  • The point is that sensors to detect chemical phermones aren't good enough yet, so they used light instead. The interesting part is the behaviour, the light is only a practical stand-in for chemical pheremones.

  • BORRRRRRRRING.

  • you obviously dont know what this is if you think its boring... this kind of new tech is whats going to be around in numerous harvesting applications in the future.

  • wow that's the best foraging I've ever seen! wtf!

  • Oh i can totally see hotwheels simulating hive insects could have practical applications, not.

Show me a robot that can walk and that cool, show me a robot that can think and that's cool, but a robot that smells optically is very trivial in my perspective.

  • cool lights!

  • ok...lemme try to explain (at least i think this is what happened) at about 1:03 and 1:04 you can see a guys arm reach out for one of these robots. give me the impression that they did this in room and turned off the lights, showing the 'pheremone' and allows the robots to collect food.

  • This looks fake, if I am wrong please comment me with viable proof.

  • What the hell was that?

  • I'm confused lol

  • human's will kill each other with engineered viruses or some bio warfare long before robots will.

  • I vote for Solar Flares...

  • solar flares would a sweet way to go...

  • this has happened before and will happen again.

    Ex. Skynet, Cylons

  • Just think one day we will no longer need ants!

  • You need to teach them how to go BACK along the "pheromone" trail after they have returned home.

  • interesting.
