his sick ass throws!!!!!!!!! Came back after a year and showed everyone what's uppppppp... this guys is all RAW TALENT!!!!!! YEAHHHH

  • That looks so gay, 2:06-2:07 "i'm not straight"

  • @darkweapon0524 way to point that out lol

  • @darkweapon0524 there must be something in your head thats bothering you

  • @darkweapon0524 ahaha like he's positioning his arm for a hand job

  • Dude may have his share of demons but this is one of the nastiest sub artists

  • wow, he makes it look so easy. (sarcastic)

  • That short in the bike shorts has a really cute butt.

  • easier in full guard position

  • The heat is badass!

  • fuck karo, nate diaz all the way baby,

  • @hakar Karo would armbar Diaz.

  • karo you fucking idiot why did you get kicked from UFC, you were one of my favs

  • he did drugs.

  • painkillers, yeah. i guess you can't read what i said literally, more like, WHY KARO WHY!!

  • @firdaus125

    yo what happened to karo?

  • @kbs01 got sacked from UFC for taking a cocktail of painkillers and stuff, recently heard he got rejected from Strikeforce as well

  • go Karo, represent us armenians!!!

  • great fighter n smart on the ground n feet

if ufc doesnt want him id be happy to see him fight in strikeforce

  • that be epic to see pulled off in a fight

  • Agreed, only because I don't think you could ever see this pulled off against an athletic invidual that has even the slighlest knowledge of submission and throwing arts like Judo, JJ or BJJ. Just wouldn't happen.

  • Dana white said karo wont ever fight in the ufc again ever!!!!! :(

He probably will come bak though.

  • Shit! Wow!

  • This is so awesome, I did this at a street fight and automatically thought of Karo afterwards :D

  • @Xeyan did you now?

  • tough guy. id kick your ass and get you into an omaplata

  • This can also be done if your opponent has your back and has locked his arms around your waist. Drop into a half squat, push your thumbs into the space created between your waist and the guys arm and push it down and away, as you do that swithch to the kimura lock and youll be in the same positiong as the takedown.

  • That is my fav move.

  • Comment removed

  • That is a kimura starting on the standing position followed by a sumi gaeshi takedown and finishing at the side guard control. It's a bit complex but it's still pretty effective. Karo has already tapped opponents out with this sequence. Good footage.

  • This submission is incrediby painful. If the pain doesnt make you tap first, then your shoulder breaking definitly will force the tap.

  • This is sick

  • fart at 3:43

  • wayooo wayoooo your a true gangstaaaa

    respect man

  • Karo is so good

  • anyone who does mma knows that kimura lock is quick to apply an if done right hurts like hell

  • If it's done too fast it can dislocate a shoulder. That shit hurts.

  • Why step to his side if you're just gonna step back in front of him for the over arm grip? It's not a quick and fluid.

  • Its been too long he'll finally be back at ufc 106

  • Yes, we see the lock Karo. haha

  • Can you simply pull guard from standing once you've got the kimura locked in?

  • ....

  • lol as i was watching this, they showed him on spike tv

  • hahha sick

kimura does this in his instructional its on youtube somewhere!!!

  • Darn this looks effective after you handle it. Hard though...

  • looks.. like its hard .. to do..!! for a versatile fighter.. i think ... its not easy.. to do it.. BUT! i can guaranteed that you can do it 100% .. from MR.BEAN... lol

  • sweet move

  • ive been fightin for 4 years and that is one of the hardest moves to learn i still havent got it down

  • then you are dumb

  • Cos there are so may other affective ways to not only ake someone down but submit them, I hate this move and will never use it! It's too complicated for any fight, you will not be in a situation to use this to it's full effect, pointless teachin it IMO!

  • it might be hard to get but this is one of the most affective submission moves if applied correctly

  • do u ever watch mma at all? ive seen more fighters then i care to count tap from this sub.

  • Do name

  • fedor alone has subbed 3 fighters from it. Brian stann was subbed by one. Frank Mir subbed antoni hardonk with it, Karo himself subbed Dave strasser with it who also got subbed by it from GSP as well. Travis lutter subbed Grzegorz Jakubowskiv with it. Renzo gracie a master of bjj got subbed by it from Kazushi Sakuraba. Should i continue

  • I'm not saying it's the best or most used sub, but is a popular and effective one.

  • @Ryo456 Now there's a person who knows their history. I love it. I liked Kazushi Sakuraba back in the day.

