religion is just a way to control the masses..... the people should not have bought into this- this means that they were not very religious and in fact evil.... even if the little girls were hallucinating- they accused innocent people.... even if it was true - dont they care that someone is going to be imprisoned or die.... it just speaks alot about the culture and the hypocrisy - people accused innocent people because they were odd, or they had wealth and land....
@canadiandrummer54 I thought it was ergot poisoning on rye. Same concept with the physical illness, convulsions and hallucinations but I've never heard of the corn blight. Do you have any sources I could read on this?
"THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES IS NOT IN ANY SENSE FOUNDED ON THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION." (Treaty of Tripoli, Article 11: Written during the Administration of George Washington and signed into law by John Adams.)
Witchcraft includes scripts specificly designed to create chaos and capitalize on the confusion. Deception has the affect of mental kryptonite, causing people to argue democrat/republican socialism/capitalism as the corruption flourishes.
nice job. hope you recieved a good mark for this video. the history of this "situation" and the times that brought it to seed is increadabley harsh.a special thank you for remembering all of the victims, those accused,as well as those that we executed.
many people foreget that so many were imprisoned without ever meeting the hangman. the the jails were horrid ,with fettish water and no sewer....awful. that alone was a death sentence to some. we should remember all of the vicims . thanx.
nice job. hope you recieved a good mark for this video. the history of this "situation" and the times that brought it to seed is increadabley harsh. I have been to salem many times, i love it there.
well thanks for sharing will be using this as a reffrence to a paper i am writting for a written anylsis class. as far as those puritains they do not reflect Christianity in 1692. they had thier theology all mixed up. for one they had the king of england henry the 6th as head of the church. These people did not follow Jesus Christ, They followed man made laws, they were religous fanatics and filled with legalism and fear that lead to hysteria.
Remember, these are servents of the King of England. They are ready to fight and die for the crown, The King of England is still today the head of the Church of England. If a prince is catholic he is more or less declared dead in teh annuals (though his children are fine) of history and is allowed no where near power. These guys believed any against christianity were against the king, therefor they were traitors and spies as well as witches. Witch hunts also kept the rich richer.
i am a wiccan i am called a witch because we do cast spells and make potions but only for good not bad and dont call me or any other wiccan or pagan a satanist we dont believe in satan or hell and we dont have a devil or hell in our religion
@123moonwolf1 The most important part, do you or your family own any land that the local magistrate or officials might want to confiscate from your guilty hands? If not then you're are most likely safe. Unless of course you have a nipple somewhere on your back or side to suckle demon live stalk with, then yea, it's been nice knowing you.
@TheIraq4life meh, puritians were insane, but at the very least within a couple years of seeing what they had done completely appoligized and released all in prison and families of those they killed (and admitted they murdered them in their insanity) and promised to never again force someone to prove their innocence in a court of law. A good side of it is they helped form the judicial system of today.
I have a question though...satan worship, demon possessions, evil things happening.... would you tolerate this from your next door neighbor? Would you tolerate your kids playing outside knowing your next door neighbor is in to human sacrifices? What if your virgin daughter gets influenced and seduced by these satanists? Cool then?
hmmm...this made no mention that the original witches who actually dealt in satan worship are the ones who started accuse innocent people of being witches. The original witches were never punished.
And statism is the newest & most vile religion. Its the belief that the devil which is the state- actually can do anything good- hell its the belief that government is "good and righteous". Yet most morons today cling to that foolish notion that a gang of thieves, liars, murderers, con artists & sexual predators aka the Federal govt is righteous, pure, just & truthful
It is a mold spur that grows on the wheat stalk called Ergot. And, if ingested, it gives symptoms similar to those of LSD; in fact, LSD is made from [mostly] from Ergot. You can't readily see the spur and most likely the girls chewed on a wheat stalk while outside playing and never new what they were eating. Now I don't know about moldy bread, maybe it does give you the same symptoms. But, I thought you might want to know about this. :-)
It should be noted that the Puritans did not "develope" these beliefs and practices in New England. Such was already common in Europe and in England-- they brought these beliefs with them to new England. Said beliefs were actually traditional and to not engage in such activities would have gone against everything that came before them.
The following pattern is testable & repeatable. A modern author with word processing can not duplicate it.
Trust no one, research & investigate. 19 Pagan historians, 2 Roman and 46 other separate Biblical accounts attest to the life and times of Jesus Christ.

First 2 books count 5+2 & circle
Last 2 books count 7-2 & circle
Middle book count 7 & circle
Each Hebrew character circled totalling thousands will spell Torah, the Middle Book over & over & over.....
Those who profited from this, are those who are guilty, as is most often the way.
It is they who are responsible for the ridiculous stories and lies, and theinstigation of such terrible persecutions.
Their children are probably in the whitehouse by now, or very close to it.They are the kind of people we all need to look out for, all the time. They are always there, just waiting for the chance to take advantage of any situation.
MAgic Mushroom sweets would have made the children go nuts.
I think you did a very good job on getting the facts correct. It is very sad that something like the witch trials was allowed to go on in our country, but fear can make people do things they never thought possible. I agree that I think the problem really lies with the girls who had 'fallen sick', but I guess we may never know why they did what they did. Overall great video, I learned a lot!
Great job. I've actually been to Salem and seen witch trial reinactments and this is very in-line with what I learned on that trip. I'm sure you're burnt out on reading about it by now, but there are some really great novels about this time period-many based on individuals' true stories.
In this situation I think that they have to be susceptible to this possession because I believe that some who believes in Jesus could not be possessed, even the demons fear His name and shudder. Sad that this ruined so many lives, but also sad that they allowed it to happen.
After watching this video, I do feel sorry for the lives lost. While I believe that it morally wrong to kill some one for their beliefs, and some may say it was not the girls fault they were acting in this way. I also believe that many times the victims were demon possessed, the convulsions the covering their ears in church lead to this conclusion.
at 2:05 your dates are wrong... 1992? the audio is so soft.

If one eats moldy bread they can get sick & show the same signs. I understand this is what happened to these girls. Any input to this?? )O(

This is what would happen if Creationism was taught in schools and there was a removal of the separation of church and state.
