  • A BEAUTIFUL SONG .I am The mother of an 8 year old autistic little boy I love him so much he is my bestfriend not just my son I could not imagine a day without him

  • This is a stunning song. You are very lucky to have him.AND you made him, so you're also very clever!

  • He is here love like you have never loved before he is the most beautiful gift from up above thank him for every day you have him. I learn that all I need is a smile or a laugh. He does it every day I am with him. I hurt not hearing it but that is him. I wish your family a long time with him. From a mother of a special little guy Carla.

  • It seems that he is doing great, and he is developing in a normal manner, it would be much better if u upload a video about how he is developing, and what methods are you using to let him over come his autism.

  • He is such a sweet child, you are a beautify family.

    God bless you all :)

  • I HATE AUTISM. IT HAS TAKEN TOO MANY LITTLE ANGELS FROM THIS WORLD. :(

  • Hello My name is Ryan Michael Held I have Autism/ aspergers I am emotinally impaired and 19 years old I love this song thankyou thankyou it touched me making sad with tears. • AWESOME....Made me cry...IF he can do this..WHAT ELSE can your little star accomplish? This goes out to all parents....our kids (no matter how closed in) are IN THERE!...go find them!

Each child is, and will be, an inspiration. I'm very proud to say i'm the father of an autistic boy who's breaking ALL the misconceptions and stereotypes. At age 2, we were told he'd never speak! He's now 8 and THRIVING. NEVER GIVE UP.!!!!!!!!!

  • very touching video and beautiful message. your son is truly special and truly lucky. i am the father of an 11 year old son who means the world to me too. he is diagnosed with asperger's and epilepsy. i know what you are experiencing. thank you for such a wonderful song and video! thank you for sharing your wonderful family and video.

  • I am a 45 yr old Autistic man>>> Autism is a life long disability... We must find a way for others to understand us until we find a cure for true Autism.... Aspergers is not on the Autism spectrum and should never have been...................

  • Wow wonderful song - My 3 year old son Ryan was lying next to me when we found your video - we both watched it and after I turned to him and he was crying! I've never seen him react to something quite like that - when I ralised he was upset I asked why and he said because it was a lovely song. I told him I'll save it in my favourites and when ever he wants to hear it he's just to ask for his song xxx

  • My son was diagnosed with moderate to severe autism at 2 and we were told he would never speak. He's now 7, in mainstream school, in the right class for his age and we cannot keep him quiet :). If anyone out there needs some help/advice/chat, please get in touch...Kevin.

  • I have Asperger's Syndrome, so it's really nice to see folks that tryta understand autism, your autistic kid, and accept your son for who he is. You must be really great parents, and it makes me glad to see that some people do try to understand and don't think it's some giant tragedy.

  • how beautiful.

your son, your song, and your heart.

  • WOW amazing song amazing son & something i could somewhat relate too~when i read 'ryan has a brother too' my eldest son has hydrocephalus, then i had another son 20 mths who is healthy and my gosh what a difference it is...wouldn't have it any other way tho

was ryan your 1st child? if you don't mind me asking??

  • Thank you for the kind words. Yes, Ryan is our first and as you said we wouldn't have it any other way. Check out "Colors", I wrote that for my youngest who now takes on a more "older brother" role with Ryan.

  • my brother has got Autism hes at a nursery to help him the now but hes been held back a year :/ , murdos amazing even when he takes his tantrums it can be hard at times still love him though :D

  • I'm an aspergers/tourettes 17-year-old.. that's good music and respect your good attitude about it.

  • Thank you, do you play any kind of instrument or just like to listen?

  • I study piano, and I've experimented with guitar, handbells, organ and recorder. I have many videos up of me playing classical piano. But I enjoy listening to almost any kind of music!

  • Sorry! I replied from my other account by accident. The reply from 7ut6df was mine.

  • I love the song. I am a 45 yr. old Autistic man. On Saturday I walked in the Portland walk for Autism Speaks and we had 4 protesters from a radicle group who are mainly Aspergers. Channel 6 news in Portland broadcasted a story about the walk. They said that we (Autism Speaks) promote hate within the Autism community. We do not!!! Watch a video called "I am Autism" and judge for yourself... We "Autism Speaks" want to help Autistic children, Adults ect. We want edutcation & research. We help...

  • Thank you for the comment, all the best

  • great work ! I thank you for your work

  • Autistic kids are the sweetest!

  • This is one of the sweetest videos I have ever seen, it's great :).

  • Mark,

What a wonderful way to honor your son. I loved watching the clip of your family. You're so right-God has a plan for everything-even "normal" and yet it can be so easy to forget that. Thank you.

    Amy

  • my name is amy too

  • I am a Mom to 4 ASD kids one is named Ryan , your tribute to your son and others who have this touched me . I'm actually writing this through tears. Music touches our Ry-Man too. Queen/Freddie Mercury in particular. Its like the part of the brain that is effected , isn't the same part music reaches.God bless you and all of us fighting for our kids.