  • i actually did this exact takedown/sub to a guy who picked a fight with me in a parking lot this past summer. very effective.

im actually surprised that it isn't more popular with fighters who have a strong wrestling back ground, the entire takedown is a modified arm drag.

  • Very good Karo.

    Underestimated.

  • seems so simple... yet so difficult to do when against trained opponent =/

  • my kimura is different

  • USE MUNKEE GRIP GOD!!!

  • eta xida la teknika

  • karo is the man!!! one one the BEST instructors and his book is the shitttt!!!!!

  • Karo I get IT! You're fuckign sideways...

  • it sucks!

  • karo was dominated the first round but clearly one the second and edged out the third against kim

  • THATS SO COOL BCUZ THATS EXactly HOW HE WON HIS UFC 44 MATCH

  • you fucking dumb ass he ain't indian and fuck you!!

  • hes Armenian like me : )

  • You have to be kidding me? He's armenian, for fucks sake!

  • don was only handing on karo's back and only had the 1st round it was close but karo had more take downs and took round 2 and 3!

  • that korean dude, kim, won the fight vs. karo. only thing karo did was 2 throws. the rest of the time kim controller karo easily. ufc judges really biased sometimes, sucks.

  • BRO !

  • amazing thanks a lot

  • Much to advanced for me. But really eloquent take down and submission. I like his cross tatoo. He is one Christian who I suspect would not let you strike his other cheek :)

  • *sculpture

  • seen it yesterday! lets chat

    anyone want to chat UF

  • search up frank mir doing the kimura. the guy's a beast.

  • wow that's technical as.....lol

too many steps... i'd rather just smash their head in....lol Too many years to get the experience up to pull that off.

  • Once you get it into your system the Kimura is pretty instinctive.

My "go to" move is the Rear Naked Choke. When I see somebody's back - I'm ready to apply the choke. Comes naturally.

  • even in bed.. when ur partner shows his/her back, u r going for the RNC

  • that's how I lost my last girlfriend...

  • damn, i remembered when I tried to teach my (ex)girl moves like calf-crush, figure four heel lock, and the different mounts during 'round; intervals.

  • Yeah, my (ex)girlfriend hated that too. And the wristlocks dude, the wristlocks.

    Jitz are anti-relationship. :P

  • hahahaha

  • yea dont thinku can just watch this and then execute it

  • damn gus hansen is jacked

  • i dont like this technique at all. Unless your an expert and have practiced this move many times, i wouldnt try it. If you do it wrong, you give up your back

  • since my background is muaythai, after i lock the kimura i will turn towards my opponent and start throwing my right knee to his face or to the groin if it is a street fight.

  • That's pretty fuckin brutal man. Careful, that might be a little bit much force. Groin yes, but head you could really rattle someone up permanently, which the law doesn't look so kindly on.

  • This is a good move for fighters with experiance. an expert can do a lot of damage with this, a novice however places themselves at great risk attempting this for a number of reasons, the most prominant being that if you slip with the kimura lock at the start your back is exposed and you are then faced with the prospect of fending off a rear naked choke which is bloody hard to do even if your not a beginner if your opponent knows how to apply it. train hard if you want to do techniques like this

  • I'd love to see a variation of this with the lock as a standing submission.

  • its basically the same

your hands are ontop of the shoulder and u move around the body

the usually you move the lock into the bouncer well not usually it sorta naturally happens

  • When you get the lock from the standing position (like at 1:19), just turn to the right while moving behind your opponent.

  • ye using guns are great if u whant to spend half ur life in jail.....

  • Please dont post sexual comment's on this site. This is judo not a sex video.

  • and id luv to stand on your face 'seriousatheist' but some might find that offensive, you disrespectful piece of shit. letting people know your gay just to piss them off is not clever.....

  • So.. is MMA street effective?

  • Not really. A cop with a Sig Sauer will put you down before you can say Kimura.

  • rofl what a bullshit... of course u cant win without a weapon in range, but if u are close (max 50cm) they made tests 60% make the overpower without geting hurt. the rest 40% only got wounded, but not badly. so your fucking shitgun gives u no big advantage in the close if the other is trained to overpower somebody with a weapon.

  • as much as im a judo and mma guy yea ur right guns get the job done pretty fast just takes balls of steel to do it but i guess when ur lifes on the line..........

  • only against unarmed opponents, and against a group they wouldnt go to the ground until theres only one left.

