my tips: 1.always use DMR/Assault Rifle/Shotgun as main,

2.Sniper/Rocket Launcher/Spartan Laser.

3.stand at a distance with the sinper or the spartan laser.

4. if someone comes to close. DON'T RUN AWAY LIKE A PUSSY. if u do the one that killed u WILL t-bag u.

5.Practice in campaign or firefight before u try this.

My tips...

1. Have always DMR/pistol/Needle Rifle as secundary

2. TRY no-scoping as a last resort: you can get couple fancy kills and it might save your life

3. Try to have some kind of priority on enemies: drop enemies with power weapons first

4. Practice practice practice

Pro Tips to Halo 3/reach sniping:

1. If you've been shot while camping in one position, don't go back there. Thats what the other sniper wants you to do.

2. Dont stay still forever, keep moving.

3. Go solo, if you have the rest of your team, your just gona get spotted.

4. Good sniping positions are high up with a good view of the map with some reletively good consealment, e.g trees

5. Aim for the head, saves ammo.

6. Hitting vechircles: always aim for the driver first.

when i first played halo, i aimed for their chests and my team ambushes in for the kill

A better spot would have been the cliff BEHIND Red base [Not the one on the canyon wall with the concussion rifle. I am a expert sniper and I learn to be one at halo 3 too but I am a noob in halo reach I just got my xbox 360.