  • That's great, just noticed you call him Ry-Mann too. Ry-guy, Ry-man, he is simply brilliant. He likes Queen also, the changes in BR he loves and sings along to on American Idol home game.

  • Beautiful video!!!!

  • I wish that people would stop treating these children as steerage on the Titanic, locked in the hulls as the ship is going down. They are VERY loving, very smart. They have other ways to communicate. There is hope, there is treatments available. My son was non verbal, non responsive 5 yrs ago. Now in normal classes

  • I apologize for the last comment for those who had to see it. Hard to believe there are people out there that would be that hateful against our beloved and innocent angels. I had him removed and would appreciate any notification if you see this again. Take care and as always thank you for the support.

  • For the Mombuck, I have clicked Spam by accident, please remove the Marked as Spam. For Mombuck I see a Ryan something like myself.

  • Yes, Ryan is a gift from God. You have a beautiful son. A beautiful song. I too am a musician/singer/songwriter; I wrote songs for autism awareness. I also have Aspergers Syndrome, a form of autism.

  • How is your Ryan doing now? My Ryan is starting first grade soon. He has problems with authority and making good choices. But academically, he is where he needs to be. Socially, he's pretty much a loner. That breaks my heart, because I'd like for him to make a friend.

  • yeah my baby max,hes very same as your baby ryan,my mother said hes not paying attention in my mothers instructions and doing things repeatedlly hes also hard to controll and sometimese stubborn when he feels stress.i call him almost everyday just to talk to him, hes telling stories that i dont understand but im still happy when he say's i love you too when i said i love him...

  • Ryan is doing great, he is in school and there are lots of services helping him along but he is in normal classes. His personality is really starting to come through and this has always been his strong suit as most teachers enjoy him. Every day is a blessing! Take care.

  • i am 26 years old from the philippines i have brother who is autistic and just today my mother told me that my 6 years old son have a mild autism said by the doctor,im so worried about him because im so far away and working outside the country im so sad.

  • Are there any programs available in the Philippines for the Autistic? It's amazing how well you can reach an autistic person once you know how to channel them. It's actually fortunate that the diagnosis was mild autism. Did they say high functioning or low functioning? I'll hold a good thought for you and I hope you can get through it like I did. My son was diagnosed 3 years ago. He must have discipline and a very structured routine Still, I wouldn't have him any other way. Take care:)

  • wow this is a great song my brother has autism and my dad wrote a song about him it is what i wonder u should check it out its nice to know others care

  • I tried to check out your dad's song "What I Wonder" couldn't find it on youtube?

  • I cried whilst listening to your song, it is beautiful. My son is also Autistic and considering the number of children affected nowadays, you'd think more and more people would understand Autism. Why then do I feel so alone?.

Thanks for the video. Ryan is a blessing as are all children.

  • Thank you for the comment. One thing is for sure, you are not alone!

  • This is a wonderful, inspirational video and song. Thank you for sharing it with us.

    <3

  • i cryed to yes thank you for posting this i also have an autistic son and its nice to see positive things on it

  • I cried too. My 8 year old also has an ASD (Asperger's Syndrome). Thank you so much for posting a positive autism video.

  • Thanks to all of you for the positive comments. My family and I truly appreciate it and enjoy sharing with you!

  • Your video made me cry...My 2 youngest children have both been diagnosed as autistic...my 2 year old at this point is very low functioning...I love the song....thank you so much for reminding me just how special my babies are...thank you

  • I love the song! I too have a son named Ryan. My son was diagnosed at 3 with PDD-NOS. He started receiving treatments and services right away. He's 5 now, and he seems alot closer to normal. Public ventures can be a nightmare though. Timeouts are still a must, even though he hates them :) Ryan is considered high functioning, and school is going well for him. They say his condition will change over time.

  • This is a wonderful video and song. My son Zak is also autistic and everyday is a challenge but has enriched my life so much. so much love, so much patience ... these children are soo special..they are teachers and we, the adults, are the pupils.

thank you so much for a beautiful song and message..Shine on Ryan..Shine on Zak.. Shine on all blessed children.

  • Beautiful song. Lovely family! Thank you for the PosAutive message.

  • This was a wonderful video and song.

I am an autistic adult. I see that Ryan and I both have a love for animals.

This video is proof that while it can cause struggles, autism can also be positive.

  • Wonderful, absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

I have two children with Autism and I feel the same way. Fantastic song and video, definitley added to my favorites.

    Thank you for sharing! :)

  • 5 Stars all around! Great song, message and pictures. Ryan is perfect!! What does normal mean anyway? I guess it means "the majority". Well..I guess I'm not normal either. COOL!!!

The way Ryan interacts with animals is beautiful. If we can all experience animals the way Ryan does, this world would be different. Love is the answer. Love is the way. Blessings, Gahana

  • OMG!! I had to say this.. your son has the same name as mine, who is also autistic. He also likes the same activities as yours. I agree with you 100 % that our son is unique, and God made a plan for us! Fabulous show!

  • That was the most beautiful video i have ever seen and heard. I was almost in tears over it. You are such a wonderful father to your two wonderful boys. Keep up the good work.