  • against an opponent armed with a knife ground fighting and standard grapling would be a stupid idea, standardpunshing and kicking could work but would be very risky

  • Haha this Armenian will fuck the living shit out your ugly Mongol ass you uneducated prick!!!!

  • lah thao def. christian allen on kimura nice

  • tru

but its alright to use certain armlocks on thestreet butnot oneslikethis that leave ur backexposed or take u to the ground withur oppenent

its good to throw and run away

  • Great explanation!!! 5*****

  • For all of you that talk about using this on the strret, this is not good on the street, on the street you have to fiinish your opponent, nobody is going to tap and then the fight is over, on the strret you have to put them to sleep, either by punching them or choking them, armlock will just end up with you breaking his shoulder and going to jail or something like that, and never get to the ground on the street, if you throw him, don't get down, just kicks his ribs or something.

  • great advices, its a dumb thing use jiu jitsu or ground techniques in the street you are going to mess up elbows , knees and every part of your body that touches the ground.

i have a fight in the street and my arms look like i was lost the fight whatever i end in with a rear naked choke, and a kick to the torso then i run hahaha, he was a big guy hahah

dont use ground techniques on the street

or dont fight in the street

  • if u choke them they will die at least when u break their arm they will be in much pain not to harm u

  • They won't die if u choke 'em. ever heard of the sleeper-hold / bloodchoke? You can put guys to sleep with that. You dont have to choke 'em to death:P

  • yeah but if you choke them after theyre knocked out they can die.

  • Correct, but as I said before:

"You dont have to choke 'em to death:P"

  • it can be risky since some people die more easily from this

  • Good video, explains everything I wanted to know about the Kimura!

  • Is this shit gonna work on the street? i dont know man it looks kinda risky it takes time a lot of shit can happen in between

  • If it looks too risky, don't use on the street. Or you could get really good at it so you don't mess up. Besides, why would you want to use it "on the street"? You break the guy's shoulder, then go to jail.

  • well if its life threatening and if u were using it for self defense i dont think u would go to jail

  • This device is really a good Juijitsu Training Arm Im going to get one to train my kung fu at home I want to show you this style of training to you, just do a search for the martialarm in youtube or google.

  • how to you just do the "Kimura", if anyone knows any vidoes and sends them to me i will suscribe to them. send the videos to my profile and any other good submission vidoes

  • great move

  • silly silly people....it wasnt nick diaz..it was nate...he argued with on the show..

  • I used to like Karo until I saw him visiting his cousin in the Ultimate Fighter. The guy has serious character issues and even made someone as dislikable as Nick Diaz look sensible. But all in all the man can fight and this is a great technique.

    Thanks for posting!

  • No bro he beat Nick Diaz that was Diego Sanchez and that was a VERY close fight which I gave the first 2 rounds to karo clearly!! He lost the last minute of the fight cause of his cardio!! Karo made that fight of the year that was the shit and after that fight I became one of his biggest fans which I always was lol!! Btw, that was his veneer not his real tooth lol!!

  • Thank you. I thought karo won that fight also! Ok karos tooth came out...He still won 2 rounds regardless!

  • Karo you ROCK!!!!

  • i love karo too...but last night i was watching ufc fighrt night and nick diaz beat him...and the worst thing is that nick kneed him in the mouth and his front tooth went flying !!!!no joke

  • It was Diego Sanchez, not Nick Diaz.

  • THANK YOU SINCERLY after i posted this comment i knew i was wrong .then after i couldnt put the name to diego sanchez..my god...thanks bro

  • Your fuckin dumb, that was Diego Sanchez that kneed him in the grill and yes his tooth went flying.

  • thatz very complicated. a lot of steps that must be followed exactly the way it is or you ended in a real bad situation

  • ROFL

  • lol Karo does not look half naked dumbass lol!! LOL Wow we have too many immature hillbillies how sad!!

  • y do u guys have to make fun of them i bet if u actualy UFCed u wouldnt be sayin tht

  • i like it to fight on school lol

  • gread vid.

  • There is nothing sexual about this. Be a little more mature.

  • Uhuh like to see you say that when he get you in an armbar and snaps it like a twig.

  • If this is true, boxing, MMA, and wrestling must be gay. Swimming must be gay too

  • Grat move! But the ony thing bad is when he takes his arm out fast from under his arm pit. That's bad because you are in danger of a standing armbar by the opponent.

  • hi, but if u hold his second arm, the armbar would be possible. Otherwise, I cant imagine how he can apply the armlock. Can u explain me that?

  • is it just me or does it sound like hes yelling
